The Rachel Zoe Project Season 4 Now Premiering in September

>> Originally set to debut in July, and then August, the premiere date of The Rachel Zoe Project season four just got moved once more: It's now hitting Bravo on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 10 ET/PT. The first episode is summarized, according to the release, as such: "In the season premiere, Rachel Zoe, Inc. is growing exponentially, and so is Rachel’s family. With a baby on the way, Rodger [Berman, Zoe's husband] looks for a bigger house, while Rachel sets her eyes on launching her new fashion line. After an Elle magazine photo shoot with her hubby, Rachel and Rodger jet off to a round of interviews for potential new junior stylists to replace Brad [Goreski, Zoe's former assistant]. Hoping she’ll slow down and take it easy, Rachel tries to manage it all leaving Rodger concerned for her health and well-being." A trailer for the season can be seen here.

>> Rachel Zoe has "no idea" what annual sales might be for her new eponymous collection, which hits a long list of stores in July: Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Intermix, Selfridges, Kirna Zabete, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Shopbop.com. But she says she went numb when she heard who had bought the line: “It was this dream that I never thought would be reality because I was petrified - I was. I feel so complete now becoming a designer and having my son. I’m that happiest that I’ve ever been in my life.”

Neiman Marcus, for one, is launching Zoe's sportswear, handbags, and shoes at all 41 of its doors, plus online and at Bergdorf Goodman; "The rollout across the entire Neiman Marcus Group is a rare endorsement of a fledgling brand," WWD notes. Why the decision? "She is a real talent,” Ken Downing, SVP and fashion director of Neiman Marcus, notes of Zoe. “She understands the customer and she’s brought an effortless chic to the collection. The clothes are going to appeal to women of many ages. And, she’s got an amazing name.”

Next up for Zoe? The fourth season of The Rachel Zoe Project, which will begin airing on Bravo in July; and jewelry for Fall 2012. “I wish it were for spring,” Zoe says. “I am dying to do jewelry. I’m gagging.”

Rachel Zoe Earns Up to $10,000 Per Job, According to One Client

>> Rachel Zoe was just named Hollywood's Most Powerful Stylist by The Hollywood Reporter - full list of the top 25 here - and she earns up to $10,000 per job, according to one commercial client.

But Zoe's first pregnancy is full-term, and she's slowing down, she says: “I have this visual of me and [her husband] Rodg living in this amazing house that’s not too big in the south of France, where we go for four months and just sit on the beach and make jewelry. Not to sell, just for fun and therapy. Like literally, take rocks and shells and glue them.”

That's not likely to happen, however: she's got her new Rachel Zoe Collection - “My next tier rollout with Li & Fung will definitely be jewelry,” she says. And although she's not looking to expand her client roster, which currently includes Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, and Eva Mendes, she notes: “That’s not to say I wouldn’t take on new clients, if I was really excited about someone and if it was the right fit.” And The Rachel Zoe Project is due to return in the Fall.

Rachel Zoe Previews New Signature Collection, Confirms She's Having a Boy

>> Rachel Zoe is in New York one last time (before grounding herself in Los Angeles for the birth of her baby) to preview her new Rachel Zoe collection, her first real design effort.

The collection, done in a deal with Li & Fung, will be aimed at a contemporary level ($250 for a day dress going up to $700 for a full tuxedo look), and encompasses everything from shoes (suede boots and matte croc pumps with super-high heels and platforms, riding boots, flats) to handbags, suiting galore, and Zoe's current "obsession," outerwear. “I’d imagine everybody is expecting something from me that’s kind of a Seventies, uberboho-glam kind of thing, and, you know, very accessorized," Zoe noted of the collection. "And it’s not.”

Although no retailers have been confirmed yet, Li & Fung is targeting specialty stores and better department stores; Zoe ideally sees her collection sitting alongside Diane von Furstenberg, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang.

