Mulberry's Glastonbury Book Launch Brings Out Models Galore

Last night's Mulberry-sponsored party celebrating the launch of Venetia Dearden's book Glastonbury, Another Stage at Milk Studios's penthouse was chock-full of statuesque revelers, though two models in particular seemed to steer clear of each other. Agyness Deyn stayed ensconced with a group of friends, while on the other side of the bash her ex-fiance Albert Hammond, Jr. held hands - possibly in a friendly way? - with Irina Lazareanu. Elsewhere, Alek Wek and Jacquelyn Jablonski mingled near Chanel Iman and her boyfriend Ryan Leslie. Leigh Lezark and Michelle Trachtenberg arrived together and stayed attached at the hip throughout the night. In the spirit of Venetia's publication, the event was complete with an indoor teepee and there was music aplenty. Brooklyn's Chairlift was the main attraction, with London socialite Jackson Scott's flamenco guitar act Mano de Dios as the opener.

Something seems fishy, since Vogue just featured the couple in their February 2009 issue - the intro paragraph to the spread identifies Hammond, Jr. as her fiance, and quotes Albert saying, "We had been dating a month or two when she asked me to move in with her. I would've done anything she wanted the night we met." Maybe they've decided to take some space? >> It seems like Agyness Deyn hasn't been as ubiquitous lately, but she did show up with fiance Albert Hammond, Jr. to DJ The Humane Society's Cool vs. Cruel ceremony, honoring those committed to fur-free fashion. Aggy's never been outspoken about her furry feelings, but last night, they were made pretty clear by the anti-fur heart sticker on her top.

She must have had a quick change of heart - she's worn plenty of fur on the runways, and just two days before the event, she wore what appears to be a fur jacket to another event. And she's donned fur of her own volition before, sporting it to the Purple Magazine Party in Feb. 2007.

Agyness Deyn was photographed mid-smooch, confirming speculation that she has moved on from ex-fiance Albert Hammond, Jr. with Phantom Planet's Alex Greenwald and cementing her status as another British model with a thing for musicians.

Henry Holland, in town to pal around with Agy and see the shows, spotted Hedi Slimane "wandering around with a camera in all black." Yesterday morning, Slimane was still in town, scouting and taking breakfast at the newly-opened Ace Hotel in nearby Palm Springs. Also going down at the Ace over the weekend, a New York Times fashion shoot with photographer Sebastian Kim, which must be for an upcoming T magazine.

Alexander Wang, in LA to launch his shop-in-shop for Opening Ceremony that will feature exclusive merchandise involving fur and exotic skins starting in the Fall, hit Coachella in a Land Rover with Zoe Kravitz; Jeremy Scott and Daisy Lowe also made festival appearances.
