>> There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Kate Moss's involvement with Sir Philip Green and Simon Cowell's new entertainment venture — the first batch of which Moss's agency Storm and Green wouldn't comment on, but an industry source close to Cowell and Green denied.

Last week, the Mirror reported that Kate has signed up to be on Cowell's new battle-of-the-bands-type TV show which gives a unsigned group a chance at fame; the show is supposedly going to be launched in the US with a British spinoff later. Now, People has picked up on the story — which is still unconfirmed — and says that Kate may be either a judge on the show or perhaps a host in the style of Ryan Seacrest.

The deal in the works — which is estimated to be worth $80 million — would allow Kate to be involved in developing and merchandising the program; she could also appear on Cowell's other shows like American Idol and Britain's Got Talent.

>> Kate Moss's Media Moguldom Might Not Be Happening, After All —Earlier this week, the Daily Mail ran a story from unnamed sources claiming that Kate Moss is joining Sir Philip Green and Simon Cowell in their forthcoming entertainment venture. Industry sources in London, however, are not so convinced.  Though Moss's modeling agency Storm wouldn't comment, a source close to Kate said the story is just not true.  A spokeswoman for Green also declined comment, but an industry source close to both Green and Cowell denied the claims and dismissed the tabloids as "making mischief." >> Topshop's Sir Philip Green and American Idol's Simon Cowell recently teamed up to form a global entertainment company focusing on original television shows with accompanying merchandise — Disney has been cited as their model. The company is supposed to be officially launched in the next few weeks, and already reports are surfacing that Kate Moss — who is close friends with Green and was spotted celebrating the new venture with Green and Cowell two weeks ago — has signed a multi-million-pound deal to direct the image and style of the brand. 

As her "friends" told the Daily Mail of the opportunity: "Philip knows Kate has been looking for a way out of modelling for the past five years. She is bored silly with her own career and has vastly increased his Topshop sales and image. He promised her that she would be a big share holder and partner when the deal was ready to roll."

But back to the book: it aims to be a no-holds-barred account of her life, complete with anecdotes about her celebrity friends, and may even include details on her alleged drug abuse and breakup with Pete Doherty.  "It's going to make an exciting read," Branson promised.  There is no release date yet.  Apparently the book deal — which is said to be worth £1 million (approx $1.5 million) — has been in place for several years, but was delayed in 2006 after Moss's cocaine scandal.  Branson is a business partner in Moss's home agency, Storm Models, and has known her since she was 15.
