Lara Stone Stars in Hot Chip's New Music Video

Lara Stone captains a spaceship to Earth in Hot Chip's music video for the song "Night & Day."

Peter Serafinowicz directed the video, in which a cult led by British actor Terence Stamp dances to summon two beings from outer space - played admirably by Stone and musician Reggie Watts. When Stone and Watts arrive, their ships combine to form a yin and yang symbol - which makes the cult happy until things start to go awry. Take a look at the video below.

America's Olympians have taken over the June issue of Vogue, with a cover featuring soccer player Hope Solo, swimmer Ryan Lochte, and tennis star Serena Williams. Lochte is the fourth man to be included on the cover of Vogue (the other three are Richard Gere, George Clooney, and LeBron James). Inside the magazine, Karlie Kloss poses alongside other athletes, like gymnast Jonathan Horton and basketball player Dwyane Wade. [Vogue]
H&M has apologized for using an image of a tan-skinned Isabeli Fontana to advertise its Summer swimsuits after a Swedish anticancer group accused the brand of promoting "a beauty ideal that is deadly." H&M said in a statement that "It was not our intention to show off a specific ideal or to encourage dangerous behaviour, but was instead to show off our latest summer collection." Lara Stone revealed how her husband, David Walliams, managed to woo her in the new issue of Vogue Netherlands: "He stalked me," she joked. Asked whether she thought their romance was sparked by love at first sight, Stone said, "To him it was!" [Vogue UK]
Manolo Blahnik has signed a deal to expand his footprint in London. Shoe retailer Kurt Geiger will open a Manolo Blahnik shop-in-store at Harrods in time to sell the accessories brand's Fall 2012 collection. Kurt Geiger opened a similar space for Blahnik at Liberty London this February. [Vogue UK]
The May issue of L'Uomo Vogue is dedicated to "Rebranding Africa." Editor Franca Sozzani said she wanted to portray African nations in a favorable light. "Presenting a positive image of the continent means focusing world attention on an area that has been hitherto excluded," she said. [Fashion Etc.]

Jean Paul Gaultier has been named to the nine-member panel of the Cannes Film Festival, alongside actors Ewan McGregor and Diane Kruger. Gaultier, a longtime film lover, will help the panel select the winner for the Palme d'Or, Cannes's biggest prize. "We have a tradition of inviting people who we know are cinephiles but who are not necessarily in cinema," said Cannes director Thierry Fremaux. [Vogue UK]

Alexander Wang got name-checked in a recent song from South African group Die Antwoord - a fitting thank-you note after Wang cast the group in his T by Alexander Wang Spring 2012 campaign. On the track "Hey Sexy," lead vocalist Ninja raps, "I know how to get da dough, I know how to spend da dough/ Rockin' Alexander Wang from head-to-toe." [The Cut]

Simon Doonan wants to know why people have lost their fascination with accomplishment. In a new column, Doonan compares society's past reverence for people like playwright Arthur Miller with the current verve for Kim Kardashian. "During the last century, consummate skill was HOT!" he writes. "Now it would appear to have become a giant turnoff." [Slate]

Lara Stone's border terrier puppy Bert got his 15 minutes of fame this week when the model tweeted a picture of him wearing Mulberry's Doggy Kagool denim hoodie. "OMG! Mr Bert loves his new jean hoodie!" she wrote. "Thank you so much @Mulberry_Editor #TooCute." Too cute indeed. [Marie Claire UK]

Prada partnered with artist Vahram Muratyan on a series of GIFs that celebrate its Spring 2012 throwback to 1950s Americana. Each of the moving images depicts a stylized version of something in that collection, from shoes with decorative tail lights to colorfully decorated aviator sunglasses. [Trendland]

This Week's Best Dressed

>> The first full week of Spring brought plenty of inspiring new-season styles - and even a few surprises.

Brooklyn Decker traded in her usual low-key ensembles for a plethora of out-of-this-world designer looks: Giambattista Valli, Isabel Marant, and Stella McCartney each made appearances at photocalls for the actress's new film, Battleship. Models Miranda Kerr, Lara Stone, Candice Swanepoel, Karolina Kurkova, Agyness Deyn, Jessica White, and a newly-brunette Jessica Stam were also all spotted out and about - and though each looked just as chic as ever, it was their two very pregnant colleagues, Molly Sims and Lily Aldridge, who really stole the show.

There were also plenty of standout casual styles spotted on the streets - Elizabeth Olsen and Emma Roberts each looked effortless in transitional coat-and-trouser ensembles, and Kate Moss and Jessica Alba each sported rose-hued jeans.

However, perhaps it was Elletra Wiedemann who most aptly captured the week's prevailing mood, when at an event hosted by Vogue and Tod's. She exclaimed, "I really just wanted to dress up!"

Victoria's Secret's New High-End Line, Alice Dellal's New Look, and Jessica Chastain's Oscar Phone Call

Victoria's Secret has launched its first high-end lingerie line, called The Victoria's Secret Designer Collection. Though it includes pieces that were shown during November's fashion show, the line had been kept top secret - until now. It's available at VictoriasSecret.com, and retails between $38 and $298. Speaking of lingerie, Bar Refaeli is the latest model to launch her own line of intimates. The label is called Under.me and will be available online in the UK for Valentine's Day. Priced from $7.50 to $25, Refaeli says the line is based on what "I like and find cute". [WWD]

Alice Dellal - the new face of Chanel's Boy Bag - has been looking a lot less "punk" lately. At the Chanel couture show (left), she wore a long skirt and a lace top. She kept her mismatched nails though. [Telegraph]

Also trying a new look: Lara Stone, who donned a coiffed brown wig and super-dark eyebrows to pose with actor Aaron Eckhart for Peter Lindbergh's lens. [Vogue]

Behind the Scenes at the Pirelli 2012 Calendar Shoot with Kate Moss and Lara Stone (NSFW)

>> The 2012 Pirelli calendar isn't set to be released until December 6th, but behind-the-scenes images from the shoot - featuring Kate Moss and Lara Stone - are already trickling in. The nature-themed calendar also features models Isabeli Fontana (left), Milla Jovovich, Margaret Madè, Saskia de Brauw, and Rinko Kikuchi - all posed in rustic settings at the remote Murtoli estate in Corsica.

Mario Sorrenti, Moss's ex-boyfriend - and the first Italian to ever shoot for Pirelli - photographed the calendar. The shoot took place just three weeks before the supermodel's July wedding to Jamie Hince. Hince was, reportedly, present on-set.

Lara Stone On Her New Addiction and Who She's Obsessed With

"Someone can do your hair nice and put some make-up on - but being sexy is something inside and not everybody has it. I don’t think I ever really had it, a lot of it is to do with confidence. Lady Gaga, for example, walking around in her bra and knickers and being really sexy but still she’s just not sexy at all, to me."

Her current addiction: "Knitting. I started two months ago when I quit smoking. I have a totally addictive personality so I instantly downloaded all these apps for patterns. I’ve made lots of squares in different colours and then I’m sewing them together to make a blanket, it’s getting quite big now."

Her girl crush: "At the moment I’m obsessed with Nigella Lawson. I think she is just the most gorgeous thing ever. Her skin practically makes me drool. I’d love to be just like her."
