Rape Investigation Against Heidi Mount's Husband Shawn Mount Dropped

>> Heidi Mount's hairstylist husband of three years Shawn Mount was arrested and questioned on suspicion of rape during the most recent London Fashion Week, but according to a Scotland Yard spokesman, no charges have been filed and "no further action will be taken" on the case. In a statement, Heidi responded: "We are still together. Nothing about these false accusations has changed our relationship." And Shawn said, "I am so relieved that this is over. >> For the 2011 Pirelli calendar, which launched in Moscow today, Karl Lagerfeld said that he produced “the visual version of Homer. I did with my camera what he did with his pen, although we understand that he probably didn't use a pen.” Lagerfeld gathered 15 female models, 5 male models, and Julianne Moore in his Paris studio back in April to produce 36 black and white images of deities from ancient Greece and Rome for the calendar. “I wanted to do something different. I looked at all the other calendars,” he explained, adding: “With such a concept and boys and girls like this, it was an easy job.”

Lagerfeld was surrounded by a cadre of the models featured for the Moscow launch, including Natasha Poly sporting a new brunette hair color. But who did he cast as whom? Julianne Moore plays Hera, Brad Kroenig poses as Zeus, Lara Stone gives her best Aphrodite, Jeneil Williams channels Hades, and Baptiste Giabiconi embodies the roles of both Narcissus and Apollo.

The rest of the cast includes: Bianca Balti (as a Bacchante), Elisa Sednaoui (Flora, Echo), Freja Beha Erichsen (Apollo, Pollux, Orpheus), Isabeli Fontana (a Bacchante), Magdalena Frackowiak (Athena, Estia), Anja Rubik (Hermes, Terpsichore), Abbey Lee Kershaw (Echo, Castor, Eurydice), Lakshmi Menon (a Bacchante), Heidi Mount (Aurora, Amphitrite), Erin Wasson (Ajax, a Bacchante), Natasha Poly (Melpomene), Daria Werbowy (Artemis, Penthesilea), Iris Strubegger (Athena), Sebastien Jondeau (Mars), Garret Neff (Bacchus), and Jake Davis (Achilles).

First Look - The Karl Lagerfeld-Lensed Pirelli 2011 Calendar

>> Karl Lagerfeld shot the 2011 Pirelli calendar way back in April at his Paris studio, and although it won't be unveiled until Nov. 30 in Moscow, until now, no imagery has leaked. The calendar is inspired by gods of Greek and Roman mythology this year, and the first outtake has popped up, showing Isabeli Fontana, Garrett Neff, and Bianca Balti as "Bacchus with Two Bacchantes." Also included in the 2011 cast are Heidi Mount, Natasha Poly, Magdalena Frackowiak, two to three more male models, plus Elisa Sednaoui, who recently said she will be joining Lagerfeld for the Moscow unveiling. Alber Elbaz Pulls Out the Stops at Lanvin for H&M Fashion Show

>> Alber Elbaz and the Lanvin team descended on New York's Pierre Hotel Thursday evening, transforming it with palm fronds, caged parakeets, models in French maid outfits, and little old men offering up champagne, scotch, crustless tea sandwiches, and macaroons, to show off their H&M collaboration.

At the runway's entrance, a rose-filled arch set with "Lanvin Hearts H&M" in fluorescent lights; to the side of that, a salsa band played live music. And above the runway, there were 20 crystal chandeliers. The venue was packed, to say the least - Sofia Coppola, Patrick Demarchelier, Shala Monroque, Sally Singer, and Grace Coddington were all there, plus more than a handful of other designers sitting front row: Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Tory Burch, Alexander Wang, Anna Sui.

Katie Grand styled the show - and the models were told to engage with the audience - so Siri Tollerod, as veiled bride, tossed her bouquet; Pixie Geldof strutted down in her gender-bending suit; Anna Dello Russo, walked with a gray standard poodle at her side; and Julia Frakes made her runway debut. The clothes were couture riffs on the Lanvin for H&M collection - on sale to benefit Unicef now - but afterward, there was a frenzy for the Lanvin for H&M collection pop-up shop set up downstairs. Many editors walked away with multiple bags, Coppola bought the tulle jacket, and even Wang did a little shopping of his own.

Heidi Mount's Husband Faces Rape Allegations

>> Heidi Mount's husband, 30-year-old hairstylist Shawn Mount, was accused by an unnamed 24-year-old model of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room during London Fashion Week. Mount, who has worked for Vogue and on Ralph Lauren ad campaigns, was in London styling models for runway shows. He was arrested on suspicion of rape on Sept. 21 and released on police bail to work at Milan Fashion Week. He has not been charged, although investigations are continuing; sources indicate that Heidi knows the accuser and was in Milan at the time of the alleged attack. Prabal Gurung Wanted to Make a Statement About Something Other Than "Vulgar Dresses" for Spring 2010

>> Prabal Gurung says his Spring 2011 collection was inspired by Tilda Swinton’s role in I Am Love and dedicated to "the intelligent woman. The brain is her most important feature." He continued: “We’ve had a decade of tight skirts and vulgar dresses, and I wanted to make a statement about something different.” Hence the collection's predominant silhouette: a hemline five inches below the knee.

