Behind the Scenes at Gisele's Fall 2012 Campaign Shoot For David Yurman

One of Gisele Bundchen's first activities as the face of David Yurman was to hang out on a beach in Malibu while Peter Lindbergh photographed her wearing Yurman's creations.

The resulting images will be used for the brand's Fall 2012 campaign, which draws on the inviting simplicity of California beaches for inspiration. Watch Bundchen pose on the beach in the video below, then take a sneak peek at the ads in the gallery.

Soon after, Coach confirmed that Paltrow was set to serve as brand ambassador for an international campaign to mark Coach's 70th anniversary this Fall and next Spring. Krakoff called Paltrow “a natural choice . . . She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand.”

Peter Lindbergh shot Paltrow on the top of the Tudor City skyscrapers in Manhattan for ads that will only be used in Asian and European markets - and now we have a first look at the campaign.

The latest case is new Anna Wintour favorite, 22-year-old Arizona Muse, who is joined in her 14 page only-girl spread, shot by Peter Lindbergh for Vogue's February 2011 issue, by her 19-month-old son, Nikko. Garance Dore Captures Behind The Scenes of David Yurman's Fall 2010 Campaign Featuring Kate Moss

>> David Yurman invited Garance Dore to St. Barths back in May to capture behind the scenes images of the brand's Fall 2010 campaign shoot. In doing so, the recent Paris transplant achieved one of her life dreams: taking part in a photo shoot with Peter Lindbergh, who's been photographing ads for Yurman for the past ten years.

"Lindbergh’s shoots were like I always dreamt they would be, the big black screen in the middle of the beach, steamy jazz playing in the background, sublime and natural girls, the make-up a bit undone by the salted sea spray, sand in their hair, light right in their eyes," wrote Dore. "I didn’t ask him [Lindbergh] any questions. My happiness was simply in observing. Sometimes he’d come up to me, tell me a few stories, ask me some questions, try to understand what was this weird thing I do: this blog thing, it really interested him." See the Model-Packed Fashion's Night Out PSA

>> Last year's Fashion's Night Out public service announcement featured designers and models, but this year's features the latter exclusively: 14 models, (including Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini, Doutzen Kroes, Liya Kebede, Karolina Kurkova, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Stella Tennant, Lily Donaldson, Sasha Pivovarova, and Jourdan Dunn) filmed by Peter Lindbergh for two days all around New York City.

“This year, it was really about fashion hitting the streets,” Trey Laird, who developed the segment, told WWD. “It was important that all of New York City was represented.” Thus, filming locations included PS 1 in Long Island City, the Bronx Zoo, Central Park, and Lincoln Center. Tabitha Simmons styled the shoot (behind the scenes images here), and the resulting 30-, 15-, and 10-second spots launch on television, in taxi cabs, and online today. From Sept. 3 to 10, they will be shown nine times an hour on the Toshiba screen in Times Square.

Peter Lindbergh photographs his first editorial for U.S. Vogue in 18 years. The July spread features Natalia Vodianova and Ewan Macgregor.

Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum announced that Rodarte has won the 2010 National Design Award for fashion.

For the first time since opening in 1941, New York bridal institution, Kleinfeld, is selling custom-made tuxedos and suits for the groom.

Nancy Gonzalez will debut her first collection of men's crocodile-covered bags for the holiday season.

An auction for Gianfranco Ferré was launched this week. The Italian fashion house filed for bankruptcy in February 2009.

>> After an 18-year hiatus from the pages of Vogue, Peter Lindbergh is back with a 14-page editorial in the magazine's July 2010 issue, featuring Natalia Vodianova and Ewan Macgregor. Grace Coddington, who along with Anna Wintour asked the photographer to come back, did styling honors. Lindbergh doesn't have a contract with the magazine, however, so it's unclear how often his work will grace Vogue's pages.

>> No Contract for Peter Lindbergh at Vogue -At the end of last week, it was announced that after 18 years at Harper's Bazaar, Peter Lindbergh would be returning to work for Vogue at Grace Coddington and Anna Wintour's request. Apparently, it was Lindbergh's decision not to renew his contract with Bazaar, but he doesn't have a contract at Vogue, and a Vogue spokesman couldn't say when his work might appear in the magazine. Peter Lindbergh Is Returning to the Fold at Vogue

>> Peter Lindbergh, who moved from working with Vogue to Harper's Bazaar in 1992 when Liz Tilberis lured him away - “I switched to Bazaar and stayed away for all these years" - is ending his 18 year hiatus from Vogue. Part of the reason he left originally, he said, was because Alexander Lieberman and Grace Mirabella weren't fans of his images of supermodels splayed on the beach: “They told me we can’t handle the women you’re photographing."

He plans to begin work again with Vogue, as well as other Conde Nast publications in the US, after a recent tete-a-tete with Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington. “They asked,” he told WWD. “It was like you are the black sheep in the family, and your older brother asks you to come home.”

Other March 2010 cover curveballs abound: Harper's Bazaar went with Kate Moss by Peter Lindbergh - her first cover for the magazine since 2002 - and Glamour has hired Ellen von Unwerth for the first time ever to shoot Victoria Beckham. As for W (Megan Fox), Elle (Keira Knightley), and Teen Vogue (Mia Wasikoswka of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland), they're sticking to their usual bread and butter. [WWD]
