Kanye West, Maroon 5 to Perform at This Year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show; Plus, a Few Costume Sketches

>> News is starting to flow about this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which tapes in a little less than a month at Manhattan's 69th Street Armory on Nov. 9.

Today, Kanye West and Maroon 5 were announced as the show's musical guests. Notably, Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine's girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, is confirmed to walk in the show, and West's rumored girlfriend Chanel Iman - who recently closed his debut womenswear show at a day's notice - will also walk as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels.

Speaking of Angels, this year's lineup seems curiously devoid of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, throwing into question whether she will be walking at all - or just walking without wings. Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, and Lindsay Ellingson, however, are all expected.

The show airs on CBS on Nov. 29 at 10/9 CST. A few sketches of this year's costumes, in the slideshow.

Elle Puts Models on Its October 2011 Cover - The First Time in Over Eight Years

>> For the first time in over eight years, Elle has placed a model on its cover. Not just one model, in fact, but rather four: “We felt it was time to show the sexy side of fashion again, enlisting four of the runway’s super seductive models – Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Adriana Lima, and Doutzen Kroes," says editor Robbie Myers. "These covers harken to what made Elle Elle: Shot outside, drenched in sunlight, color, and of course accessories, the women look right back at you with all the personal and sexual confidence in the world.” The four models, who appear on the cover of Elle's October 2011 issue - on newsstands Sept. 20 - were styled by Joe Zee and shot by Alexei Hay. Erin Wasson was the last model to cover Elle, for the magazine's September 2003 issue.

Kroes's rep confirms that she gave birth to son Phyllon this morning, Friday, Jan. 21, in Amsterdam. He weighed in at 8 lbs. "We're in love with him! Can't describe this feeling! Phyllon (pronounce: Fillen) is in our life!" Kroes's husband, Sunnery James, Tweeted

>> Last year's Fashion's Night Out public service announcement featured designers and models, but this year's features the latter exclusively: 14 models, (including Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini, Doutzen Kroes, Liya Kebede, Karolina Kurkova, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Stella Tennant, Lily Donaldson, Sasha Pivovarova, and Jourdan Dunn) filmed by Peter Lindbergh for two days all around New York City.

“This year, it was really about fashion hitting the streets,” Trey Laird, who developed the segment, told WWD. “It was important that all of New York City was represented.” Thus, filming locations included PS 1 in Long Island City, the Bronx Zoo, Central Park, and Lincoln Center. Tabitha Simmons styled the shoot (behind the scenes images here), and the resulting 30-, 15-, and 10-second spots launch on television, in taxi cabs, and online today. From Sept. 3 to 10, they will be shown nine times an hour on the Toshiba screen in Times Square.

Doutzen Kroes Is Pregnant!

>> It seems the pregnancy streak among current and former Victoria's Secret models is not over - 25-year-old Angel Doutzen Kroes announced that she is taking a break from working with the brand, as she is three months pregnant with her first child. The father is DJ Sunnery James, who Kroes has been seeing since August of last year.

Kroes says that as long as she feels physically well, she will continue to model - just last week, she was on set for POP. "Sunnery and I are in the clouds, she told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. "The critical first three months have gone well, and I feel good." She Twittered earlier today in Dutch: "Thank you very much for your congratulations dear people. Now keep that a secret to Americans who get to hear it tomorrow!"

Just look at the covers that have rolled out in the past two days: Miranda Kerr, who scored a Summer i-D cover, is also GQ's June 2010 cover girl, as photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin; Alessandra Ambrosio was captured by Inez and Vinoodh (and styled by Anna Dello Russo) for the July 2010 cover of Vogue Nippon; and Doutzen Kroes takes Vogue Russia's June 2010 cover honors, as lensed by Terry Richardson.
