>> Christophe Lemaire Hints That His Hermes Collections Won't Make Women Look Like "Luxury Prostitutes" —Christophe Lemaire has yet to debut a collection for Hermes — and it won't come until the Fall 2011 season — but he has offered a hint in the direction he'll be going: he loves "real quality, timelessness, simplicity, and classicism . . . Until very recently, high-fashion women were like luxury prostitutes. Now there is a need for a more authentic and dignified style . . . I think being transgressive today is being classical. To pretend to dress as a punk and take cocaine and have sex orgies has just become common now — there's nothing transgressive about that. The fashion pages, like Purple magazine, are just a joke." >> The Karl Lagerfeld-Baptiste Giabiconi collaborations keep rolling in: In the new Purple Fashion, Karl captured his male Gisele Bundchen in black stiletto heels as the Helmut Newton woman (left) — including one full-on backside shot (NSFW) that has created quite a stir.  Purple founder Olivier Zahm posted a video of the shoot, in which Baptiste poses with a giraffe while Karl switches from snapping him with a professional camera to with a camera phone.

Lagerfeld was also asked to guest edit a cover and editorial for the October 2009 issue of Wallpaper. For his cover, Lagerfeld photographed a seemingly Dior Homme-clothed Baptiste, but he added a layer of paper to the magazine which can be peeled off to reveal Giabiconi naked. His 27-page editorial inside also focuses on Baptiste — in locales such as the Queen’s Theater in Versailles.

>> Dree Hemingway Said to Be Already Booked for Calvin Klein Spring 2010, Is Featured in Purple's "Naked" Series —After walking solely in Givenchy last season, Dree Hemingway reportedly already has a spot on the Spring 2010 Calvin Klein runway — no world on whether it's an exclusive, but regardless, Calvin Klein is the New York show which generally sets the bar, model casting-wise, for the rest of Fashion Month.  Dree is also the newest participant (in the past, it's been Chloe Sevigny, Angela Lindvall, Shalom Harlow) in the "Purple Naked" series, captured by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for Purple Fashion #12 — The Imagist has a peek.  And if you're dying to see the result of that Purple shoot by Paola Kudacki with Suvi Koponen and Hanne-Gaby Odiele, Models.com has the final cut (NSFW). >> Suvi Kopenen Hangs, Flips for Purple Fashion —You hear about models having to hold awkward positions for hours during a photoshoot, but here's some video evidence, straight from the set of the upcoming Purple Fashion (#12, Fall/Winter 2009).  Suvi Kuponen hangs over Hanne-Gaby Odiele from the ceiling by her feet, a swing across her chest, and for every shot Paola Kudacki takes, she has to hang her head and then flip it upwards. >> There's no doubt that Baptiste Giabiconi has become a regular in the Karl Lagerfeld entourage, and Karl seems to be especially enamored with capturing him wearing women's shoes and clothing. In the March 2009 issue of Vogue Paris, it was a Chanel tweed jacket, necklace, and heels; in the July 2009 issue of Vogue Nippon, it was a Chanel couture jacket in one photo and a Chanel couture dress in another; and now, for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2009 issue of Purple Fashion, Baptiste posed for Karl in nothing but a pair of heels.   

>> Olivier Zahm Teases Upcoming Purple Fashion #12 —Olivier Zahm took the upcoming issue of Purple Fashion — out in September — to the printers' today and gave us a peek at Terry Richardson's "Best of the Season" editorial that was photographed at Milk Studios in June.  In the past couple of months, Zahm has offered a number of teasers on the issue: a Gareth Pugh spotlight editorial styled by Francesca Burns, a nude pictorial captured by Mario Sorrenti, a Venice shoot with Baptiste Giabiconi by Karl Lagerfeld, and a set by Paola Kudaki. >> INSIDER WIRE —Freelance stylist (Another Magazine, Elle, Lula, Purple and APC among her recent clients) Camille Bidault-Waddington and former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker have split after six years of marriage and are "still on amicable terms," according to Cocker.  Rumors of estrangement have been circulating for some time, as neither has been spotted wearing their wedding ring recently; and last September, Bidault-Waddington and Olivier Zahm "played tongue hockey" during a Purple party.  The two have a six-year-old son together. >> INSIDER WIRE —Olivier Zahm revealed this weekend that in the next issue of Purple magazine, artist Dash Snow will pull a Vincent Gallo and wear women's clothes from the Fall 2008 collections.  Zahm himself is also working on a magazine for Chanel to accompany their Mobile Art project because he's "good at doing magazines."
