>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —A couple of days after our first, albeit obscured, look at Stella Tennant for Marc Jacobs Fall 2008 comes another shot — and we can actually see her face! No sign of her campaign mate Kirsten Owen yet . . . [DNA Models]
>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Award for the most amazing campaign shot so far this Fall 2008 season: Suvi Koponen for Calvin Klein. The first image released isn't nearly as striking, but the campaign was styled by Camilla Nickerson and Karl Templer and promises to be "graphic," so here's hoping for more stunners. [Supreme Being]

Vanessa Paradis Takes a Dive into the Concrete Jungle for Miu Miu Fall 2008
>> "VP" may stand for Vanessa Paradis, but it also brings "very prosaic" to mind when it comes to the Fall 2008 Miu Miu ads. The stop signs and road lines are themes that Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have visited many times before. Plus, the set-up and juicy colors are very similar to their branding season after season of the Louis Vuitton campaign.
That said, I like the frizzy hair, 70s-inspired heavy blush, and super-bright colors — they assimilate those insane scuba-inspired Miu Miu clothes well.

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Following up a season of flailing legs and boxed-up Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs is back with the models for Fall 2008. The full campaign features both Kirsten Owen and Stella Tennant, but in this first look, you wouldn't even know it was Stella, her head is so obscured. [TFS]
Stone-Cold Lara, Natasha Poly Come Clean for Jil Sander Fall 2008
>> All of you who give Lara Stone grief about flaunting her assets in editorials, these are for you. No top shelf visible here: She's all buttoned up in tweedy sheaths and wooly funnel-necked dresses for the Fall 2008 Jil Sander campaign. Natasha Poly joins her in the Willy Vanderperre-lensed mood-fest, but it's Lara's emotive emergence from the shadows that really does it for me.

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Fresh on the tail of the news that the model of the future is with personality, Ali Michael may just be the one to fit the bill — she's got public speaking down pat, anyway. First Sportmax, now Anna Sui with Agnete Hegelund: her Fall 2008 campaign bill of health is definitely clean. [TFS]
Iselin Steiro, Kinga Rajzak Give Fall 2008 Missoni Their Prints
>> Iselin Steiro may have put her modeling career on hold for a degree in architecture, but that doesn't mean she can't still nab a top campaign or two. In fact, she's appearing in both the Mulberry and Missoni Fall campaigns.
For Missoni, Iselin joins goth girl Kinga Rajzak and Mathias Lauridsen in a set of images inspired by the Bernardo Bertolucci film, The Conformist, because the movie's visual patterns and textures fits well with the Missoni aesthetic.
The use of prints and color scheme in these ads are very in tune with Missoni's brand, but I'm not sure the sterile, stationary feel of the models is; Missoni always seems much more lively and dynamic than frigid to me.

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —After speaking out about the pressures of modeling on The Today Show, many said Ali Michael would disappear from the industry. Here she is, in the Sportmax Fall 2008 campaign — it's not blue chip, but it's something. Apparently she's in New York right now, which only mean one thing: more potential work. [Fashionista, TFS]
>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Carrying on her reign at Giorgio Armani —she appeared in the brand's Pre-Fall 2008 ads — Du Juan is joined by Jessica Stam in a dark, blunt crop for Fall 2008. The dark, moody photos were shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, but look very inspired by Paolo Roversi, rather than like their normal crisp, color-saturated fare. [TFS]

Natalia Vodianova, Isabeli Fontana Tango for Versace
>> A little show of skin here, a little handbag there . . . that's what Versace's Fall 2008 ads are made of. Shot in Manhattan by Mario Testino, the images portray Natalia Vodianova and Isabeli Fontana flaunting color-coordinating outfits . . . that is, when they're wearing clothes. The set is pretty typical glossy Versace, but I do like the up-close-and-personal handbag shots.
