Street Style Favorite Christene Centenera, Designer Louise Goldin Both Working on Kanye West's Upcoming Collection

>> The details of Kanye West's upcoming womenswear label are coming hard and fast these days. Louise Goldin, who has not shown on the catwalk for the past two seasons, has been working with West, Goldin's Central Saint Martins tutor Louise Wilson recently confirmed: "I can confirm that Kanye has been to visit me twice at Saint Martins and we have briefly discussed this collaboration . . . I think we can expect a well-considered collection, you wouldn't expect less from a pair of professionals and I warn against dismissing it in haste. There are those who might assume Louise will be doing all the work and Kanye is just the face, I don't believe this will be the case – he researches thoroughly and is hands on and committed to his work."

Goldin and West have reportedly set up a studio in Paris, but Goldin is said to be keen to relocate to the United States, prompting rumors that West will show the label at New York Fashion Week.

West has also reportedly been working with Harper's Bazaar Australia fashion editor and street style favorite Christine Centenera (above) on the line. Centenera met West in March at the Fall 2011 shows during Paris Fashion Week, and has since been flown to Paris twice monthly to work on the collection in a consulting capacity. When asked for comment, Centenera apparently replied that West is a very private person and that it’s not her place to comment.

Louise Goldin's Spiked and Studded Footwear Collection For Topshop In Stores Next Month

Slightly different (and a little less scary) than earlier images of the collection leaked online last fall, Louise Goldin's first footwear collection for Topshop is still tough, edgy, and very much inspired by the shoes seen on her spring 2010 runway in London. The Nineties-style stiletto pumps with combinations of studs and crystals on the heel and toe will be available in shades of black, cream, gold, and rose. According to Goldin, the pastel colors and crystals offer a bit of opulence and glamour that balance the spiked, fierce studs. The shoes retail for $310 and will be available online February 5.

The future may be impossible to predict but as they say the show must go on and in fashion there is never a "consumers go naked" day off.

The short list of the British Fashion Awards has been released. Nominees for emerging takent include Danielle Scutt, Louise Goldin, and Felder Felder in ready to wear and Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, and Anna Vince in accessories.

Fashion brands continue to expand overseas. Ralph Lauren has opened it first store in Turkey and Armani is opening its first store in India's New Delhi.

Pantyhose for men? This must be a joe and yet somehow the pieces begs to be taken seriously.

Kanye West Said To Be Showing at Paris Fashion Week, Working with Major Stylist

West, who is reportedly collaborating with designer Louise Goldin and stylist Christine Centenera on the collection, and Giuseppe Zanotti on shoes, is said to be working with a major stylist for the show, The Imagist reports: "Hiss hiss. Which ultra-power stylist is now playing in Kayne's camp for his blue chip Paris showing. And it IS a Paris showing kids!" W Magazine Gets Into Bed with Daria, Kate, and Lara This July

>> It's out: This is the secret project Alexander Wang hinted at - but it's something much bigger than just a collaboration between Wang and Kate Moss. W magazine's July 2008 issue is devoted to fashion, and I mean that in the best possible way.

A Bruce Weber-lensed photo places Daria Werbowy, Kate Moss, and Lara Stone on the cover, and that mean troika is joined by Sasha Pivovarova and a whole cabal of up-and-coming designers - think Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Gareth Pugh, Danielle Scutt, Christophe Decarnin of Balmain, plus more - to cavort around for 36-page editorial shot in Miami.

Bruce Weber was the perfect choice to capture the high summer heat in action - favorite images include a portrait of Kate Moss with her father and sister (below), glasses-wearing Jeremy Laing being playfully bullied by a bevy of much tanner, much beefier male models, and Laura and Kate Mulleavy trying on vintage couture hats.

According to Danielle Scutt, she, Louise Goldin, Gareth Pugh, and Georgina Chapman got together during the shoot for a performance of George Michael’s “Freedom! ’90”:

Gareth was playing the washboard, Georgina had maracas, and me and Louise had tambourines. Some of us then went back to the hotel and jumped in the pool. When I woke up the next morning, I couldn’t find my trainers or jeans.

Another fun fact: Jason Wu, besides designing his eponymous line, is the creative director and partner of a $5 million company, Integrity Toys Inc., for whom he develops dolls.
