>> Vogue Australia Erases Abbey Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeil's Nipple Piercings —While British lawmakers are considering banning airbrushing, Vogue Australia made quick use of Photoshop within its 50th anniversary September 2009 issue. Greg Kadel photographed Abbey Lee Kershaw and Catherine McNeil topless for an editorial entitled "Come As You Are," capturing the models with their nipple piercings in plain view, but in the magazine, the jewelry has been erased — Frockwriter has photo evidence. >> We had a few clues as to who made the cut for Terry Richardson's 2010 Pirelli calendar when he shot it last month in Bahia, Brazil, but now Italian Vanity Fair has the details on the full cast, which includes Daisy Lowe, Georgina Stojiljkovic, Eniko Mihalik, Catherine McNeil, Lily Cole, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Miranda Kerr, Ana Beatriz Barros, Gracie Carvalho, Marloes Horst, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Terry produced thousands of images from the shoot with the girls holding sloths, fruit, roosters, and holding hands while running through waves in little else than a bikini bottom. The goal this year was to use "no makeup, no reflectors — only the flash of the camera — no branded clothes or jewelry, no girls altered surgically," said Andrea Imperiali, manager of Pirelli on the set. Fifty images will make the final cut when the calendar is debuted Nov. 19 in London, but until then the gallery below — which is NSFW — and a video of the shoot will have to do.

But he's keeping the ball rolling at Louis Vuitton — yesterday Catherine McNeil was photographed for the Cruise 2010 lookbook in St. Tropez — the location was inspiration for the collection — and she's keeping her job from last year as the face of Vuitton resort: she shoots the new campaign tomorrow.

Pictures have surfaced of Catherine McNeil — who was rumored to have broken off her highly-speculated-but-never-confirmed relationship with Freja Beha Erichsen — kissing openly gay MTV Australia VJ Ruby Rose Langenheim last Saturday at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. Curiously, Myf Shepherd, who just scored her first Vogue cover — for Australia's July 2009 issue — was also photographed kissing Ruby Rose at the Jimmy Liks restaurant in Sydney at the beginning of this month. Both Catherine and Myf are represented by Chic Management in Australia; Ruby Rose has been represented by the agency in the past. [ONTD_FF]

>> Yesterday we learned that Catherine McNeil was recently down in Brazil shooting the 2010 Pirelli calendar with Terry Richardson along with Ana Beatriz Barros, Gracie Carvalho, and Georgina Stojiljkovic.
Today, photographer JD Ferguson posted an impromptu interview with Catherine, who just got back from Brazil, where she said she "smoked and chilled" with a girl named Daisy, "and then it was my turn on set." Catherine calls the shoot, "Amazing. Best job I've ever done," and implies that a girl named Abbey was also there. So does this mean Daisy Lowe and Abbey Lee Kershaw were also in town for the Pirelli shoot?
While you're pondering that, Catherine also talked raw veganism — she just converted six weeks ago — and tattoos — she was "embarrassed to say" how many she has, but finally admitted she has 14:
I'm getting a new tattoo. I'm putting it right here, and it's all these arrows that point in the same direction up this way and it signifies law of attraction. I'm getting it in white. [Getting tattoos] is about bringing good energy into my life. They're addictive. Like seriously addictive. Plus, all mine are hidden so it's not a problem anyways.

Here's another tidbit for McBeha conspiracists — Freja talking in the February 2009 i-D about her unnamed "love": "My love means the world to me! We have a very special bond of understanding, friendship, and love, and I'm grateful to have such a beautiful person in my life to share the little and the bigs things with. Mummy-wrapped shoes, rose petals covering both the runway and a print on two strappy bondage gowns, and a continued interest in chains, carried over from Fall 2008 ready-to-wear, carried forward the evolution of Riccardo Tisci's romantic gothic branding at the house. And those veils — interestingly enough, the majority of Givenchy couture customers are based in the Middle East — so perhaps the head coverings were a nod to those ladies? Catherine McNeil showed up sans the crutches than she was sporting earlier this month; All that was missing were two of the house's current faces — Mariacarla Boscono, Lakshmi Menon, where are you?
