>> I was taking a look the other day at the spring Jovovich-Hawk collection, and some of the dresses definitely live up to the hype the label has been getting. But more than the dresses themselves was the styling that interested me -- it gave me some good ideas.
I've been looking for a good pinafore dress for a while now, but maybe I should just get a cute pinafore apron instead -- it gives the same ruffly affect that I'm looking for. The middle dress is my favorite dress of the collection, I love both the sash and the bustline and the gathered ribbon at the bottom of the tube dress. The latter would be harder to do, but I definitely will have to try the big sash at the bustline. And finally, jumper dresses are a new favorite of mine -- I like how the simple cotton dress peeks out below with a jagged hemline. Makes it a little less schoolgirly.

i love pinafore dresses. i found a really cute one by shakuhachi.
The designs are lovely but having seen them in person, I don't think the quality is all that great for the prices (£300 upwards!). I think your ideas for DIY'ing the Jovovich Hawk effect is a much better option!
i'm sorry, but they look cheap, flimsy, childish, dress-makerish. i hope they are inexpensive because they don't look like something you'd want to have in your wardrobe for a long time.
oh wow, i just adooreeee the middle one !
yummm. i am absolutely in loveee with thoes! I have to say the first one is probably my fav. i wish they had a jovovich-hawk around here
