Heidi Klum is the star of a music video made for Hunger magazine, in which she sings a song called "Turn Up the Night." [Stylelist]
Pucci's Peter Dundas spilled his daily routine in a recent interview. Among the tidbits divulged? He generally flies to his office in Florence from his apartment in Paris. "It's an hour-and-a-half flight," he said. "Really, I am in an airplane four or five times a week." [Harper's Bazaar]
At the launch party for his book Advanced Style - which, like the blog, is dedicated to fashionable older folks such as Iris Apfel and model Mimi Weddell - Ari Seth Cohen screened a trailer for the documentary he's working on featuring the same subjects. Anna Dello Russo on Vintage Clothing and Practical Handbags

As large and well documented as her fashion collection is, Anna Dello Russo says she's "not a fan" of vintage clothing. The Vogue Japan editor talked about this distaste in a recent Financial Times Q&A with Emilio Pucci's Peter Dundas.

"I like to consider myself the guardian of fashion. When I moved house 10 years ago, I had 4,000 pairs of shoes. I had to buy a bigger home to store all the clothes because I need closets, not kitchens, and many are now in my house in Bari [in the southern Puglia region]. I'm super tidy so every item is catalogued, stored in garment bags with tissue paper, perfumed, and on hangers that are all the same. But I'm not a vintage fan - I don't like the smell of old clothes."

Dello Russo applies similar standards when it comes to accessories and loungewear. "I'm also not a fan of bags, because anything that is practical isn't handsome; if anything I like clutches. Pajamas and tracksuits are sloppy so I only wear Abercrombie & Fitch tracksuits to go to my yoga class. If you dress comfortably, you don't get the look," she says.

>> 2011 is feeling like the year of the wedding, and model weddings are no exception - between Kate Moss and Jamie Hince's impending nuptials in July, Anja Rubik and Sasha Knezevic's upcoming Summer wedding, and Natasha Poly's ceremony this past weekend.

The 25-year-old Poly married businessman Peter Bakker at Saint Tropez's Hotel Byblos as part of a three-day celebration, wearing a traditional white Givenchy gown. About 200 guests attended, including Carine Roitfeld and Peter Dundas, and Leona Lewis sang at the reception.

W Reporter Recounts a Tale of Carine Roitfeld Being Snippy, Talks Sex with Peter Dundas

>> Emilio Pucci's Peter Dundas dressed both Carine Roitfeld and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld for Julia's intimate 30th birthday party, held at Indochine back in November. He also dressed a W reporter, who he then brought along to the fete. That reporter writes of the experience in W's February 2011 issue: "The music is deafening; the cigarette smoke is blinding; champagne is flowing copiously; canapes are being shunned. The dancing falls into two camps: conga line (Carine) versus on the banquette (Julia)." And later: "When I explain to the hostess [Carine] that I am writing a profile of Dundas and that I’d be grateful for a quote about the dress she’s wearing, she glares at me, then answers extremely slowly, with the labored patience of a teacher addressing an obtuse child: 'Peter made. This dress. For me. It is Pucci. PUCCI.'"

Dundas, for his part, enlightened the reporter on how he keeps his tan: “I’m building this house in Greece, and there’s a fantastic hippie beach where they go nude nearby.…” His thoughts on sex: “The truth is, it’s something that’s incredibly important to me. I think it should be important to everybody. I mean, it’s fantastic. It’s why we’re here.” And how he ends up making such sexy dresses for Pucci: “It’s not that I think, Oh, I need to make the dress sexy. It’s that the body is just so beautiful to me. The same way that when you make love to somebody many times, you notice different parts of the body, and you celebrate them.”

2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Winners Billy Reid, Prabal Gurung, and Eddie Borgo Come Home with Newly-Increased Cash Prizes

>> Last night, the 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners were announced, but before they could be named during the dinner gala at New York's Skylight Studios, the results were leaked on WWD's Twitter: Billy Reid won outright, and Prabal Gurung and Eddie Borgo were both named runners-up.

