when two become one
>> When one icon makes herself into another icon, what do you get? This editorial: Kate Moss as Marilyn Monroe. It's in the April 2006 W, by Mert & Marcus. I would have much preferred to see one of these shots on the front cover, as much as Kate has been getting overexposed lately (she's already named the Dior model for the Fall campaign). Kate over Jessica Simpson anytime. That said, something about this shoot bothers me. Maybe its the fact that Mert&Marcus always seem to use the same colorful background, or maybe it's because the Marilyn hair just looks weird on Kate. Who knows.
A special thanks to Lera for the scans.
