>> Just today, Swarovski announced that they were going to clothe Michael Jackson head to toe for his "This Is It" tour kicking off next month — his costumes and sets were to feature over 300,000 crystals, in 53 different shapes, 43 different sizes, and 27 different colors. In April, The Imagist reported that Balmain stylist Emmanuelle Alt "would weep" if Jackson allowed Balmain to do his tour costumes because she was "100% obsessed" with him — a fact reflected in Balmain's flashy runway pieces.
Jackson had catapulted himself back into fashion's eye in recent months after he was spotted in a number of different Balmain looks — no doubt courtesy of Emmanuelle Alt — and a favorite gold studded Givenchy jacket. At the news of his death this afternoon, an outpouring of reactions — some incredulous — came from models, editors, and designers alike — those from a few, below.

Fashion Mourns Michael Jackson
>> THE MODELIZER — Agyness Deyn has a new Uniqlo campaign and odd commercial that goes with it — think her and Gabriel Aubry running and jumping in slow motion — which stylist Nicola Formichetti just posted, and now she's got an entire song dedicated to her by London-based DJ Jodie Harsh and NYC-based DJ Larry Tee. The new single, "Agyness Deyn" — listen here — pays homage to her best friend Henry Holland's iconic t-shirts with a chorus of "Flick your bean for Agyness Deyn," and boasts lyrics like: "Even her assistant has an assistant / During fashion week . . . she has five." Coachella Spawns Slimane Sighting, New York Times Fashion Shoot
>> Crowds will always flock to Indio for Coachella, and over the weekend, the fashion flock was well-represented. Agyness Deyn was photographed mid-smooch, confirming speculation that she has moved on from ex-fiance Albert Hammond, Jr. with Phantom Planet's Alex Greenwald and cementing her status as another British model with a thing for musicians.
Henry Holland, in town to pal around with Agy and see the shows, spotted Hedi Slimane "wandering around with a camera in all black." Yesterday morning, Slimane was still in town, scouting and taking breakfast at the newly-opened Ace Hotel in nearby Palm Springs. Also going down at the Ace over the weekend, a New York Times fashion shoot with photographer Sebastian Kim, which must be for an upcoming T magazine.
Alexander Wang, in LA to launch his shop-in-shop for Opening Ceremony that will feature exclusive merchandise involving fur and exotic skins starting in the Fall, hit Coachella in a Land Rover with Zoe Kravitz; Jeremy Scott and Daisy Lowe also made festival appearances.

>> INSIDER WIRE —Marc Jacobs wasn't able to make to the Cinema Society screening of He's Just Not That Into You along with boyfriend Lorenzo Martone, but he was there in spirit. Martone wore a bright green Henry Holland shirt that read "Do me in the parc Marc": "I thought because he's not with me that it would be perfect to wear. I hope he sees it or hears about it." [FWD]
Beth Ditto To Grace First Cover of Love?
>> Some of Katie Grand's nearest and dearest — Giles Deacon, Agyness Deyn, Alexander McQueen — came out to the Royal Academy in London last night to celebrate the first-ever party for her new magazine Love. Guests sipped tea and participated in a treasure hunt, but the night's big attention-getter was Beth Ditto — she's rumored to be Love's first cover star. No confirmation yet — but a good space to watch might be the magazine's under-the-radar blog, which so far chronicles the move to a new office, visits to showrooms, and Giles holding scotch eggs over his eyes.

Henry Holland Does Designer Tees — Literally
>> Henry Holland first burst onto the scene back in 2006 when he got Giles Deacon to wear a t-shirt that read "UHU Gareth Pugh" for his runway bow — Gareth reciprocated soon after by wearing Holland's "Get Your Freak on Giles Deacon" shirt.
In the time since, fashion iconograhy has proliferated on t-shirts. Deer Dana launched tees with cartoon renderings of Hamish Bowles, Andre Leon Talley, and Agyness Deyn, and just last week, Diane von Furstenberg graphic designer Chris Sauve launched the "Save Anna" graphic campaign — "take this graphic and make a t-shirt" — after rumors of Wintour's demise.
Holland is finally switching it up from the trademark slogan tees; He's done cartoon renderings of nude John Galliano, Donatella Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, and of course close friend Agyness Deyn — with flowers appropriately placed, Karl's a Chanel camellia. There are more designers involved — Luella Bartley included — and all approved Henry's graphics, which are going on t-shirts, to arrive in stores next year.

>> THE MODELIZER —These days, Agyness Deyn may just be tooling around New York with Henry Holland and sharing her favorites — including fiance Albert Hammond Jr.'s solo album — but I wonder if she knew a Gossip Girl character was going to be loosely modelled after her? In last night's episode, Willa Holland showed up to play "Agnes," a model. She may not look as much like Agyness as Agyness's own assistant, but the reference was clearly there; I wonder why they didn't just ask Agyness herself to guest star? [PopSugar UK, WWWD]
Coco Rocha, Lily Donaldson, Hilary Rhoda Get Their Buttons Pushed
>> The Tents are loaded with plenty of freebies, but these might be the cutest — to go along with Fashion Week's election theme, someone took a page out of Henry Holland's book and printed model slogan campaign buttons for Coco Rocha, Lily Donaldson, Hilary Rhoda, Ali Michael, Jessica Stam, and Agyness Deyn. Apparently, Agyness has been seen wearing Stam's around, and Stam wearing Coco's . . .
Agyness Deyn Scorned, Sumo-ed
Rumor has it that she and boyfriend Josh Hubbard of The Paddingtons have broken it off. The two have been dating since 2005, but apparently this isn't their first break — according to a source, "they have had rows and split before — then got back together again. Their friends are hoping this will just be a temporary split and that they'll eventually work through their problems."
Let's hope for the best. Meanwhile, for more upbeat Aggy-ness, check out her sumo stunt with Nick Grimshaw, and then have a look at her outing on Friday below.
