>> Last week we had a first peek at the inaugural issue of POP, rebooted with Dasha Zhukova at the helm, and now, courtesy of an ad run in the just-released September 2009 issue of Vogue UK (with Kate Moss on the cover), we have a little preview at the second issue of Katie Grand's new baby, LOVE.
They took the same tactic for the first issue — so the image at left isn't the cover, but rather from an editorial within — but the theme seems to be "New Blood: The Young and the Reckless," with some inclusions listed that have been raising eyebrows — Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers, for instance. Also making the teaser: 13 year-old Style Rookie blogger Tavi.

Rodarte Jets In to London for Private Dinner at Harvey Nicks
>> Fifty guests pulled up to a long white table at Harvey Nichol's Fifth Floor restaurant for a private dinner co-hosted by Rodarte's Laura and Kate Mulleavy and Kate Bosworth. Daphne Guinness flitted in, spritzing at least one guest with her yet-to-be-released perfume, frequent Rodarte collaborator Nicholas Kirkwood also appeared — his shoes were represented on at least one guest's feet, Kate Bosworth — and told Grazia of his work with the designers: "We didn't even meet the first few seasons that we worked together. Everything was over the phone and email. It was so great when we finally met. We get on so well and are on the same wave length. They always want to do something different — we've even made shoes out of electrical wire!"
Attendees Plum Sykes, Bella Freud, Trish Goff, and Lula's Leith Clark, who was seated next to Laura, were served nettle soup and trifle, and around midnight, when all headed home, the Mulleavys, Kate Bosworth, and Nicholas Kirkwood "headed out and onto another club."
>> BLOWING THE COVER —So who will it be: a shocked Audrey Marnay, or a soft Ali Michael? You can choose one or choose both; Each girl has a cover of the Fall edition of Leith Clark's girly cult magazine, Lula #7, out Sept. 8. [TFS]
Forget Jack White, Karen Elson Has a Voice of Her Own
>> Karen Elson has plenty of projects these days — her modeling work, raising two young children, opening that vintage store in Nashville — but when Zooey Deschanel came through Tennessee with her band She & Him a couple of weeks ago, Karen joined her onstage for a resounding edition of "The Tennessee Waltz." The two have previously appeared together in Sarah Sophie Flicker's short film Lay Down Lean, and seem to run in the same Erin Fetherston-Leith Clark circles.
