>> Katie Grand Is Wearing Alaia for Her Wedding—Katie Grand just had her bachelorette party a couple of weeks ago in London — she's marrying her boyfriend, Pulp bassist Steve Mackey, who she's been with for over 10 years, despite saying last year that "he doesn't want to get married" — and while counting down the days to her wedding in upstate New York, she spent yesterday morning styling LOVE intern Pixie Geldof in Giles Deacon's Cruise 2010 collection at his East London studio. Katie's engagement ring is Dior Fine Jewelry — she designed it with Victoire de Castellane — and her wedding dress is made-to-measure Azzedine Alaia. [Style.com]

Giles Deacon May Have Spring 2010 London Fashion Week "Presence," Goes with Structure for Cruise 2010
>> Giles Deacon, who was awarded the €160,000 (approx. $225,000) 2009 ANDAM Award earlier this week, has confirmed that he's going to use it to take his Spring 2010 show to Paris this Fall. But in light of the recent efforts by the British Fashion Council to bring British designers back home for its 25th anniversary, Deacon, who is typically a headliner for London Fashion Week, is planning on meeting with BFC executives to try and work out a means of his label having some sort of "presence" at the upcoming LFW: “It’s not perfect timing. I’m heading the other way, but it’s a fantastic opportunity, particularly in these times, and I have to seize it. It’s the chance to take my business to a new level.”
As for his Cruise 2010 collection, the designer went with simple, structured silhouettes in white, shades of gray, pale pink, and black.
>> Giles Deacon to Show in Paris for Spring 2010 —Giles Deacon has just been awarded the 2009 ANDAM Award, the prize that allowed Gareth Pugh to take his show to Paris last year — and will be following in his footsteps. The ANDAM — the largest international fashion prize of its kind at €160,000 (approx. $225,000) — means that Giles will be going against the current of all the designers returning to London Fashion Week for Spring 2010, and taking his show from London to Paris instead. >> INSIDER WIRE —Come February, the eternal who's-got-the-best-fashion-show-invites competition will hit full swing, but for now, it's all about the holiday card. Chanel sent a paper mobile with tiers reading "Chanel wishes you a Happy New Year" in a ten different languages, Manolo Blahnik created a holly shoe drawing just for the occasion, and Giles Deacon mastered the Swarovski-encrusted, Santa-hatted eyeball. Beth Ditto To Grace First Cover of Love?
>> Some of Katie Grand's nearest and dearest — Giles Deacon, Agyness Deyn, Alexander McQueen — came out to the Royal Academy in London last night to celebrate the first-ever party for her new magazine Love. Guests sipped tea and participated in a treasure hunt, but the night's big attention-getter was Beth Ditto — she's rumored to be Love's first cover star. No confirmation yet — but a good space to watch might be the magazine's under-the-radar blog, which so far chronicles the move to a new office, visits to showrooms, and Giles holding scotch eggs over his eyes.

Henry Holland Does Designer Tees — Literally
>> Henry Holland first burst onto the scene back in 2006 when he got Giles Deacon to wear a t-shirt that read "UHU Gareth Pugh" for his runway bow — Gareth reciprocated soon after by wearing Holland's "Get Your Freak on Giles Deacon" shirt.
In the time since, fashion iconograhy has proliferated on t-shirts. Deer Dana launched tees with cartoon renderings of Hamish Bowles, Andre Leon Talley, and Agyness Deyn, and just last week, Diane von Furstenberg graphic designer Chris Sauve launched the "Save Anna" graphic campaign — "take this graphic and make a t-shirt" — after rumors of Wintour's demise.
Holland is finally switching it up from the trademark slogan tees; He's done cartoon renderings of nude John Galliano, Donatella Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, and of course close friend Agyness Deyn — with flowers appropriately placed, Karl's a Chanel camellia. There are more designers involved — Luella Bartley included — and all approved Henry's graphics, which are going on t-shirts, to arrive in stores next year.

Jourdan Dunn, Luella Bartley Win Big at British Fashion Awards
>> Tonight, The British Fashion Council hosted the British Fashion Awards — the British counterpart to the CFDA Awards. Jourdan Dunn stole Agyness Deyn's Model of the Year crown, and looking shocked, managed to accept the award between tears: "My mum would like me to say I'm going to buy her a mansion but she's just going to have to accept this speech instead!" As for Designer of the Year — an honor bestowed on John Galliano and Alexander McQueen four times each — Luella Bartley was the anointed one.
