Kate Moss Goes Nude on Vogue Brazil's May 2011 Cover

>> In February, Kate Moss spent five days in both Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo with Mario Testino, shooting for Vogue Brazil's hefty 36th anniversary edition. "We worked the whole time," she told Vogue UK right after the trip. "We shot 60 pages for the magazine. It was a lot. I had Lila with me and I thought it would be more of a holiday, Mario usually finishes quite early, but not this time."

Testino captured her opposite Brazilian symbols of his choice - including architect Oscar Niemeyer, soccer star Pele, actors Rodrigo Santoro and Marcio Garcia, and model Mayana Moura. One location of choice was Rio's Copacabana Palace, where Testino had Moss posing in the hotel's spa and kitchen during working hours. The 508-page edition, which features Moss nude on the cover, hits newsstands May 2.

Alber Elbaz Art Directs for Vogue Brazil December 2009

Elbaz conceived the December 2009 cover of Vogue Brazil, featuring Madisyn Ritland and photographed by Stephane Gallois, as well as an editorial inside, "The Fabulous World of Alber Elbaz" with Ritland and Elsa Sylvan. He even makes an appearance in the last shot, peeking out under a floral hat.

Fashion's Night Out Sets Dates For 2012

Organizers for Fashion's Night Out have set the dates for the fourth annual edition of the global shopping party.

All 19 territories that have their own version of Vogue will observe Fashion's Night Out this year, meaning there will be events in 19 countries spanning three weeks. Below, a breakdown of which nations will join the party, and when:

Sept. 6: Great Britain, the United States, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Australia, and Korea
Sept. 7: China, India, Germany, and Russia
Sept. 8: Taiwan and Japan
Sept. 10 and 12: Brazil
Sept. 13: Portugal, Italy, Turkey, The Netherlands, and Mexico
Sept. 18: Italy
Sept. 20 and 25: Greece

In past years, Fashion's Night Out in the US has been celebrated in more than one city at a time, and this year some other countries will follow suit. Italy, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, and Greece will all host parties in two or three style-obsessed cities - meaning there will be that many more opportunities to see fashion editors and industry folk doing things like this.

Francisco Costa Models, Natalia Vodianova Defends Her "Skinny" Comments, and Opening Ceremony Pops Up in London

Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa landed his first modeling assignment with the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Costa will star in a campaign advertising the organization's new "São Paolo for the Cure!" t-shirts, set to debut tomorrow in his native Brazil. He's joined in the campaign by fellow Brazilians Luciana Casta and Raquel Zimmermann. [Daily Front Row]
Natalia Vodianova took flak for saying "It's better to be skinny than to be fat" at this past weekend's Vogue festival, and today she responded to the criticism on her Facebook page, explaining that her original comment was designed to make people laugh. "If I was giving a speech I would have chosen my words more carefully of course," she wrote. [The Cut]
Opening Ceremony will open its first London store - a pop-up shop - to celebrate the start of the 2012 Olympic games this July. When the games are over, the store will move to a permanent spot on King Street in the Covent Garden neighborhood. "Bringing Opening Ceremony to Covent Garden is an important next step in the growth of our company," said founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. [Catwalk Queen]
The Food and Drug Administration will start monitoring what goes into beauty products sold in the United States by creating a mandatory ingredient registry next year. Current law allows beauty companies to report their ingredients voluntarily, and there are only 10 ingredients that are banned from domestic products. In the European Union, tighter beauty industry regulations have banned some 1,200 ingredients. [Refinery29]
Richemont, owner of luxury jewelers and watchmakers like Cartier and IWC, won a momentous infringement case against a company that registered the trademark for Vacheron Constantin - Richemont's oldest watch brand - in Russia and sold clothes under that label. The outcome of the case means that a well-known trademark in one country can't be taken and reregistered in another country, because it can confuse consumers and harm the original trademark holder's reputation. "This is a landmark case with worldwide implications," said Richemont chief counsel Frederick Mostert. [Material World]

Gisele Bundchen Remains On Good Terms with Victoria's Secret, Is Slowly Choosing Other Priorities Over Modeling

A return to the Victoria's Secret runway doesn't seem likely, though - Bundchen put in seven years as an Angel, and when she left in 2007, she said: "I would like to have different chapters in my life. I mean let's be honest - I do this because it's my job." Besides, she recently told Vogue Brazil: "I think [I'll be] working on things I believe in until the day I’m no longer here, because that makes me want to wake up in the morning.
