Karlie Kloss Skips New York Fashion Week, Brad Goreski Spills All in His New Book, and Kanye West's Latest Fashion Project

Brad Goreski's new biography, Born to Be Brad, hits bookstores March 6 - and it's reportedly full of some surprisingly sordid details, including cocaine and alcohol abuse. "I was in our bathroom, staring in the mirror, and I didn't recognize myself," Goreski writes. [Stylecaster]

Speaking of March 6, that's the day Kanye West will be taking his second stab at Paris Fashion Week. Now, rumors are swirling that he may also be planning a line for Topshop. However, Topshop's CEO Sir Phillip Green, who was spotted having lunch with West in London, denies that a collaboration is in the works. [Fashionista]

Looks like Karlie Kloss is skipping New York Fashion Week; The Daily Beast's Isabel Wilkinson confirmed the news today via Twitter. "Karlie Kloss won't walk in New York Fashion Week this season because of an 'engagement that has come up,' says her spokesperson," Wilkinson said. [Styleite]

James Franco has directed and shot the latest 7 For All Mankind campaign, featuring Lily Donaldson, Henry Hopper, and Amber Anderson. The campaign - which the brand describes as an "innovative multimedia experience that embodies the brand's California roots and 'forever cool' aesthetic" - launches on a dedicated You Tube channel Feb. 15. Despite a very successful design career, Stella McCartney doesn't think of herself as famous. "I don't think many people recognize me," the designer recently said. "I guess, I grew up with one of the most famous people in the world, so for me, I don't really see it." McCartney goes on to say that she still gets excited when seeing her designs on strangers in public: "I'm embarrassing when I see someone in the street with one of my bags, I'm like 'nice bag'. CFDA Fashion Fund winner Joseph Altuzarra has quite a sweet tooth. The designer - who shows his Fall 2012 collection this Saturday - recently divulged the 12 things he can't live without. Among the goodies on the list? Billy's Bakery carrot cake. "It's my all-time favorite. Nothing beats eating a slice in bed while watching TV." [Elle Decor]

"Pre-Fall has a wider starting point, so it’s about giving a voice to the different facets of a woman," McCartney said. "It’s less about referencing something specific and more . . . psychological." Sarah Burton Takes Home the Big Prize at the 2011 British Fashion Awards

>> This evening at London's Savoy Theatre, a who's who of British fashion gathered for The British Fashion Council's annual awards. Victoria Beckham, accepting her Designer Brand of the Year award from presenter Marc Jacobs, told the crowd, "I am SO nervous," before shedding a few tears and adding: "This is rubbish." Alexa Chung, who took home the British Style award - which is decided by a public vote - dedicated her award to "girls who dress like awkward boys." Kate Hudson, presenting Red Carpet Award to Stella McCartney, regaled the audience with an anecdote about the dress McCartney designed for her to wear to her first Oscars: "I wore Stella and made every worst-dressed list. The next day, I called Stella, and she said, 'Face it babe, it was the hair.'" And finally, Sarah Burton, who took home Designer of the Year, called the award "the icing on the cake for what has been an amazing year."

Stella McCartney, McQ Both to Show at London Fashion Week

>> While Stella McCartney is continuing to show her collection in Paris for Fall 2012, she's also planning on unveiling a one-off capsule collection with a presentation during the upcoming London Fashion Week in February. McCartney, who is the creative director for Adidas Team GB (and therefore created the uniforms for Britain's Olympic athletes), has designed the collection - which will be available in May - as a nod to the 2012 London Olympic games.

McQ is also joining McCartney on the London Fashion Week schedule in February, where its Fall 2012 collection will be presented with a catwalk show, as a preview to its first stand-alone store opening in London's Mayfair next Spring.

Stella McCartney Dresses, Feeds Wedding Party For Her Father's Marriage to Nancy Shevell

>> Less than a week after her Spring 2012 show, and a few days after her second 40th birthday celebration, Stella McCartney dressed the wedding party for her father's wedding to Nancy Shevell over the weekend.

McCartney put Shevell in a “simple and understated, off-white dress to the knee,” according to the designer's spokesman, with covered buttons at the bodice and cuffs, while she dressed her father in a bespoke navy suit. Her children, nieces, and nephews all wore Stella McCartney Kids for the occasion.

The couple married at Marylebone Register Office yesterday and held a reception at their St. John's Wood home for about 30 guests, including Kate Moss, Sam Taylor-Wood, Josephine de la Baume, and Mark Ronson. Stella also helped concoct the three-course vegetarian feast the guests were served.
