Kanye West, Maroon 5 to Perform at This Year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show; Plus, a Few Costume Sketches

>> News is starting to flow about this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which tapes in a little less than a month at Manhattan's 69th Street Armory on Nov. 9.

Today, Kanye West and Maroon 5 were announced as the show's musical guests. Notably, Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine's girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, is confirmed to walk in the show, and West's rumored girlfriend Chanel Iman - who recently closed his debut womenswear show at a day's notice - will also walk as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels.

Speaking of Angels, this year's lineup seems curiously devoid of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, throwing into question whether she will be walking at all - or just walking without wings. Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, and Lindsay Ellingson, however, are all expected.

2010 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Casting Video; Plus - Who's Confirmed So Far (Karolina Kurkova Is!)

>> With the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show taping a week away, fittings are well under way - Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Behati Prinsloo were snapped going to theirs yesterday, and Chanel Iman was there, too. She tweeted yesterday: "All day prep for Victoria Secret Show and most exciting FITTING!!! Keeping everything a Secret!!SSSSHHHH......!! ;)" Today, Lily Aldridge was on deck, and Izabel Goulart, too, has stopped in - apparently she's getting wings this year, and cried at her fitting when she found out.

A video of the show's castings has popped up (above) - hopefuls Hana Soukupova and Shannan Click are among those shown - and Monica Mitro, who has been casting the show for 16 years, since its inception, says, "It's really difficult because we see a lot of great girls … they come in here in their bras and panties, and normally that's not the way castings go, but we have to see how everything looks together … they literally have to be perfect."

Those deemed perfect so far? Besides those mentioned above, Flavia de Oliveira, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Liu Wen, Anja Rubik, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Isabeli Fontana, Lindsay Ellingson, Jessica Stam, Emanuela de Paula, Maryna Linchuk, Magdalena Frackowiak, Edita Vilkeviciute, and as rumored, Karolina Kurkova, are all expected.

Coco Rocha's Wedding Day Video!

>> The full Zac Posen wedding gown photo Coco Rocha posted on her blog last week has been quickly trumped by the two intimate wedding day films she posted over the weekend. "Once I saw these films I realized that though personal, they were too beautiful to keep to myself," she wrote. Set on a June day in a French castle - the Chateau Challain - and to music befit of an epic film, Rocha's wedding to James Conran is captured, complete with gown twirl shots and vow voiceovers.

>> Behati Prinsloo Gives Details on Coco Rocha's Wedding -While no pictures have surfaced yet from Coco Rocha's wedding last week to interior designer James Conran, Behati Prinsloo, Rocha's close friend, let slip a few details about the ceremony, which took place at the same French castle in which Conran proposed. The ceremony was small - only 50 people attended - and Rocha wore a Zac Posen gown. “It was tight over her body all the way to her knees, then it had this extreme mermaid tail at the bottom," Prinsloo explained. "The straps were off the shoulder, and the material looked vintage - it’s sort of hard to explain, you have to see it . . . It was unbelievable. When I saw her, I wanted to cry. >> Behati Prinsloo Collaborates with Victoria's Secret PINK on Line of Swimwear -This week, Namibian model Behati Prinsloo, who has been the face of Victoria's Secret PINK since early 2008, is launching a line of swimwear for the brand, inspired by the landscape and lifestyle of her home in Africa. The collection, dubbed Behati Loves PINK, will be available in 15 Victoria's Secret stores and is print-heavy. According to Behati: "My favorite suits are the one-piece black-and-white one, the tiger one, and the checkered one! I love all the cover ups - I dont know which one to choose! 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Unveiled: Anja Rubik, Chanel Iman, and Anna Jagodzinska Work It

>> Abbey Lee Kershaw wasn't feeling well backstage, neither was Eniko Mihalik, but they pulled it together to walk in the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which taped today in New York City - on a big, sparkly V-shaped runway - and will air on CBS Dec. 1. Many of the girls chatted about what they had for breakfast - coffee and fruit for many - but Anja Rubik, who was convinced to walk the show for the first time by good friends (and fellow walkers) Mayna Linchuk and Caroline Trentini, admitted: "I've decided this will be my starving day today."

