Brad Goreski's new biography, Born to Be Brad, hits bookstores March 6 - and it's reportedly full of some surprisingly sordid details, including cocaine and alcohol abuse. "I was in our bathroom, staring in the mirror, and I didn't recognize myself," Goreski writes. [Stylecaster]

Speaking of March 6, that's the day Kanye West will be taking his second stab at Paris Fashion Week. Now, rumors are swirling that he may also be planning a line for Topshop. However, Topshop's CEO Sir Phillip Green, who was spotted having lunch with West in London, denies that a collaboration is in the works. [Fashionista]

Looks like Karlie Kloss is skipping New York Fashion Week; The Daily Beast's Isabel Wilkinson confirmed the news today via Twitter. "Karlie Kloss won't walk in New York Fashion Week this season because of an 'engagement that has come up,' says her spokesperson," Wilkinson said. [Styleite]

James Franco has directed and shot the latest 7 For All Mankind campaign, featuring Lily Donaldson, Henry Hopper, and Amber Anderson. The campaign - which the brand describes as an "innovative multimedia experience that embodies the brand's California roots and 'forever cool' aesthetic" - launches on a dedicated You Tube channel Feb. 15. Despite a very successful design career, Stella McCartney doesn't think of herself as famous. "I don't think many people recognize me," the designer recently said. "I guess, I grew up with one of the most famous people in the world, so for me, I don't really see it." McCartney goes on to say that she still gets excited when seeing her designs on strangers in public: "I'm embarrassing when I see someone in the street with one of my bags, I'm like 'nice bag'. CFDA Fashion Fund winner Joseph Altuzarra has quite a sweet tooth. The designer - who shows his Fall 2012 collection this Saturday - recently divulged the 12 things he can't live without. Carine Roitfeld Had an Ulterior Motive for Attending the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

>> Carine Roitfeld, Inez van Lamsweerde, and Vinoodh Matadin were all in attendance for Wednesday's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show taping, and though it's apparently Roitfeld's favorite show (she attends almost every year), all three apparently had ulterior motives for their appearances - they were scoping out the cast for a Vogue Paris editorial.

The Imagist reports: "[Roitfeld didn't just want] a dose of good old American spectacle. Let's just say there's a veeeery sexy Inez and Vinoodh edit abrewing for Vogue Paris. Extra points to the gossip gurl who can suss out who the cast for that booking will be. There's said to be at least 3 angels (past n present) in the mix." And today, jewelry designer Rodrigo Otazu Tweeted: "Busy morning with French Vogue shoot [sic] today with top models Karolina Kurkova, Lily Donaldson, Adriana Lima and Izabel Goulart." The cast fits the description: Kurkova, Lima, and Goulart are three Victoria's Secret Angels past and present.

Brazilians Still Going Strong at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show; Plus, After Party Images

>> Victoria's Secret models are all over fashion editorials and campaigns these days - Models.com suspects Candice Swanepoel might be next to cross over - and no wonder, with 10 and Harper's Bazaar editor Sophia Neophitou as show stylist. As Neophitou told Style.com of casting the show: “It’s such an editorial level . . . We looked at girls we love to shoot editorially; that’s what great. I think there’s a perception before you get here of what will work. But the reality is, it’s about the girl, it’s about the woman, what she brings as a human being to it, rather than has she got a size 34C cup. No, it’s not about that at all. That’s what they’ve got the miracle bras for.”

Brazilians were heavily favored as usual this year, with Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Isabeli Fontana, Izabel Goulart, Flavia Oliveira, Lais Ribeiro, Fabiana Semprebom, Emanuela de Paula, Gracie Carvalho, and Martha Streck all representing; 10 Brazilians out of the 33 total models. See the First Photos of the 2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Costumes; Plus, More Models Confirmed

>> The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has come a long way in 15 years - see the very first show, sans any wings, here - and this year, the theme is "A Night of a Thousand Fantasies." The first few costume images have popped up (Lily Aldridge's two looks can be seen here), and we've got a few confirmed names to add to the list: among them, Selita Ebanks, Katsia Damenkova, Anne Vyalitsyna (who's getting her first wings this year), Constance Jablonski, Gracie Carvalho, Lily Donaldson, and Lais Ribeiro.

There's also a new casting video out, and Ed Razek, chief marketing officer of Limited Brands, parent company of Victoria's Secret, admits of the process: "I hate castings, because I’m basically a softy and I hate the broken hearts and I hate saying no . . . What people don’t realize is that [those who fit the parameters of a Victoria's Secret model are] rarer by far than superstar athletes. The numbers of people who can do this are probably under 100 in the world. And in the show, it’s only [33] girls.”

And the castings - which Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou and Dan May of Harper’s Bazaar UK and 10 Magazine have a say in as stylists - are tough. Maryna Linchuk had to audition again this year, despite walking in the show in the past, because bodies change, Monica Mitro, executive producer of the show, said. “You don’t see them for a minute, and . . . ” she added, holding her hands wide to gesture for broad hips. But some faults are more forgivable than others - when Caroline Winberg walked in to casting, with hair described by the New York Times as "frazzled by styling until it was the texture of wood shavings," Mitro stated: “Never mind the hair . . . we can always do something about the hair."