Zoe, never one to have a single project on her plate, had a Bravo camera crew filming for season four of The Rachel Zoe Project during the preview. “I’ve been asked to slow down,” she told WWD. “But to be totally honest, it’s kind of next to impossible when you’re planning your show and launching your collection, and in the middle of award season.” However, it sounds like the upcoming RZP season won't have any Fashion Week coverage - Zoe, at seven months pregnant, is sitting out the Fall 2011 shows.

Her client Anne Hathaway is hosting the Oscars this year, though, and Zoe says she fully expects, at eight months pregnant, to be supervising every outfit change. “It all depends on his arrival,” she adds, patting her stomach. Her husband, Rodger Berman, confirms: “It’s a little boy.”

Berman tells Harper's Bazaar in the magazine's February 2011 issue: "While I don't know how things are going to change when the baby comes, I know that they will change. But I think it's entirely possible to have a career in fashion and raise a child. Stella McCartney is on her fourth child and remains both a fashion icon and a great mom. All I know is, Rachel and I will figure it out. And if she wants to take the baby to Fashion Week, I say, why not? But we'll probably need an extra hotel room for all of the baby clothes."

>> Rachel Zoe, Editor-in-Chief? -The new season of The Rachel Zoe Project premieres next Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 10 pm on Bravo, and while Zoe was promoting it yesterday, she was questioned about any aspirations as an editor. Her response? “To be honest, I never say never. I think being an editor in chief of a magazine is a huge, huge job. In order to do that, all the other parts of my job would have to be pushed aside,” she said. “I can’t imagine doing that in the near future. If I did do that, it would be a hybrid of a few magazines like W, Bazaar, Elle, Vogue, Love, V, Visionaire. I think it would incorporate a lot of art and high fashion and interviews with interesting people. It would definitely be oversized! With beautiful images and great photography. Rachel Zoe Finally Speaks About Her Former Assistant Taylor Jacobson Leaving

>> A number of rumors have plagued Rachel Zoe since her former first assistant and co-star on The Rachel Zoe Project Taylor Jacobson left last November. There was talk that Zoe tried to blacklist Jacobson from working with major fashion houses on her own styling projects, and then Page Six reported that Jacobson was fired after clothes went missing from Zoe's fashion closet.

Zoe finally commented on the latter when WWD recently asked her whether the rumor was real: "That was so real that I cannot even tell you how real that actually was. It was like, I hired Brad [Goreski, Zoe's other assistant], this little angel, and then Taylor just went in for the kill. And I, like, did not see that coming. I always knew what she was capable of, but who knew that was going to happen with the camera?"

When asked if she was still in touch with Jacobson, Zoe replied: "The answer to that would be: I would love to tell you but I would have to kill you. You'll see it on season three [of The Rachel Zoe Project, premiering Aug. 3 on Bravo]." Needless to say, any strain between the two has not healed: when Jacobson's consulting job with denim line Kasil was mentioned, Zoe said, "Ugh. Oh yeah. [A line] that I've never heard of. I don't care what she does. How's that? How's that for an answer?" And in the teaser trailer for The Rachel Zoe Project, season 3, below, Goreski mentions to Zoe that he heard Jacobson was styling someone for the Golden Globes, and Zoe replies, "The last thing I want to hear is something good about Taylor."

Did Rachel Zoe Try to Blacklist Former Styling Assistant Taylor Jacobson From Working With Major Fashion Houses?

>> Rachel Zoe and styling associate Taylor Jacobson parted ways back in November, but the situation hasn't quite been laid to rest. Fashion Week Daily writes that Zoe "began masterminding the blacklist campaign against her former assistant" after Jacobson gave notice, citing a "well-placed source" who divulged:

[Rachel] basically wasn’t happy about Taylor leaving on her own terms and felt like she should have fired Taylor herself. There were a lot of emails and calls that were placed to big houses with the intent of keeping Taylor away, which is ironic because Taylor did about 85 percent of the work in the company.

Zoe reportedly also tried to blacklist Taylor from her usual hair salon. Perhaps this is all fodder for the third season of The Rachel Zoe Project, which is supposed to cover Taylor's departure from the firm?
