Muse Like Jagger: Georgia May's Style Evolution

She may be Madonna's latest Material Girl, but Georgia May Jagger has always been one of the coolest girls around. With model-mom Jerry Hall's stunning bone structure and dad Mick's iconic gap-toothed pout - not to mention both parents' rock 'n' roll vibe - the 5'7" progeny-turned-muse has already been featured in scores of magazines, from American Vogue to i-D. She's also been photographed by the likes of Mario Sorrenti and Hedi Slimane, fronted major campaigns for Chanel and Versace, and has long-standing contracts with Hudson Jeans and Rimmel London.

"To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing," Jagger said of her latest endeavor, the back-to-school campaign for junior line Material Girl, which bows this Summer. "My agent received a call from the Material Girl team saying Lola and Madonna wanted to work together with me. From talking with Lola, she and her mum liked my style and thought it would be a good fit," Jagger elaborated. "I've always admired Madonna's style and I'm thrilled to be working with her and Lola. I dressed up like her for a school dance once!"

Lights, Camera, Action: i-D Magazine's Summer 2012 Covers

A pregnant Julia Restoin Roitfeld and a winking, smiling Agyness Deyn are among the cultural icons on the eight covers of i-D's Summer issue.

The "Lights, Camera, Action!"-themed issue, which hit newsstands today, features a treasure trove of stories about all of its cover subjects, including Dior artistic director Raf Simons and model Arizona Muse. The attention-getting covers also include Felicity Hayward, Andrej Pejic and Dree Hemingway, Léa Seydoux, and actor Andrew Garfield - who will star in this Summer's Spider-Man reboot. More Details About Who's Wearing What to the Met Gala (Updated!)

Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, and Arizona Muse, among others, have revealed what they'll be wearing to Monday night's Met Gala.

Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing told Style.com that he'll be taking model Joan Smalls as his date. Anthony Vaccarello has confirmed he'll be accompanied by Anja Rubik. Jason Wu will attend with Karlie Kloss, and Haider Ackermann will walk the red carpet with Constance Jablonski.

The site has also confirmed another spate of pairings: Roland Mouret is taking Doutzen Kroes; Rachel Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman, will attend with Karolina Kurkova; Erdem Moralioglu will dress Arizona Muse; and Thakoon Panichgul is taking actress Christina Ricci.

It has also recently been revealed that Heidi Klum will wear a "very very lacy and very very see-through" one-of-a-kind dress by Escada. Chanel's official attendee will be French actor Gaspard Ulliel, face of the brand's Bleu de Chanel fragrance.

Previously confirmed pairings include Alexander Wang and rapper Azealia Banks, who tweeted that she would perform at the Met Gala last week; Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez with Australian actress Isabel Lucas; and Joseph Altuzarra with Lana Del Rey. Coco Rocha will attend with her husband, James Conran, wearing a vintage dress by Givenchy.

The Met Gala will be live streamed for the first time from 6:30-8:30 p.m. EDT on May 7.

Update: Everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker to Giovanna Battaglia has decided what they're wearing tonight. Below, a list of everything we know so far:

Kristen Stewart will wear Balenciaga and attend the Gala with Nicola Ghesquiere.

Brooklyn Decker, Liya Kebede, Rashida Jones, and Tory Burch will all wear gowns of Burch's design.
Kristen Bell and Dee Hilfiger will both wear Tommy Hilfiger.
Dree Hemingway will wear Topshop.
Farida Khelfa will wear vintage Schiaparelli.
Emma Stone will wear Lanvin.
Stella Tennant, Poppy Delvigne, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, and Sigrid Agren will wear Chanel.
Claire Danes will attend the gala with her husband Hugh Dancy and Gilles Mendel. She'll wear J. Mendel, and so will Aerin Lauder and actress Christine Taylor. Taylor will attend with her husband Ben Stiller.
Burberry will be dressing Cara Delvigne, Jourdan Dunn, Gabriella Wilde, Vanessa Kirby, Douglas Booth, Mario Testino, Casey Affleck, and Roo Panes.
Prabal Gurung is dressing Greta Gerwig.

"American Idols" Pose For New Issue of V Magazine

>> In its upcoming Americana-themed issue, V Magazine has dedicated an entire editorial to homegrown beauties like Karlie Kloss, Christie Brinkley, and Arizona Muse.

