>> Last runway season, Toni Garrn only walked a select few shows in Paris because she was supposedly focusing on her studies, and for Fall 2010, she didn't walk any: her agency told Zeit she was finishing up final exams to graduate this Spring, instead. She did, however, make time to shoot with Miles Aldridge for Vogue Italia's March 2010 issue.

>> The first issue of POP under Dasha Zhukova's guiding hand hits newsstands tomorrow at $8, with two international newsstand covers, each with a 50/50 split run, of Style Rookie's Tavi, plus a 500-copy limited-edition hardback cover by Ed Ruscha (below, left), and a limited subscriber's cover of Cicciolina for the Baltic States (below, right).

“The new Pop launches at an exciting turning point in fashion, where the possibilities and potential for creativity are almost overwhelming,” Zhukova told WWD. “The new era is more fluid than ever before; one where teenage girls in Chicago, fashion editors in Paris, street photographers from Berlin and bloggers everywhere . . . redefine the fashion landscape.”

May 2009 Vogue Italia Heralds Editorial Comebacks of Suvi, Irina

>> While Gemma Ward is still missing from the fashion scene - instead, she's DJing this Thursday in New York - but some of her compatriots are making a return to the influential editorial fold after lengthy breaks, courtesy of the May 2009 Vogue Italia.

Irina Lazareanu, who has been in full-on hiatus mode, skipping both the Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 runways save for a couple of turns during couture in January, is back in Miles Aldridge's technicolored "Dreamy." And Suvi Koponen, who skipped the Fall 2009 runways to travel the world, returns to major editorial ground showcasing what she does best - pose - in Richard Burbridge's "A Summer Blend." Not to mention Sasha Pivovarova's return to Vogue Italia cover territory, Moroccan-style.

>> So usually I don't post before I have all the pictures, but I'm going to have to. This editorial is AMAZING. Another reason for me to love Miles Aldridge. Called "A Flutter of Gauzy Fabrics," this shoot is with Marta Berzkalna and Querelle Jansen for Vogue Italia April 2006. Yes, that's right, I like an edit with Querelle. Her masculine features are usually not for me, but what can I say... times change. People change. You all know I love anything with an occult-like aura to it... so the spiderwebs, the library, the lighting... I'm gushing. AMAZING.
