>> Sally Singer, who was reportedly a contender for the T editor position back before Stefano Tonchi was chosen to launch the magazine in 2003, took the position yesterday, replacing Tonchi and moving on from Vogue, where she had been since 1999.The announcement came a month after the New York Times originally expected to name a replacement — a delay which could be attributed to the fact that according to insiders, Singer vacillated between moving to T and staying at Vogue; for a while there, T's fashion director Anne Christensen was said to have thought in the last few that she had bagged the position.
