Victoria Beckham's already sold-out line of Spring frocks landed on Net-a-Porter this morning and sold out again before the Americans even got out of bed...

Speaking of Net-a-Porter, Stella McCartney has an exclusive capsule collection in the works with the online retailer.

A lot of people wore hats at the opening of the Stephen Jones exhibit in London last night.

United Bamboo just launched menswear and a look book of the lean separates is out.

Preen Fall 2009 Stars a Chubby, Two More Comeback Models

>> There was an "icon revival" casting call this season, and so far, Trish Goff, Tasha Tilberg, Natasa Vojnovic, Christina Kruse, and Hannelore Knuts have all been circulating the runways; joining a couple of the aforementioned this morning at Preen: 38-year-old '90s androgynous icon Kirsten Owen and early-'00s Belgian face Anne Catherine Lacroix - who else will show up next?

Also making appearances at Preen - Kanye West, who was a no-show for his front row seat at United Bamboo yesterday morning, Anne Christensen's kids, who played with the clear plastic covering the runway before the show, and Sir Philip Green, who raised eyebrows yesterday at Alexander Wang and is in town for the big Topshop press conference tomorrow morning.

In addition to their stellar standby cut-out minidresses and pleated pants, Justin Thorton and Thea Bregazzi did some experimenting for Fall 2009 - a big, bold, houndstooth print appeared more than a couple of times, and there was a surprising set of candy-colored rainbow dresses toward the end. Pronounced shoulders, random patches of fur on jackets, bold metallics, and cut-out leggings emerged here in addition to other runways - those and structured, uneven hems - see Karlie Kloss's miniskirt; trends in the making? And for the showstopper: a seriously chubby pastel fur chubby, worn by Anja Rubik.

Emerald Green, Transparency, Tidy Layers At United Bamboo

Here's a glimpse at the United Bamboo Fall 2009 collection--the Falke socks and boyish platforms, geometric Deka Ray necklaces, and felt military-like caps were amazing! Also stunning were the emerald green transparent pieces--tucked away under tailored coats or frocks--which started the show.

Day Three Begins At United Bamboo

As is typical of shows at the Altman Building, and with United Bamboo in particular, things are pretty low-key this morning. Rather than keeping invitees standing in a line that wraps around the corner (like last night at Rag & Bone, Robert Geller, etc...) people are sort of aimlessly wandering in, coffees in hand. A great way to start the day if you ask us. Stay tuned for our runway gallery from the Fall 2009 United Bamboo show which we hear will include Deka Ray jewelry and Falke hosiery--very important details indeed. After that, Karen Walker, Adam Lippes, VPL, and much, much more.

Fashion In 50 Seconds 01/21/09 Barneys Spells Christian Louboutin Wrong & More

Barneys spelled Christian Louboutin's name wrong in a suspiciously downtrodden looking window display. Granted, window displays are also getting Barneys a lot of good press this morning too.

What's wrong with the menswear runways? In Italy, home of the all-black issue of Vogue, the runways are racially homogenous as usual.

The Spring 09 United Bamboo ad campaign stars artist Terrence Koh. Outlandish and alienating? Or hip?

Pioneer of the premium *boyfriend* jean, Current/Elliot is finally, actually, making menswear. The new range will drop this season.

The Spring 2009 Statement Necklace: Bauble Or Geometric

The statement necklace is here to stay and this Spring 2009 there were two distinct (but equally covetable) camps. Bauble necklaces cropped up at Burberry and Marni, they were colorful and mis-matched for the artistic Type-B chicsters. Then, there were those on the straight and narrow. Geometric necklaces cropped up at United Bamboo and VPL and they were Type-A all the way. The rule with personality types, remember, is that few people are just one type or the other. Bauble or geometric, it could just depend on the day.

Purple and orange were two colors hard to ignore on the Spring 09 catwalks--purple, we've seen for some time and orange appeared, no doubt because of Prada and a few brave designers who used it last season. Some designers, in fact, used both at the same time. In the spread above Basso & Brooke, Luella, and United Bamboo all employed this technique while designers like Christopher Kane and Modernist kept with one of the two colors, making them more interesting with texture and technique.
