>> The first issue of POP under Dasha Zhukova's guiding hand hits newsstands tomorrow at $8, with two international newsstand covers, each with a 50/50 split run, of Style Rookie's Tavi, plus a 500-copy limited-edition hardback cover by Ed Ruscha (below, left), and a limited subscriber's cover of Cicciolina for the Baltic States (below, right).

“The new Pop launches at an exciting turning point in fashion, where the possibilities and potential for creativity are almost overwhelming,” Zhukova told WWD. “The new era is more fluid than ever before; one where teenage girls in Chicago, fashion editors in Paris, street photographers from Berlin and bloggers everywhere . . . redefine the fashion landscape.”

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —The first photo from Prada's Fall 2009 campaign has leaked, and instead of horses involved as previously reported, the setting is four girls — Prada favorite Ymre Stiekema, Katlin Aas, Julia Hafstrom, and Kendra Spears, who is said to be the main focus — in a boat, surrounded by water; this particular image is supposedly one of the "most interesting," according to someone who claims to have seen the full set by Steven Meisel. The Miu Miu Fall 2009 campaign, which has yet to appear, will reportedly have a strong androgynous theme. [TFS, TFS]

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —While a horse of Steven Klein's caused Madonna injury over the weekend, another Steven — Steven Meisel — worked with a horse last week for one setting of the "marathon" four day Prada Fall 2009 campaign shoot at Pier 59 Studios in New York. No confirmation on which models were involved, but a number of unconfirmed sources are indicating four girls — Kendra Spears, Anna De Rijk, Katlin Aas, and Miuccia Prada's current favorite, Ymre Stiekema. >> THE MODELIZER —Meet Katlin Aas, the 16-year-old Estonian newcomer who dabbled on the runways a bit in London — Christopher Kane, Topshop Unique — before landing two of the most coveted runway spots of the season: Prada opener and closer. It's not often that Miuccia picks the same girl to do double-duty, and Models.com predicts we'll be seeing her more when campaign season hits. [Models.com, Ones2Watch]
