>> For its fifth anniversary, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund went with the obvious choice, naming Alexander Wang the recipient of $200,000 plus a year of mentoring last night. Vogue favorite Vena Cava and a less expected choice, milliner Albertus Swanepoel of Albertus Quartus, were both named runners-up and will receive $50,000 plus a business mentor. The night's keynote speaker, John Galliano, and his date Charlize Theron were seated next to Anna Wintour and presented the top honors to a teary-eyed Alexander Wang, who said his thank yous onstage as John Galliano rubbed his arm in comfort.
Top hats seemed to be the order of the evening — Julie Gilhart and John Galliano each sported one, the latter with a daisy chain, and Agyness Deyn had on a squished version — while carrot pants and one-shouldered dresses also received numerous nods. Plenty of models are already back in town from the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: Anne Vyalitsyna came with Costello Tagliapietra, Maryna Linchuk with Rag & Bone, Doutzen Kroes with Irene Neuwirth, and Arlenis Sosa Pena with Rogan.

>> It seems like Agyness Deyn hasn't been as ubiquitous lately, but she did show up with fiance Albert Hammond, Jr. to DJ The Humane Society's Cool vs. Cruel ceremony, honoring those committed to fur-free fashion. Aggy's never been outspoken about her furry feelings, but last night, they were made pretty clear by the anti-fur heart sticker on her top.
She must have had a quick change of heart — she's worn plenty of fur on the runways, and just two days before the event, she wore what appears to be a fur jacket to another event. And she's donned fur of her own volition before, sporting it to the Purple Magazine Party in Feb. 2007. Maybe she comes from the Vogue school of thought — Stephanie LaCava stopped by The Humane Society event fur-free, but put on a big fur coat before stopping by another event the same night.

>> THE MODELIZER —These days, Agyness Deyn may just be tooling around New York with Henry Holland and sharing her favorites — including fiance Albert Hammond Jr.'s solo album — but I wonder if she knew a Gossip Girl character was going to be loosely modelled after her? In last night's episode, Willa Holland showed up to play "Agnes," a model. She may not look as much like Agyness as Agyness's own assistant, but the reference was clearly there; I wonder why they didn't just ask Agyness herself to guest star? [PopSugar UK, WWWD]

>> Despite a scathing review in The New York Times yesterday, the" black hole of bad art and superficial temptations," otherwise known as the Chanel Mobile Art exhibition, brought out the well-heeled last night. Editors were in full force — Carine Roitfeld and Franca Sozzani swarmed Karl Lagerfeld upon his arrival, Glenda Bailey and Amy Astley made early cameos — but there was no Anna Wintour in sight . . . nor Bee Shaffer for that matter. Strange, considering how close they are with Karl — Bee was at the Versace-hosted Whitney gala the night before, but no Anna there either. But speaking of missing persons — Catherine McNeil and Freja Beha Erichsen fans will be happy to know that after their well-documented disappearances during Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, they've popped up again — together, no less.

>> THE MODELIZER —Is Agyness Deyn putting a check on all her exposure recently, or is she just sitting out most of this runway season? She has yet to set foot on a Paris catwalk — not even for her friend Gareth Pugh — and only walked Burberry in Milan. It's all suspect: She was in Paris yesterday, but this evening, she's back in London for a Burberry dinner with Christopher Bailey.
UPDATE: According to her good friend Henry Holland, Agyness is sitting out due to a bad case of bronchitis. She sure has bad luck with sickness — last Fashion Month, she was taken by pink eye. [Grazia]