This year's big surprise? Heidi Klum decided to walk for the twelfth show in a row, after all, six weeks after giving birth to her fourth child. Adriana Lima, on the other hand, who gave birth Sunday, sat this one out; Emanuela de Paula and Flavia Oliveira, rumored to walk, were also nowhere to be seen.

The show features five sections of twelve outfits each - this year's themes are Star Trooper, All Aboard, Pink Planet, Enchanted Forest, and Romantic Journey. As show stylist Charlotte Stockdale explains it: “We came up with the idea of this girl who lands from outer space in Paris. She gets on a train that comes to a halt in Pinkland, where pink girls get on and off. Then they go into this fairy-tale forest and little lady bugs and butterflies land on them and vines grow up on their clothes. Then, there’s Tick-Tock Time; the wings in this section are based on clocks - there’s one modeled after a pocket watch with metallic feathers. And she ends up in this regal realm of princess-ness, where the wings have Swarovski jewels and peacock feathers.”

Zac Posen, Alexander Wang, Carine Roitfeld (in Tom Ford for Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2002), and Patrick Demarchelier were all in attendance, and Chanel Iman tossed her handbag into the audience as she walked.

A Peek Backstage at the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

>> The likes of Chanel Iman and Dorothea Barth Jorgensen are already getting primped and prepped for the two tapings of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show this afternoon - final cut airs Dec. 1 on CBS - but it seems like mood is light. When Caroline Trentini was asked for a photo backstage, she joked, "Sure! Want me to jump?"

Chanel Iman, meanwhile, prepared for her first Victoria's Secret catwalk by chatting with mentor Tyra Banks and doing a little research. “This might sound corny, but I went on YouTube and I did my homework by going and seeing the different years that Victoria’s Secret has had, the different shows and who did Victoria’s Secret, and studied their walks so that I can turn mine different from everyone else’s!”

Erin Wasson Brings RVCA Party to the Tents for Spring 2010

>> Erin Wasson, who dropped by Charlotte Ronson just hours before her own RVCA show, brought the party to the Tents with a little live performance by Gang Gang Dance while a movie shot in the California desert played above them on a big screen, reflecting the show's inspiration. Behati Prinsloo and boyfriend Jamie Strachan were front row, as were Bruce Willis and his wife Emma Heming; the runway for Erin's first catwalk show got underway fashionably late - almost an hour after the scheduled time.

She told the Huffington Post of her move from presentation to the biggest Tent: "I was given a wonderful opportunity to be here. I did have doubts though. Was it too much too soon? Who am I to think that I belong here? It was very humbling. It was a very hard decision to make but when life hands me an opportunity I'm always up for the challenge. Go big, and go home!" As for her appearance as a party girl in Sofia Coppola's upcoming movie Somewhere: "[It's] half a second. If you blink you're going to miss me. I have no speaking lines."

Paul Rowland Snaps 19 Models for Witchy 96-Page V Supplement

>> The 96-page September issue insert The Imagist teased back in June turned out to be for V: Paul Rowland, founder of Women and Supreme agencies, photographed 19 of his models in studio back in April with help from stylist Nicholas Grasa. His inspirations were "Joel-Peter Witkin, paganism, mysticism, vampires, witches - all the things I love," and V has a video of the shoot in action, which required Hannelore Knuts to have raw meat draped over her chest and the rope holding it together lit on fire on both ends. The supplement will be available with V61 in select cities.

Maybe this whole project is the start of a move into a new arena for Rowland? As V puts it: "Rowland, whose lavish and intricate agency show packages are the talk of the industry each season, has a creative verve that extends beyond model agency moving and shaking, and into photography and fine art. After this outing, however, he might need his own magazine as well."