Called "American Idols," the collection of photos features some of the USA's biggest supermodels wearing pre-Fall clothing by some of its greatest designers. Brinkley dons a jacket and pants from Ralph Lauren while Dree Hemingway wears an Alexander Wang bodysuit on the opposite page. Carol Alt smolders in Michael Kors, and Elaine Irwin stands next to her in Donna Karan. But perhaps it's not how the models look as much as what they say about America that makes the spread so special.

"I've done it all," Brinkley says. "Worked at 31 Flavors, walked runways, been a rodeo queen, Broadway. Only in America!"

Arizona Muse on Getting Her Body Back After Having a Child

>> Arizona Muse says having son Nikko three years ago didn't disrupt her modeling career - in fact, she credits motherhood with turning her body into the unstoppable force that it is today.

"I remember during my first season feeling really well received as a model and a mother," she recently told The Daily Telegraph. "When people asked me things, they asked about being a mother; they weren't asking me about walking down a catwalk. They were real-life things. It was nice."

Since then, Muse's career has skyrocketed. She's appeared in campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton and has walked runways for everyone from Dior to Prada. Muse said that having Nikko (who has already modeled in a J.Crew catalog) is a big part of her success. The model learned she was pregnant while working in New York, and - thinking her career was over - moved to Los Angeles to give birth to and raise Nikko. Later, she decided to move back to New York, where she says she was able to get bookings again fairly easily.

Time Names 100 Greatest Fashion Icons

>> Time magazine today released its list of the 100 greatest fashion icons, a collection of designers, brands, models, muses, photographers, editors, and stylists meant to be the definitive guide to the "visionaries that changed how we think about what we wear, and how we wear it."

The list includes all of the expected players - Coco Chanel is there, as are Yves Saint Laurent, Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, and Steven Meisel - but there are also a few people most wouldn't think of for a list like this. Sarah Blakely, inventor of Spanx, is included because she "has helped shape the modern woman - literally." Jacques Heim and Louis Réard, the men who simultaneously invented what eventually became the bikini are also on the list.

Time only mentions style influencers who made an impact after 1923 - the beginning of Time magazine - which means the list reaches back to people like '20s icon Zelda Fitzgerald and Chanel rival Elsa Schiaparelli. The list doesn't include any notable retailers (Andrew Saks and Ikram Goldman would have been worthy additions), and it's also not very diverse - of the 100 people on the list, only eight are black and two are Asian.

Still, the list is a testament to how vital the creative forces of the fashion industry are to the world at large. Take a look at the whole thing on Time.

Arizona Muse - The Next Big American Model in the Making? Anna Wintour Approves

>> Arizona Muse's star has been rising at rocket speed - in the past month alone, her Spring 2011 Prada and Yves Saint Laurent ads have come out, she's been on the January 2011 cover of Vogue Italia with Freja Beha Erichsen, and had only-girl spreads in Vogue UK February 2011 and Vogue China February 2011. Now, Anna Wintour is touting Muse in her February 2011 editors' letter as "the breakout star at the Spring 2011 shows last Fall," adding: "When I look at Arizona, I see shades of Linda Evangelista and Natalia Vodianova, but most of all, I see her, a gorgeous, smart grown-up. And how could anyone resist someone with that name?" If Muse keeps this up, she, Lindsey Wixson, and Karlie Kloss could be bringing American models back in a big way. Vogue Pays Tribute to Model Muses for May 2009

The May 2009 issue of Vogue, wholly dedicated to models in anticipation of this year's Model as Muse Costume Insitute Gala next month has debuted, and Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Maria Jagodzinska, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini,and Natasha Poly all made the final cut, wearing what appears to be Rodarte. This cover, shot by Steven Meisel, is notable not only because of its subjects, but because it marks the third consecutive cover to feature a woman of color on the front.

Inside, Natalia Vodianova, who has been called "the Baby" by Steven Meisel and makeup artist Pat McGrath since they starting working with her, collaborated with them again on a tribute editorial to models past, from Twiggy to Dovima, similar to the one Gisele Bundchen did for Harper's Bazaar last month. The key to Natalia's chameleon act? "I looked at each woman's lips - they're all different."