Gurung prides himself on his technicality, talking backstage about a skirt with side slits that took him a week to perfect and a sheath dress spliced with neoprene: “This is a pattern-maker’s nightmare. When you see the pattern all laid out it looks like a maze.” A few cocktail dresses with seam tape fringe came off a bit heavy, but the brightly colored ensembles - Frida Gustavsson's opening dress, Irina Kulikova's sky blue blouse and saffron yellow pencil skirt - were striking, and Heidi Mount's blue mesh paneled gown deserves a major red carpet moment. The show also marked Gurung's first shoe collaboration with Nicholas Kirkwood, who said after the show: "I'm just happy no one tripped!"

New York Treated to a Karl Lagerfeld Appearance at Chanel's Soho Store Re-Opening Last Night

>> Baptiste Giabiconi was rumored to make his singing debut at the Chanel Soho store party in New York last night - Karl Lagerfeld is reportedly pushing him to be a pop star - but apparently he got cold feet. Instead, guests were treated to the redone store, cordoned off from the public by a LED display wall playing Chanel videos and brimming with editors (Sally Singer, Robbie Myers, Cecilia Dean, Amy Astley); models (Heidi Mount, Jessica Stam, Magdalena Frackowiak, Anja Rubik, Freja Beha Erichsen, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Erin Wasson, Shalom Harlow, Crystal Renn); and Chanel favorites like Poppy Delevigne, Caroline Sieber, Diane Kruger, Liv Tyler, Courtney Love, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Alexa Chung, who was DJing the party, asked last night if she could buy the new Chanel Les Khakis nail polish (which came out today), but she was told she had to wait until this morning to pick it up. And before Lagerfeld arrived, publicists scraped graffiti stickers, posters, and fliers off the scaffolding by the red carpet. They even had box cutters to scrape off tape and remnants. But that wasn't the only prep done in anticipation of Lagerfeld's arrival: The Daily reports from sources working in the building that houses the Soho boutique that Lagerfeld also demanded his own private bathroom to use during the party, and thus, one was built.

Waiters stood by holding trays of Chanel-logoed spray paint cans which could be used to tag a LED wall near the store's entrance, and the gift bag held a silk scarf printed with a polar bear among camellias. Lagerfeld also took the opportunity to show off his new discovery, 19-year-old French singer Izia, who took the stage at the party (thus intimidating Giabiconi).

The 2010 CFDA Awards Are Here! Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu Take Home Wins

>> This evening at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, fashion's finest gathered for the 2010 CFDA Awards. Jak & Jil's Tommy Ton snapped photos of the arrivals, J.Crew's Jenna Lyons introduced herself to Isabel Toledo, and the ever-punctual Anna Wintour was later than usual, appearing after the pre-awards cocktails were in full swing.

Wintour put on her signature shades for the ceremony itself, but off they came when International Award winner Christopher Bailey thanked her (along with Tom Ford and Donna Karan) - in fact, she was beaming. Later, she got on stage to present Michael Kors with his Lifetime Achievement Award - he received a standing ovation - and told a story about how she went on a trip to Jamaica with Kors; when Ralph Lauren arrived, Kors got in the ocean and stayed there for hours because he didn't want Lauren to see him in his swimsuit.

Speaking of Lauren, he received the Popular Vote for the second year running - although he wasn't in attendance this evening. Sarah Jessica Parker, dressed in a custom gown by new Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton, presented Lee Alexander McQueen posthumously with the Special Tribute Award, noting that the designer had "the most beautiful hands I've ever seen," before models took the stage in the designer's last works.

Accepting her Fashion Icon Award, Iman thanked her parents for the longest neck on any model at any go-see in the world and joked to husband David Bowie: "Move over. You're not the only icon in the house." And finally, Marc Jacobs scored the Womenwear Award - he thanked bloggers for his win and said to Robert Duffy: "i want to thank [Duffy], without you this dream would never have come true."

Video: Karl Lagerfeld's Full Chanel Cruise 2011 Short Film, Remember Now

>> Chanel's latest short film, which debuted last night in Saint Tropez before guests - in town to preview the brand's Cruise 2011 show today - played a rousing game of petanque, is now online. The 17-minute film features Abbey Lee Kershaw as a Jane Birkin lookalike, Freja Beha Erichsen channeling Mick Jagger, and Magdalena Frackowiak emulating Brigitte Bardot.

Lagerfeld, who wrote, directed, and makes a cameo in the film, said Monday: “When I do a film, I see the movie before I’ve made it. I don’t make scripts because it’s written in my head. I like short one-liners.” And Heidi Mount, who plays a party hostess, added: “There’s a script, but it’s basically Karl telling you what he wants. He has the whole thing up in his head.”