Style.com's Nicole Phelps wrote that the results were a bit of a surprise: "Many in the audience had pegged Gurung and Joseph Altuzarra as the front-runners." But nevermind: the prizes were even bigger this year, with Reid granted $300,000 (up from $200,000), and Borgo and Gurung each taking $100,000 (up from $50,000). "The main prize is the mentoring we provide," CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg noted of the increase, "but a little cash never hurts."

The rest of this year's finalists - Christian Cota, Robert Geller, Oliver Helden and Paul Marlow of Loden Dager, Pamela Love of Pamela Love Jewelry, Moss Lipow and Gregory Parkinson - were treated to a keynote speech by Karl Lagerfeld, who talked about how much fun Yves Saint Laurent was "before Pierre Berge" and advised: "Young goes. But good? If you're good, it may all last."

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld Rings in 30th Birthday by Shutting Down Indochine in a Custom Pucci Dress

>> Julia Restoin-Roitfeld celebrated her 30th birthday on Friday night by taking over Indochine restaurant in Manhattan. Riccardo Tisci flew in just for the night, and Peter Dundas custom designed Restoin-Roitfeld's dress. "He was the first one I asked, and he said yes right away," she told Style.com. "I said, 'I want red and I want lace, and I want it very short - the rest, do whatever you want.'" The party may be over, but the celebrations haven't stopped - Roitfeld added: "My boyfriend [Robert Konjic] is taking me away on Monday; I don't even know where." Emilio Pucci's Peter Dundas Addresses the Possibility of His Own Line

>> “It’s hot in here,” Peter Dundas said at the French Vogue party last week. “Let’s have a nude beach party theme next time.” A funny comment, considering that Dundas tells Pharrell Wiliams in Interview's October 2010 issue, "When I started at Ungaro, I was completely petrified . . . I was this Norwegian who people thought looked like a beach bum. I guess I am a beach bum, but they thought I looked a lot more like that than a designer. I was very worried about those kinds of reactions . . . I’m not intellectual at all as a designer. Whatever I’m into at the moment is usually what becomes the collection."

He's happy designing at Pucci, though: "People always ask me, 'Oh, do you ever want to start your own thing?' And I don’t, actually. I think what I enjoy most is the sort of coproduction of things, where you bring something and somebody else brings something and a kind of alchemy happens. For me, coming to a house and bringing my love and respect to it-and, hopefully, earning the love and respect of the house-is the only way to do it. I think of it as my own house in that sense as well. So I like not working from a blank piece of paper. I like that there’s something from the past, some kind of identity that I have to work with. There are these good ghosts around, these good energies that kind of reinforce what you do. It’s like how your parents raise you and give you this base, and you eventually grow up and have to say, 'Well, you gave me this, but now I need to go my own way.' So, more than finding a balance, it’s about taking the good parts of what you’ve been given and bringing your own thing to it in order to take it all somewhere else - and hopefully, forward."

Sheer Gowns and Masks Aplenty at Vogue Paris's 90th Anniversary Ball

>> Carine Roitfeld's masquerade ball last night, celebrating 90 years of Vogue Paris and loosely Eyes Wide Shut-themed, meant lots of sheer gowns, and lots of show attendees preoccupied with finding a mask yesterday. Anna Dello Russo, inspired by Lady Gaga, paired a Gareth Pugh headpiece with her custom Emilio Pucci gown. Jean Paul Gaultier designed a metal mask for himself adorned with long feathers: "Yes, they're giant eyelashes, acting like hair -- since I'm missing some as you can see - so instead I've gone for this black plume."

Tyra Banks made do with cut up fishnets, Sasha Pivovarova got her mask "from a sex shop," and Lily Donaldson wore a red tulle veil to match her Christian Dior gown: “I made it myself. I went all the way up to the fabric district in Montmartre today.” Stephen Jones made Karlie Kloss's star spangled mask to go with her Christian Dior gown, and Riccardo Tisci did Mariacarla Boscono's over the top feathered hat, while he looked to Philip Treacy to custom make his mask.

While there was plenty of mask ogling, Carine Roitfeld was more preoccupied with other thoughts. “Oh my goodness, even the models are eating, it’s amazing!” she laughed, as Lily Donaldson took a leaf from a chocolate cabbage.
