With almost two full days of Milan menswear shows left to go, and a new round in Paris quickly approaching, we're hesitant to report on trends. One trend we cannot deny, however, is the undeniable prominence of green as a pop color. Collect your prosperity quips, in just two days of shows the color appeared confidently in four runway collections.

The Grass is Always Greener at Missoni

We think that Missoni might be onto something both culturally and emotionally empowering with their very green Spring 2009 collection. The monochromatic, easy, beaded looks were just the perfect offering for what will be challenging season. After all, if there's anything Missoni understands--it's how not to mess with a good thing.

Angela Lindvall Goes Green with Grenier on TV

>> Models are really starting to undertake the green cause: Cindy Crawford has been blogging for Vanity Fair on her eco experiences, Shalom Harlow and Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann teamed up to organize the Earth Pledge FutureFashion show during New York Fashion Week this January, and now Angela Lindvall is joining Adrian Grenier on a new eco-centric TV show, Alter Eco.

The show, which premieres tonight at 10 PM ET/PT on the new channel, Planet Green, is essentially a green makeover series, so Adrian and his team of four — Angela's area of expertise is eco fashion — go out and "green-over" homes, schools, and businesses. Well, that explains her tree-hugging photo-op last week.

L.A. Fashion Week: Recapping The Rest

We brought you our picks from the first few days of L.A. Fashion Week, and now that the week has commenced, here's our roundup of the rest. From Wednesday through Friday a dozen or so designers showed their West Coast versions of Fall 08, and our favorites among them were DDC LAB and Ashleigh Paige. Los Angeles Fashion Week isn't something we have a whole lot to say about but there are a few designers who deserve a little extra recognition. This season, DDC LAB for innovation and Ashleigh Paige for costumery. Funnily enough, these designers showed Fall 08 from the two Los Angeles angles we actually can relate to, namely environmental awareness and old hollywood glamour.

DDC LAB: Designers Roberto Crivello and Savania Davies Keiller showed their DDC Lab Fall 08 collection during L.A. Fashion Week. The draw of their collection, given the basic aesthetic, is in their innovation with fabric and functionality. Blazers that block UV rays, charge your mobile phone, or are otherwise made from environmentally friendly textiles like cork, make for a simple but intelligent statement. The mens and womenswear line for Fall 08 was utility based with that sort of Diesel aesthetic that appeals to twenty somethings who like their fashion simple, modern, and heavy on charcoal and black. Ashleigh Paige: This Fall 08 season Ashleigh Paige showed her Fall 08 collection and convinced Los Angeles that what might be considered 'high end lingerie' is more accurately 'couture swimwear'. The delicate ensembles have questionable authority when it comes to actually submerging oneself in water but, as we know, not every bathing suit donning fashionista likes to swim in the first place. Some, that is, like to lounge under umbrellas with a good book. Swimsuits lined or not, Paige does an excellent job of vamping up your average underthings and giving them that old hollywood appeal that is highly classy however marketable. Wes Gordon Fall 2012

>> For Fall 2012, Wes Gordon went for a "disheveled kind of elegance" - and he delivered. Silhouettes were dramatic with graduated hems and strong shoulders - and cut in an assortment of evening fabrics that ranged from velvet to brocade. There were billowing skirts in marigold silk, slouchy tanks in metallic mesh, and blouses in iridescent organza. But our favorite look? A smartly cropped jacket in lush forest green, complete with a matching, laser-cut peplum that tumbled out over a pair of silk, oxblood trousers. Also of note were the shoes: Manolo Blahnik for Wes Gordon peep-toes in shimmering silver chainmail.

Yigal Azrouel Fall 2012

>> If ladylike and badass made love, Yigal Azrouel's Fall 2012 collection would be their genius offspring. And, like any love child, two genes must each lend their unique touches. Here, the demure (midcalf skirts) met the totally edgy (leather touches and sheer dresses) - still, it's obvious the genes of badass reigned supreme. Fur trapper hats, aviator sunglasses, silver chokers, and leather gloves set the tone, while baby-blue hues and outerwear worn over the models' shoulders lent an air of femininity. Bursts of maroon, forest green, ivory, and oatmeal further kept the collection - and audience - on its toes.

Karlie Kloss Skips New York Fashion Week, Brad Goreski Spills All in His New Book, and Kanye West's Latest Fashion Project

Brad Goreski's new biography, Born to Be Brad, hits bookstores March 6 - and it's reportedly full of some surprisingly sordid details, including cocaine and alcohol abuse. "I was in our bathroom, staring in the mirror, and I didn't recognize myself," Goreski writes. [Stylecaster]

Speaking of March 6, that's the day Kanye West will be taking his second stab at Paris Fashion Week. Now, rumors are swirling that he may also be planning a line for Topshop. However, Topshop's CEO Sir Phillip Green, who was spotted having lunch with West in London, denies that a collaboration is in the works. [Fashionista]

Looks like Karlie Kloss is skipping New York Fashion Week; The Daily Beast's Isabel Wilkinson confirmed the news today via Twitter. "Karlie Kloss won't walk in New York Fashion Week this season because of an 'engagement that has come up,' says her spokesperson," Wilkinson said. [Styleite]

James Franco has directed and shot the latest 7 For All Mankind campaign, featuring Lily Donaldson, Henry Hopper, and Amber Anderson. The campaign - which the brand describes as an "innovative multimedia experience that embodies the brand's California roots and 'forever cool' aesthetic" - launches on a dedicated You Tube channel Feb. 15. Despite a very successful design career, Stella McCartney doesn't think of herself as famous. "I don't think many people recognize me," the designer recently said. "I guess, I grew up with one of the most famous people in the world, so for me, I don't really see it." McCartney goes on to say that she still gets excited when seeing her designs on strangers in public: "I'm embarrassing when I see someone in the street with one of my bags, I'm like 'nice bag'. It's really embarrassing, I need to stop actually!" [Vogue UK]

CFDA Fashion Fund winner Joseph Altuzarra has quite a sweet tooth. The designer - who shows his Fall 2012 collection this Saturday - recently divulged the 12 things he can't live without. Among the goodies on the list? Billy's Bakery carrot cake. "It's my all-time favorite. Nothing beats eating a slice in bed while watching TV." [Elle Decor]

Armani Privé Spring 2012 Couture

>> Metamorphosis and "the woman who is at first calm and easy and then is drawn out of her own skin" were the themes behind Giorgio Armani's Spring 2012 couture outing. Armani also tapped inspiration from reptiles - and, in particular, their shimmering, textural skins, which he rendered in nearly every shade of green. For day, the reptilian theme was present on sharp-shouldered blazers in croc or snakeskin, iridescent draped-front skirts, and slickly tailored pants. For evening, there were mermaid dresses in glistening sequins, scale-printed silk ballgowns, and swirling, second-skin sheaths. With a front row crowd of red-carpet hopefuls - including Jessica Chastain, who learned of her Oscar nod via phone just before the show began - it's safe to say we may be seeing a lot more of these looks very, very soon.

Our Favorite Looks From the 2012 People's Choice Awards

>> Wednesday's People's Choice Awards offered up a host of intriguingly chic red carpet looks. Emma Stone - who took home the win for favorite movie actress - channeled modern glamour in a sleek emerald green Gucci tux, while Jennifer Lawrence charmed in a cutout Viktor & Rolf ensemble so futuristic, it couldn't help but conjure thoughts of her upcoming Hunger Games role. However, perhaps the most captivating look of the night belonged to Ginnifer Goodwin, whose bell-sleeved, hot pink Roksanda Ilincic frock, quite frankly, stole the show. Those looks - plus a few more favorites - here in the slideshow.
