Bally

Bally Sticks With Christy Turlington for Fall 2009 Ad Campaign

>> For Fall 2009, Bally stuck with the same team as Spring 2009 — Mario Sorrenti photographing Christy Turlington and Oriol Elcacho, this time styled by Lori Goldstein in a darker, more sophisticated light — because as Creative Director Brian Atwood put it, "For me Christy is simply the perfect Bally woman; graceful, intelligent, and natural; she exudes a sophisticated ease; her sensual beauty is perfectly complimented by Oriol's strong and confident presence.

If rumors are to be believed, he'll be sharing Christy with Yves Saint Laurent this season, because Stefano Pilati thought she was the consummate YSL woman.

Prada

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —The first photo from Prada's Fall 2009 campaign has leaked, and instead of horses involved as previously reported, the setting is four girls — Prada favorite Ymre Stiekema, Katlin Aas, Julia Hafstrom, and Kendra Spears, who is said to be the main focus — in a boat, surrounded by water; this particular image is supposedly one of the "most interesting," according to someone who claims to have seen the full set by Steven Meisel.

The Miu Miu Fall 2009 campaign, which has yet to appear, will reportedly have a strong androgynous theme. [TFS, TFS]

Gisele Bundchen

Gisele Bundchen May Just Be Pregnant, This Time

>> There was an outright denial from her husband Tom Brady last month, but sources have confirmed to People that Gisele Bundchen is indeed expecting.  Although the couple hasn't confirmed the information themselves — and may not, given how they handled press surrounding their wedding — Gisele has indicated in the past that she wants a big family.

While Gisele's still hard at work and walked the Colcci runway for Sao Paulo Fashion Week earlier this week, as she typically does every season, she was outfitted in much baggier clothes that the typical midriff-baring tops and tight bustiers they give her.  Also adding to suspicion: the fact that all her new Fall 2009 Loewe ads have her holding a bag over her midsection. But if People's source is correct, Gisele is said to be "ecstatic" and due early next year.

Louis Vuitton

Marc Jacobs Doesn't Design Louis Vuitton Cruise, But Encourages Leaning Out of Buildings in His Fall 2009 Ads

>> The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010 we saw last week was the work of new Vuitton design director Julie de Libran, who has taken Peter Copping's place now that he's heading up Nina Ricci; apparently for some time now, Marc Jacobs has entrusted Resort designing to one of his lieutenants.

Meanwhile, the Fall 2009 ads for his namesake label are starting to appear; one with Natasa Vojnovic leaning out of a building precariously, and another a collage of portraits of Natasa, Ajuma Nasenyana, and Kamila Filipcikova.  Irina Kulikova and Olga Sherer are also supposed to appear in the Juergen Teller-lensed set.

Gucci

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin still did the photographing honors, but the look is a hard-edged change from the pastoral, verdant ads of seasons past.  Expected in upcoming images: perennial Gucci faces like Jacquetta Wheeler, Raquel Zimmermann, Freja Beha Erichsen, Natasha Poly, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, with a few surprises — Myf Shepherd, Dree Hemingway, and Jamie Bochert. Mango

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Mango seems to have a thing for offspring — Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld is being replaced as face of the brand by Jeremy Irons's son Max, who was photographed by Franca Sozzani's son Francesco Carrozzini (left) in a Barcelona studio against a white backdrop.  Irons joins Scarlett Johansson, who is the Fall 2009 women's face for Mango.

Giorgio Armani

Raquel Zimmermann Shows Off Razor Sharp Cheekbones for Giorgio Armani Fall 2009 Campaign

>> Giorgio Armani has niece Roberta Armani increasingly stepping in for him in the public eye as a brand ambassador and just released the newest set of underwear ads featuring David Beckham this morning, but the brand face we're most interested in is Raquel Zimmermann, whose Fall 2009 ads for Armani — the first of many for her this season — are starting to pop up.  The same team was used for Fall 2009 as for Spring 2009: stylist Katy England with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, but Raquel replaces Sasha Pivovarova as the face of the brand.

Burberry

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —As rumored, Emma Watson was photographed near Burberry's new London headquarters by Mario Testino for the brand's Fall 2009 campaign.  The campaign highlights the label's British heritage with a peek of the River Thames, which Christopher Bailey calls a "wonderfully historic part of London," in one ad, and reiterates the heritage with the choice of British actress Watson.  The decision to use Watson does, however, represent a shift in casting for the brand, from featuring models — in the past Eden Clark, Lily Donaldson, Agyness Deyn — to a celebrity.

Hussein Chalayan Keeps Expanding Under Puma's Wing, This Time With Signature Fall 2009 Campaign

>> Hussein Chalayan has yet to debut his first designs for PPR-owned Puma — they come out in the Fall — but he's definitely feeling the love from Puma's majority stake in his own company and the access to Gucci Group resources.  He said when his role as Puma creative director was first annouced in February 2008 that he hoped "this partnership will mean that my work will reach more people, both through designing for Puma and with the expansion of my own business," and it has — his collaboration with J.

Prada

>> THE MODELIZER —New modeling faces are rolling into New York, trying to make a dent in time for resort season, and one girl who's been getting a lot of attention, particularly because she's new on the Prada rotation — she's said to have shot an upcoming (presumedly Fall 2009) Miu Miu ad campaign with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and just closed Prada's resort show yesterday — is 18-year-old Hannah Holman from small town Utah.
