>> Spring 2009 campaigns may be overrun with supermodels, but two younger, less-established models are giving them a run for their campaign money: Toni Garrn and Anna Maria Jagodzinska.

17-year-old German model Toni - who Art + Commerce called the "undisputed First Lady of Advertising Campaigns" for the season - broke onto the scene with a worldwide runway exclusive to Calvin Klein in September 2007, followed by an only-girl campaign for the brand; 21-year-old Polish model Anna Maria is a Steven Meisel favorite who has been around since 2003, took a break from modeling for two years in 2006, only came back with a smash in 2008. Between the two of them they have at least twenty Spring 2009 ad campaigns, including Balenciaga, Fendi, Gianfranco Ferre, and joint campaigns for Prada and Chloe. Their ad currency is strong, and it's worth noting that so many brands still think blondes are where the money is.

Confirmed: Brian Atwood Leaving Bally; Current Brand Owners Repositioning Label, Looking for More Fashion Investments

>> Those rumors last September of Brian Atwood stepping down from Bally have proven to be correct: the designer just presented his last collection for the label for Fall 2010 and is moving on to focus on his own label.

Atwood was hired in 2007 to revamp and revitalize the Swiss brand's image - but in April 2008, Bally was sold to Labelux Group, which has also recently purchased stakes in Derek Lam, Solange Azagury-Partride, and Zagliani, and it sounds like Atwood was asked to leave. It's rumored Labelux wants the brand more focused on its Swiss heritage, as exemplified by the Spring 2010 Bally ad campaign, featuring Christy Turlington against a background of Alps.

His first ever campaign, with Karmen Pedaru set against a beach simulated at Pier 59 in New York, symbolizes his philosophy that "this is not a moment to be scared or meek." Solve Sundbo did the photog honors Tuesday - outtake from the shoot above - and the final product, which hits August issues, is expected to be "bold and cinematic, with lush techno color." [WWD]

In the past, the label's campaigns have been much more forward-thinking - Natasha Poly rocking out in sea spray for Fall 2008, Karlie Kloss and Courtney Smerski going abstract for Spring 2008 - but judging about this first image, Spring 2009 is all about that newly-expanded accessories collection. How else are we supposed to interpret Lachlan Bailey's studio shots of Natalia Vodianova, N and R charms plainly in view?

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL -A number of designers are sticking to what works for the Fall 2009 ad campaigns, and Donatella Versace is taking it to the extreme - a new preview of Versace's upcoming ads (left), features Gisele Bundchen looking almost exactly the same as she does in a shot from the brand's Spring 2008 campaign (right). Marc Jacobs, too, is sticking with a formula at Louis Vuitton, pairing Madonna and Steven Meisel for the second season, but for his own label, it sounds like he's forgoing a celebrity face in favor of multiple models. Juerger Teller Loves Wearing Short Satin Shorts Thanks to a Marc Jacobs Campaign

>> Juergen Teller wore an oversized white T-shirt and super-short blue satin shorts edged with white piping for a recent interview with the Independent - a practice he apparently picked up on the set of the Spring 2004 Marc Jacobs campaign shoot he did with Charlotte Rampling: "I got to Paris, and to my complete horror I couldn't fit into any of the clothes. I was too fat." Juergen had chosen to shot himself for Jacobs's menswear that season, but the only piece he could fit into was a pair of silver satin shorts. The decision was made, and supposedly, he's worn the style religiously since.
