Irina Lazareanu's Album Is Maybe, Finally, Going to Drop

>> Irina Lazareanu has been working with Sean Lennon on her album, Some Place Along the Way, since 2006, but it looks like 2008 is the year we'll finally get to have a listen to the final product.

Tuesday night, the musician-cum-model said the album, which is produced by Patti Smith and features some songs by Irina's close friend/maybe boyfriend Pete Doherty, is due out in September: "All we need to do is get Sean [Lennon] and Patti in the same town and make sure Pete's not in prison and we can get rolling."

As for potential stagewear, Balenciaga is her staple, "but I find brands like Ann Demeulemeester and Martin Margiela also look fabulous on stage."

The latest features Irina and Pete acting out a short murder mystery, with Irina as the assailant and Pete as the victim. I think my favorite part is the fact that Irina still has a tag visibly hanging out of her pants.

The Lemonheads' album, on which Kate's "Dirty Robot" track features, doesn't drop until June 23, but the electronic track just hit the web, so click above to hear Kate utter lyrics like: "No, I don't care for your metal looks / I don't care for your bleeps and bloops / Go away, why don't you just shut up?"

The Sun reports today that Kate Moss has rekindled her relationship with Pete Doherty after he set fire to his bed last weekend in a bid to show her how much he loves her. "It's been a tough few weeks for Pete," said a friend. "He split with Kate, sacked his manager and got arrested for fighting a reporter. Things came to a head at the weekend. He was so frustrated he smashed up a guitar and set fire to his bed. Kate got to hear about it and let him come and stay. She still thinks she can sort out Pete and all his problems."

Really, Kate. I love you -- you're beautiful and a superhuman dresser, but do you have to be swayed by a man who proclaims his love by...setting his bed on fire? I know it's romantic, but ya gotta try and resist these things every once and a while. I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in your judgement right now.

In other news:

Jessica Simpson, who wears only the skimpiest of denim garments in The Dukes of Hazzard, has rolled out a retail line of jeans for plus-size women.
The $59 slacks, available at Avenue stores, fit sizes 12-24, reports USA Today.
"We have people 300 lbs. or 90 lbs. come up to Jessica and say, 'I'm just like you,'" Jessica's father and manager, Joe Simpson, tells the paper, adding: "It's not about the outside. It's what's inside."

Now this concerns me for a couple of reasons. First, why do we keep allowing a girl who coordinates hoodies, baggy cutoff shorts and platform heels to roll out the clothing lines? Second, why is it that people want to be "just like" her? I for one have enough time coping with one of them, but now there's clones? Jesus. And finally, who knew Joe Simpson could whip out such profound wisdom? I've never heard anything like it before.

Kate Moss To Pen Autobiography for Sir Richard Branson

>> Yesterday's rumors have become today's truths: Sir Richard Branson has confirmed that Kate Moss is writing an autobiography to be published by Virgin Books, cementing the fact that she now has not one but British business heavyweights to pull for her - will Branson and Sir Philip Green go at odds for her time? It was already circulated yesterday that Green was willing to pay up to ensure Kate's hostess gig at the Costume Institute Gala, and theirs is not just a business relationship: Kate vacationed just last weekend in Monaco with Green's family.

But back to the book: it aims to be a no-holds-barred account of her life, complete with anecdotes about her celebrity friends, and may even include details on her alleged drug abuse and breakup with Pete Doherty. "It's going to make an exciting read," Branson promised. There is no release date yet. Apparently the book deal - which is said to be worth £1 million (approx $1.5 million) - has been in place for several years, but was delayed in 2006 after Moss's cocaine scandal. Branson is a business partner in Moss's home agency, Storm Models, and has known her since she was 15.
