Abbey Lee Kershaw Fronts the New Gucci, Jerry Hall Returns to the Catwalk, and Kate Moss Is Not Into Twitter

Abbey Lee Kershaw is the face of a new set of Gucci fragrances. The fragrances launch this March and all have names that start with "G" - Gorgeous Gardenia, Gracious Tuberose, Glamorous Magnolia, Generous Violet, Glorious Mandarin - "because of Gucci, of course," explains the brand's creative director, Frida Giannini. Jerry Hall returned to the catwalk this week to walk Jean Luc Amsler's couture show in Paris. The 55-year-old wasn't the only older model to grace the couture runways; Yasmin Le Bon, 47, walked Stéphane Rolland's show wearing a 110-pound dress. [Telegraph]

Kate Moss says she is not joining Twitter anytime soon. "I just don't understand it. I don't get it at all." [Styleite]

The first episode of The Fashion Fund - a web miniseries about the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition - premiered yesterday on Hulu. In it, Anna Wintour criticizes candidates' submissions, saying things like, "Well, this is just generic," and "I mean, it’s fine, it’s not offensive." The Cut

Behind the Scenes With Abbey Lee Kershaw at the Versace For H&M Cruise 2012 Campaign Shoot

>> Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Versace for H&M Cruise 2012 ad campaign. Reportedly shot over 24 hours, the images show a glammed-up Abbey Lee Kershaw - complete with '50s-era coif and red lipstick - lounging poolside with fellow Versace for H&M veteran River Viiperi. The collection doesn't hit stores in Europe and the UK until Jan. 19 - and won't be available in the US at all - and official campaign images are yet to be released, but click through to get a peek at what's to come.

Versace and H&M Go Big For Collaboration Runway Extravaganza

>> In honor of their upcoming Versace For H&M collaboration - in stores and online Nov. 17 - the two brands pulled together three events in one last night at New York's Pier 57. Through a gilded hall of mirrors, designers (Anna Sui, Joseph Altuzarra, Christopher Kane), supermodels (Linda Evangelista, Helena Christensen), and other such notables (Uma Thurman, Chloe Moretz, Nicki Minaj, Prince) were swept into a dark room framing a serpentine catwalk, on which Versace favorites like Abbey Lee Kershaw, Natasha Poly, Lindsey Wixson, and Daphne Groeneveld wore black leather headscarves, heavy kohl, and stomped to speaker-pumping music.

Cue the next: After her runway bow, Donatella Versace gestured guests to follow her into a green-lit, disco ball-hung room covered in oversized palm tree wallpaper. Minaj took the mic - dressed in Versace for H&M, of course - and inspired Alexander Wang to sing along in the audience to every song. Much to Donatella's pleasure - and Natasha Poly's, who sat on the shoulders of a friend so she could videotape the set on her phone - Prince was up next on stage. Versace fist-pumped when Prince gave her a shout-out, clapped above her head . . . and that was before his encore of "Purple Rain."

Finally, the last of the three-prong event: crowds that had been lining up before Prince even took the stage were unleashed into the shopping area. As Style.com notes, "Many of the women in the crowd made beelines for the collection's men's clothes."

Priced from $172 (for tops) to $1,300 (for eveningwear), the collection is much more accessibly-priced than the main line - a Balmain T-shirt costs around $1,500 - and includes clothing for both men and women. Also accompanying the launch of the collection is a third - and final - Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin-directed video, which features a grunged-up Abbey Lee Kershaw on the run around Manhattan with her band, Our Mountain. >> In anticipation of the Pierre Balmain diffusion line's launch on Sunday, Balmain has released the first of three videos featuring Abbey Lee Kershaw, her boyfriend, Matthew Hutchinson, and their band, Our Mountain. Directed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the video follows the band around New York City - set to their single, "Devils Banquet" - and gives peeks at the cropped jeans and zebra print tops that populate Pierre Balmain's debut Spring 2012 collection. The second video, focusing on Hutchinson in the line's menswear, will be released on Friday on the Pierre Balmain Tumblr, followed by the full-length version of the video next Monday, Oct. 3.

>> Instead of hiring a professional photographer to shoot their ad campaign, Marcus Wainwright and David Neville handed Abbey Lee Kershaw, Edita Vilkeviciute, Sasha Pivovarova, and Lily Aldridge a digital camera and asked them to take pictures of themselves in Rag & Bone clothes - with full creative freedom. “We have always been very inspired by the girls who do the show,” said Wainwright. “Rather than do what every other brand does and have a high-end photographer take very polished shots, we thought, ‘Let’s flip it on its head to get the girls to take over.’ We wanted it to be very real.”

Wainwright and Neville are hoping the guerrilla ad campaign, which included plastering more than 1,000 posters on walls and against deli boards below 14th St. in NYC, will lure fans to their new e-commerce site, which features social networking elements such as a blog and videos. The duo also enlisted Elettra Wiedemann, Details magazine’s Eugene Tong, Marie Claire’s Taylor Tomasi Hill, V’s Jay Massacret, Julia Frakes of Bunny Bisous, and Sean Sullivan of The Impossible Cool to submit their own images for the site, which will be showcased later in a gallery. “It’s about real people and real clothes, clothes that we want people to wear and feel good in,” said Neville.
