Delfina Delettrez Fendi's Spring 2011 Collection Includes Kama Sutra Cufflinks

The offerings include hand rings, crocheted necklaces, shirt cuff silver bracelets, and Kama Sutra cufflinks. "I’ve always done the cufflinks," Delettrez Fendi says. "But they were more sweet - like with animals. This time [we did] eyes, Kama Sutra." What might we see from her next? "I have to fly back and think what am I going to do next season! I get inspired by traveling. This opens my mind. When I’m on holiday, I’m more relaxed and more open for things to come . . . I’m thinking of going to San Francisco. Delfina Delettrez Fendi Presents Anatomik at Opening Ceremony

Jen Brill, Sally Singer, Bonnie Morrison, and Fe Fendi joined 22-year-old Fendi family heiress Delfina Delettrez Fendi for the first stateside presentation of her Anatomik jewelry collection at Opening Ceremony last Thursday.

Greatly inspired by Delettrez Fendi's obsession with the anatomy of the human body, the jewelry collection features a cuff shaped like vampire teeth, skull cabochon rings, and diamond encrusted pinky fingers. “I have always been fascinated with the body; I don’t know why,” Delettrez Fendi said. “From the mouth to the feet, it’s very inspiring to me - especially the hands.”

Silver skeleton shaped slave bracelets that mimicked the bone structure of the hand were among the most interesting (and fun to try on) for party-goers. “You have to play with the jewels, Fendi explained. "Now people don’t want to have jewels that are shiny and don’t want to have the big diamonds. They want to have the jewels that seem fake! But you just know it’s real. It seems like a toy.”

The collection, which retails from $450 to $65,000, is available at Opening Ceremony boutiques in New York and Los Angeles.

>> "Love is in the Hair" is the name of Delfina Delettrez's new tress-inspired jewelry collection. Whimsical, yes, but that should be no surprise from a designer known for her witty, surrealistic approach. "Love is in the Hair" has Delettrez revisiting some of her favorite themes - anatomy, memory, nature - resulting in a collection of keepsakes which are both amusing and appealing. Fashioned from unusual materials, the collection is filled with what read like tiny works of art; there are hairpins decorated with lips, heart-shaped resin pendants hanging from studded-leather collars, precious metal and stone "DNA" necklaces, and a miniature metallic purse that dangles from a rose gold ring. See New W Stylist Giovanna Battaglia's Latest Editorial for the Magazine

>> Giovanna Battaglia, who recently moved to New York for "personal reasons," according to a W rep - likely to be closer to her Manhattan-based beau, Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld - has started doing freelance styling for the magazine. She worked with Julia Saner and Jacquelyn Jablonski on an 8-image, color-centric editorial for W's March 2011 issue, and now her contribution to the April 2011 issue - featuring girls-about-town like Shala Monroque, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, and Charlotte Dellal - is out. Battaglia is expected to work more with W in the coming months, according to the magazine's spokesperson, but she hasn't signed a contract.

Fashion's Night Out Will Bring Anna Wintour To Queens, Hamish Bowles To Juicy Couture, and the Olsens To Bartend at Barneys

>> The roster of events for Anna Wintour's international shopping extravaganza on Sept. 10, Fashion's Night Out, has been rolled out, and as Anna put it in the press release: “Little did I think when the idea of Fashion’s Night Out was first dreamed up this past March during the Paris collections that we would have over 700 and counting retailers, designers, and brands joining us on the night of September 10. There is so much planned that we could shop till dawn and still not see and do everything.”

Wintour kicks everything off, along with Michael Kors and "a surprise celebrity guest," at Macy's Queen Center location at 5 pm and will sign t-shirts for the first 50 customers. That event just so happens to be ten minutes away from a US Open tennis match Roger Federer will likely play that same day at 7 pm (and thus Anna will likely attend).