Karolina Kurkova May Be Back on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Runway This Year

>> Karolina Kurkova hasn't been in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show since 2008, when she was ending her run as an Angel. But it sounds like she might be back onstage this year - she, along with girls like Jourdan Dunn, Jessica Stam, Caroline Trentini, Lais Ribeiro, and Lily Donaldson, were among those brought in for final casting callbacks for this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which tapes on Nov. 10. It's not unheard of for a former Angel to appear in the show again - Izabel Goulart, who was an Angel from 2005 to 2008, walked in last year's show (at the time, Kurkova had just given birth). [TFS]

Sheer Gowns and Masks Aplenty at Vogue Paris's 90th Anniversary Ball

>> Carine Roitfeld's masquerade ball last night, celebrating 90 years of Vogue Paris and loosely Eyes Wide Shut-themed, meant lots of sheer gowns, and lots of show attendees preoccupied with finding a mask yesterday. Anna Dello Russo, inspired by Lady Gaga, paired a Gareth Pugh headpiece with her custom Emilio Pucci gown. Jean Paul Gaultier designed a metal mask for himself adorned with long feathers: "Yes, they're giant eyelashes, acting like hair -- since I'm missing some as you can see - so instead I've gone for this black plume."

Tyra Banks made do with cut up fishnets, Sasha Pivovarova got her mask "from a sex shop," and Lily Donaldson wore a red tulle veil to match her Christian Dior gown: “I made it myself. I went all the way up to the fabric district in Montmartre today.” Stephen Jones made Karlie Kloss's star spangled mask to go with her Christian Dior gown, and Riccardo Tisci did Mariacarla Boscono's over the top feathered hat, while he looked to Philip Treacy to custom make his mask.

While there was plenty of mask ogling, Carine Roitfeld was more preoccupied with other thoughts. “Oh my goodness, even the models are eating, it’s amazing!” she laughed, as Lily Donaldson took a leaf from a chocolate cabbage.

Roberto Cavalli Admits He's Not the Party Animal He Used to Be at His $2 Million 40th Anniversary Bash

>> Roberto Cavalli reportedly spent about $2 million on his 40th anniversary bash held last night at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris - and that doesn't include the budget allotted to bringing Natalia Vodianova (and perhaps some of the other 1,200 attendees) to the party. As the New York Times's Eric Wilson wrote: "It was one of those fashion parties that felt like another era, when it was possible to enjoy such extravagance without wondering how a designer could possibly be selling enough animal-printed evening gowns and exuberantly distressed denim to afford it all."

Kylie Minogue performed, the walls were lined with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott's images of models in Cavalli, and Heidi Klum introduced the designer as a four-tier, 10-foot birthday cake covered in sparklers was wheeled onto the stage. But even through all that, Cavalli, almost 70, admitted he's not the party animal he used to be: “Don’t say it, don’t say it, please, because the people should still dream with me,” he said. “The young should think that, instead of sparkling water, I drink Krug, or that I still smoke 10 Cuban cigars every day.”

According to rumors, last night, Gucci demanded all girls cast in their show fly into Milan, pronto. That means Burberry's usual all-star London lineup - Freja Beha Erichsen and Lily Donaldson among them - were already gone; Burberry did nab Jourdan Dunn and Lisanne De Jong, however.

Fashion's Night Out's Fashion Show Featured a Dancing Gisele, a Rapping Pharrell, and a Whole Lot of Designer Duds

>> The audience at tonight's Fashion's Night Out fashion show wasn't limited to the 1,500 ticket-holders - crowds gathered behind police barricades across the street from the Lincoln Center Plaza for a glimpse of New York City's largest fashion show. Those who were lucky enough to nab tickets to the show were treated to a concentric-circled runway setup, with rows no more than two deep. Not only that, but among the audience was a large smattering of designers - Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger, Diane von Furstenberg, Jenna Lyons, Michael Kors, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Phillip Lim, Vera Wang, Francisco Costa, and Donna Karan among them; models - Lauren Hutton, Bar Rafaeli, Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann; and other industry figures, including Anna Wintour, with favorites Blake Lively and Roger Federer next to her, and Si Newhouse himself. Bee Shaffer arrived 45 minutes early to the event, holding hands with boyfriend Jake Hurwitz.

Anna Wintour's fears that the show, scheduled to start at 7:30 pm, would begin late were unmerited - it started on the dot with Alicia Keys's "Empire State of Mind" playing on the loudspeaker as spotlights searched the audience and the fountain in the center of the setup rose and then fell.

As the audience looked for Gisele Bundchen, set to open the show's 171 looks, a Fashion's Night Out doubledecker bus pulled up next to the Plaza, carrying Bundchen, Angela Lindvall, Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha, Lily Donaldson, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Caroline Trentini, Sasha Pivovarova, Adriana Lima, Chanel Iman, and Karlie Kloss, each dressed in a Fashion's Night Out tee paired with a long ballgown skirt and heels. The twelve models dismounted the bus one by one, forming a line in front of the Plaza steps as the rest of the 150 model cast filled in behind them.

Gisele leading the way, the twelve openers made their way around the fountain, soon followed by groups of models clipping by showcasing "Fifties Flair," "Tartan Twist," "Rock Chic," "Go Global," and "Jazz-Age Cool." Each group wormed their way around the circular runway, the models coming in quick succession, highly choreographed and sometimes stopping and turning. A few were suffering from their heels by the end - Rose Cordero and Heidi Mount among them - and those in the "Weekend Wrap-Up" group, all swathed in capes and jackets, had sweat rolling from their temples after all the parading, thanks to the humid Indian Summer air.

Pharrell Williams popped up on the center fountain to close the extravaganza in a surprise performance, and Gisele and the rest of the openers paraded and danced back to the bus, this time in full-on designer gowns, with Naomi Campbell in the finale spot. As Pharrell joined them, he encouraged the audience - ticketed and not - to shop New York, because after all, that was the whole point of this 15-minute shindig. So will it work?
