“I am always on the lookout for the next Versace blonde . . . and in January I feel I have found a perfect Versace woman for the 21st century,” said Versace. “She is chic and elegant but deeply sensual too.” Mario Testino shot the black and white images in London, with Jones's hair and makeup referencing her role in the '60s-era Mad Men.

Alexander Wang Launches First Ad Campaign, To Collaborate with Gaia Repossi on Jewelry

>> On Monday, Alexander Wang is launching his first ad campaign — but it won't be found in magazines.  Instead, posters featuring Hannah Holman photographed by Daniel Jackson and celebrating Wang's Spring 2010 T collection, which hits his e-commerce site that day, will be plastered all over downtown Manhattan.

They will be replenished once a week for four weeks. “The [images] were originally only supposed to be posters we were going to send to editors and stores,” said Wang. “But I felt the energy was much more appropriate for something like guerrilla marketing than anything too proper or formal. Because T is really the core foundation of what Alexander Wang stands for, I thought it should be something that could be much more democratic.”

He's also got a jewelry collaboration in the works »

Alexander McQueen

>> Raquel Zimmermann, 30 Snakes the Faces of Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 —As the New York Times noted yesterday, a number of Spring 2010 ads feature models lying down on the job — among them, Georgia May Jagger for Versace, Monika "Jac" Jagaciak for Calvin Klein, Lara Stone for Louis Vuitton.  Well, add one more to the mix: Nick Knight shot Raquel Zimmermann wrapped in more than 30 snakes for Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 campaign — and you guessed it: she's lying down.

Dree Hemingway Dabbles in Acting

>> Dree Hemingway scored three top campaigns for the Spring 2010 season — Gianfranco Ferre, Valentino, and Jean Paul Gaultier (styled by Carine Roitfeld), natch.  But perhaps less known is that for every one of those only-girl campaigns, she also wrapped three small film parts last year. Her acting portfolio now includes a bit part in My Suicide, a "teen coming-of-age romantic dramedy about a media-obsessed geek and the most beautiful and twisted girl in school," in which she plays "Christian Girl #2."

Her acting portfolio now includes a bit part in My Suicide, a "teen coming-of-age romantic dramedy about a media-obsessed geek and the most beautiful and twisted girl in school," in which she plays "Christian Girl #2." The movie, out in the United States Feb. 1, features mom Mariel Hemingway in one of the main roles.  She also plays "School Girl #1" in Privileged, starring Twilight's Nikki Reed.  Her largest role, as "Kristi," comes in The Truth About Angels, about "an ordinary guy [who] escapes his turbulent home life when he is invited to an exclusive Hollywood party by his movie star friend, only to discover that there's more to the glamorous world than meets the eye."

Miu Miu

>> First Look: Lindsay Wixson for Miu Miu Spring 2010 —Miucca Prada broke the pattern last season, casting a bevy of models for the Fall 2009 Miu MIu campaign after seasons and seasons of stars and starlets.  For Spring 2010, she stuck with models again, albeit just one — the polarizing, beestung-lipped Lindsey Wixson, who closed the Miu Miu show and was captured for the campaign in London last month.

As Models.com noted, "Jac is the only girl since Natalia Vodianova to book CK two times in a row. Could Ms. Jagaciak eventually become another iconic CK face right up there with Brooke Shields and Kate Moss?"  Natalia Vodianova last appeared in the Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2007 campaign.

Gucci Campaign Favorite Natasha Poly Renews Contract with Brand for 2010

>> Natasha Poly may bend over backwards for Gucci — see her Spring 2010 campaign for the brand, below — but it seems to be working in her favor.

>> Natasha Poly may bend over backwards for Gucci — see her Spring 2010 campaign for the brand, below — but it seems to be working in her favor.  The brand switched from working with Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin after several seasons to Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for Spring 2010.  As for Poly, who has consistently been in Gucci campaigns since the Spring 2005 season, she won't be going anywhere — Gucci has already renewed her contract again this year.

Celine, Prada Go For Headless Model Look with Spring 2010 Ad Campaigns

>> The trend of using uniform, indistinguishable models has been taken one step further this season: a couple of prominent brands have chosen to crop their models' heads out of ads, eluding any recognizability.

>> The trend of using uniform, indistinguishable models has been taken one step further this season: a couple of prominent brands have chosen to crop their models' heads out of ads, eluding any recognizability. Two out of three Prada Spring 2010 ads out so far show a model, the upper half of her head lopped out of the picture, with bag swung over her shoulder; the third ad finally shows her full face, revealing her to be Rasa Zukauskaite. And in Phoebe Philo's first campaign for Celine, shot by Juergen Teller, the first photo out includes four bodies, but no heads or feet at all.  Perhaps further down the line the faces of Lisanne de Jong, Carmen Kass, Jacquelyn Jablonski, and Valerija Kelava — all said to be Celine Spring 2010 faces — will be revealed?
