Cult Beauty Favorite Aesop Is Finally Shoppable Online

>> Fans of Australian beauty brand, Aesop, rejoice. The line - revered for its plant-based ingredients, understated packaging, and aromatic fragrances - is finally easily shoppable stateside via the brand's website, Aesop.com. Available online is the complete product selection - everything from the brand's signature Parsley Seed serums to a New York-themed travel kit
(created in honor of the brand's first US brick-and-mortar location in Nolita) to an APC.-designed fine fabric cleanser.

Also making the site well worth a visit is the brand's NYC Blog, featuring an interactive map curated by Dossier's Skye Parrot. For the project, Parrot tapped 30 in-the-know New Yorkers to share their favorite city locales; jewelry designer Anna Sheffield, Proenza Schouler's art director Alejandro Cardenas, and W's Karin Nelson are among the contributors.

Dossier magazine opened a boutique in Brooklyn which carries products they like and Zac Posen on-offs. ..

The New York Times magazine announced that they will no longer publish fashion spreads, only T Magazine will.

Marc Jacobs is launching a line that features the work of artists with disabilities called Jacobs by Marc Jacobs.

The Fall 2009 collections offered quite a few his and hers looks and for those flying solo there was that priestess thing.

>> The third issue of Dossier with Lou Doillon on the cover doesn't launch until April 12 - launch party tomorrow night - but in the meantime, co-founder Skye Parrott passed along a peek at the innards: an editorial featuring Vanessa Traina in "the best menswear of the season," photographed by Paul Maffi and styled by Keegan Singh, who was just named one of Paper's Beautiful People for 2009 along with Kate Lanphear (who also styled for this issue of Dossier) - apparently they would only consent to do Paper as a duo, featured in the same picture.

The Dossier spread features Eddie Borgo jewelry, which seems to be a trend in Singh-styled editorials - and no wonder, since they live together - Borgo is his boyfriend. Other contents to look forward to within the upcoming Dossier: jewelry designer Pamela Love takes a turn as editorial stylist, and Valentine Fillol-Cordier interviews Charles Anastase.

Pamela Love Tries Her Hand at Styling, Photography for Dossier Magazine

>> Pamela Love has a legion of followers when it comes to her jewelry, but for the Spring 2010 issue of Dossier, she took the day off from being a designer and tries on a couple of different hats. Collaborating with stylist Keegan Singh, Love photographed the editorial below, entitled "We Had a Good Thing, Baby, But It’s Over Now," and featuring Becka Diamond, Laura Kitty Helms, and Sarah Staub. She also styled a portrait of Devendra Banhart for the magazine.

The issue features Daria Werbowy on the cover photographed by Cass Bird, and inside, there's a look at Werbowy in her New York City home.

>> Martin Scorsese Filmed for Chanel Commercial Over Weekend -David Lynch is confirmed to have filmed an installment of Dior's string of commercials featuring ambassador Marion Cotillard in Shanghai, and now it's confirmed that as rumored, Martin Scorsese is working with Chanel. The director shut down a section of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York last Friday, and the owner of Moto, a restaurant in the area (above), confirmed Scorsese was filming a Chanel commercial. UPDATE: French actor Gaspard Ulliel and model Ingrid Schram are starring in the production. Scenes have also been shot underground in the midtown Manhattan subway. [Chic Report]

Double (or Triple) Duty Presentations

Gareth Pugh confirmed that he will be showing a video directed by Ruth Hogben on Sept. 13 to "set the mood for [his] catwalk show that will take place as usual in Paris." After the private showing, he'll screen the short film in public nearby - get your name on the guest list via MAC's Facebook page. [Style File]
Temperley London is taking their interactive Spring 2010 multimedia presentation on the road for the second time, starting in New York Sept. 15 before evolving in format for London Fashion Week and then again in Paris, where it will become an exhibit. The film aspect, plus stills and a behind-the-scenes cut will be readily available online on Temperley's new website.

A spread appeared in New York Times' T Magazine last month, as styled by Marc Jacobs, and this month, the new biannual arts and culture journal Dossier features a spread styled by Zac Posen and photographed by Theo Wenner:

Dossier was founded by Skye Parrott, a fashion photographer and former managing editor of Self Service Magazine, along with writer and childhood friend Katherine Krause after they collaborated on a 2006 story for Lula Magazine and decided to embark on a publication without guidelines, only full of crazy, inspirational projects.
