Preview Karl Lagerfeld's Pirelli 2011 Calendar with Erin Wasson, Baptiste Giabiconi, and More (NSFW)

>> For the 2011 Pirelli calendar, which launched in Moscow today, Karl Lagerfeld said that he produced “the visual version of Homer. I did with my camera what he did with his pen, although we understand that he probably didn't use a pen.” Lagerfeld gathered 15 female models, 5 male models, and Julianne Moore in his Paris studio back in April to produce 36 black and white images of deities from ancient Greece and Rome for the calendar. “I wanted to do something different. I looked at all the other calendars,” he explained, adding: “With such a concept and boys and girls like this, it was an easy job.”

Lagerfeld was surrounded by a cadre of the models featured for the Moscow launch, including Natasha Poly sporting a new brunette hair color. But who did he cast as whom? Julianne Moore plays Hera, Brad Kroenig poses as Zeus, Lara Stone gives her best Aphrodite, Jeneil Williams channels Hades, and Baptiste Giabiconi embodies the roles of both Narcissus and Apollo.

The rest of the cast includes: Bianca Balti (as a Bacchante), Elisa Sednaoui (Flora, Echo), Freja Beha Erichsen (Apollo, Pollux, Orpheus), Isabeli Fontana (a Bacchante), Magdalena Frackowiak (Athena, Estia), Anja Rubik (Hermes, Terpsichore), Abbey Lee Kershaw (Echo, Castor, Eurydice), Lakshmi Menon (a Bacchante), Heidi Mount (Aurora, Amphitrite), Erin Wasson (Ajax, a Bacchante), Natasha Poly (Melpomene), Daria Werbowy (Artemis, Penthesilea), Iris Strubegger (Athena), Sebastien Jondeau (Mars), Garret Neff (Bacchus), and Jake Davis (Achilles).

First Look - The Karl Lagerfeld-Lensed Pirelli 2011 Calendar

>> Karl Lagerfeld shot the 2011 Pirelli calendar way back in April at his Paris studio, and although it won't be unveiled until Nov. 30 in Moscow, until now, no imagery has leaked. The calendar is inspired by gods of Greek and Roman mythology this year, and the first outtake has popped up, showing Isabeli Fontana, Garrett Neff, and Bianca Balti as "Bacchus with Two Bacchantes." Also included in the 2011 cast are Heidi Mount, Natasha Poly, Magdalena Frackowiak, two to three more male models, plus Elisa Sednaoui, who recently said she will be joining Lagerfeld for the Moscow unveiling. Roberto Cavalli Admits He's Not the Party Animal He Used to Be at His $2 Million 40th Anniversary Bash

>> Roberto Cavalli reportedly spent about $2 million on his 40th anniversary bash held last night at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris - and that doesn't include the budget allotted to bringing Natalia Vodianova (and perhaps some of the other 1,200 attendees) to the party. As the New York Times's Eric Wilson wrote: "It was one of those fashion parties that felt like another era, when it was possible to enjoy such extravagance without wondering how a designer could possibly be selling enough animal-printed evening gowns and exuberantly distressed denim to afford it all."

Kylie Minogue performed, the walls were lined with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott's images of models in Cavalli, and Heidi Klum introduced the designer as a four-tier, 10-foot birthday cake covered in sparklers was wheeled onto the stage. But even through all that, Cavalli, almost 70, admitted he's not the party animal he used to be: “Don’t say it, don’t say it, please, because the people should still dream with me,” he said. “The young should think that, instead of sparkling water, I drink Krug, or that I still smoke 10 Cuban cigars every day.”

>> 2011 Pirelli Calendar Cast Revealed -Karl Lagerfeld, who is photographing the 2011 Pirelli calendar, said he envisioned the images set in studio rather than against the usual beach scenery. He's reportedly shooting the calendar in Paris this week, and Isabeli Fontana posted pictures on Twitter (which she has since removed) from the set of herself with Heidi Mount, Natasha Poly, Magdalena Frackowiak, and Bianca Balti; Lara Stone and Julianne Moore are also rumored to be part of the cast. Miuccia Prada Flies Victoria's Secret Models in for Demure Fall 2010 Prada Show

>> A casting surprise was promised, and Miuccia Prada delivered: Victoria's Secret regulars like Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Bianca Balti all walked the labyrinthine runway - perhaps as a one-up to Givenchy, who cast Adriana Lima, and Balenciaga, who cast Kerr, in recent seasons. Also populating the Fall 2010 Prada cast: Lara Stone, Catherine McNeil in her first runway turn since a year ago, Mariacarla Boscono, Rose Cordero, and opener and closer Samantha Gradoville.

The show was preceded by cartoons portraying feminine cliches like "He loves me, he loves me not" while front rowers complained about the anchovy canapes handed out, but once the show started, it was all beehive hairdos, cat-eye librarian glasses, and A-line skirts in muted tones and vinyl-like finishes. Busts were enhanced with rows of ruffles and strategically placed darts, while knee-high pleated socks were finished off with pointy-toed patent pumps. A slow jazz soundtrack played, and the whole look - cable knit sweaters, sketchy plaid - earned a chorus of Mad Men comparisons. Apparently, when asked backstage, however, Miuccia said she had never seen the TV show. A video of the Prada show can be seen here.

Marco Zanini Finds Inspiration for Rochas Fall 2010 in '60s Goldie Hawn Movie Cactus Flower

>> Bianca Balti opened in what turned out to be a very '60s-drawn Rochas collection by Marco Zanini. Teased flippy hair, shift dresses, exaggerated pointy collars, and acid hues were punctuated by leopard print and gold lame on bags and the elbow shields of cardigans. Zanini said he was inspired by a Goldie Hawn movie, Cactus Flower - perhaps explaining the floral bow motif carrying throughout. The finale, a crowd of models showered in a psychedelic mix of colored lights.
