Rachel Roy is launching a high-end line of shoes. Roy worked with Manolo Blahnik - a long-time friend and mentor - to create the 30-piece collection, which will feature everything from flats to boots, and will be priced from $195 to $600. The collection hits stores in August. [Lucky]

Jessica Stam Is "Definitely" Looking Into Designing Her Own Line

>> Jessica Stam has flirted with designing a couple of times - most recently doing four pieces for Rachel Roy's lower-priced collection, RACHEL Rachel Roy - but she was coy when asked about whether she's going to do a line of her own. After sitting front row at Rag & Bone today, Stam joined Roy for a Fashion's Night Out appearance at Macy's Herald Square, where she said that she doesn't expect to be in any other front rows, "but [I'm] planning on walking in a few shows. I normally will do more shows in Europe, though." As far as specifics - which shows, and whether she'll be in London as well as Milan and Paris: "It's all up in the air. TBD." So while she played coy on runway confirmations, Stam was more open about her designing ambitions this time around:

Is the collaboration with Rachel a one-time thing?

I'm not sure. We haven't really discussed, but I'm definitely interested in designing more. I'm not really sure where it's going to go from here. This [her capsule collection with Rachel Roy] is the most independent thing I've designed so far, I took it from sketching and pulling tears from magazines to see what direction I wanted to go. It was very exciting, [I was] completely hands-on. Now to see the product, that you can actually wear them and hold them . . . this handbag [from the collection] is like my baby, it's amazing.

So are you looking to go out on your own as a designer?

Yeah, definitely, I really want to.

Erin Fetherston, Linda Fargo, and More Do Drag for Paper's September 2010 Issue

>> Erin Fetherston's name is typically associated with super feminine designs, but on the set of Paper's recent shoot, which captured women like Fetherston (below), Bergdorf Goodman SVP Linda Fargo, and Rachel Roy in menswear and mustaches, she admitted: "I've started to wear pants a lot, having been a dress-only girl for so many years. It's interesting to have a balance." Jenny Shimizu, who also took part, told Paper she's working on something new as well: a book of her life experiences, particularly "carousing around" in the '90s supermodel scene.

Jessica Stam Debuts Her Rachel Roy Collaboration, Is Considering Own Line?

Just like Wasson first got exposure to the design process while working with Alexander Wang (and has since launched LowLuv and her short-lived RVCA collaboration), Stam has been dipping her toes into design, creating a pair of Repetto oxfords for the brand's 60th anniversary in 2008 and then consulting with Marcus Wainwright and David Neville on their Spring 2010 Rag & Bone collection.

Her latest endeavor - four pieces for Rachel Roy's lower-priced line, RACHEL Rachel Roy - launches this month at Macy's. "I had full creative control," Stam told Marie Claire of her designs, which include a boxy checked sweater, a pair of jeans with buttons at the ankles, a quilted bag, and a belt. "But Rachel really stressed that whatever I made should be something I'd want to see my friends in." As for whether she might design her own collection in the future, Stam remained coy: "No comment."
