Karl's girls were out in full force at the Chanel Spring 2013 Couture show in Paris on Tuesday. Laura Bailey, who's lately been a Chanel front-row fixture, looked the picture of gamine chic in wide-legged trousers, a striped long-sleeve, and knit beret, while fellow Chanel favorite Diane Kruger channeled girlish charm in a puritan collared A-line frock. Also in attendance was Hailee Steinfeld, whose argyle cardigan and leather skirt combo made quite a statement thanks to a newsboy cap perched jauntily atop her head.

See all the notables who attended the show — including Clémence Poésy, Rita Ora, and Ana Girardot — right here.

Acne Paper 14 Party Pictures With Sofia Coppola & Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung, Sofia Coppola, and Clemence Poesy were among those who braved the rain Monday night to fete Acne Paper's Issue 14. Held at New York's storied Four Seasons Restaurant, the champagne-filled soiree featured live jazz from the Blue Velvet quintet, while music stands placed around the room showcased copies of the paper. At 272 pages, it's the magazine's biggest issue yet, and also the first time it's been entirely dedicated to a single locale. "We could have chosen London, Paris, Berlin, or any other city of cosmopolitan importance, but we took Manhattan," editor in chief Thomas Persson explained. "During our many visits to the Big Apple we have had the great fortune of befriending a number of wonderful people who have only taken a keen interest in our publication but who have also helped shape it." Perhaps some of those friends were also in attendance — we spied fashion vets Simon Doonan, Lily Donaldson, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Olivier Theyskens, and Monique Pean all there and having a pretty grand time. An inside look at all the fun, here.

Clémence Poésy Has Us Smitten With Her Change-of-Seasons Style

Clémence Poésy's look at last night's Cyrano de Bergerac photocall is pretty much a how-to in transitioning seamlessly to Fall.

Clémence Poésy's look at last night's Cyrano de Bergerac photocall is pretty much a how-to in transitioning seamlessly to Fall. With a nod to both seasons, she blends a moodier palette and still summery silhouettes — not to mention that the beauty does it all with a dose of her signature effortless Parisian flair. True, Clémence may have a certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to styling, but we're breaking it all down right here to nail the same cool-girl effect.

  • Clémence works the in-between-seasons angle with a sleeveless top that speaks to Summer, but a tulip-style skirt that hints at Fall with its gray hue.
  • The key to pulling off styling that spans two seasons can be a single piece that helps to span that gap. In this case, Clémence relies on a pair of buckled brogues to tie it all together with quintessential Fall vibe.
  • Clémence gets extra points for blending not only seasons in her look, but marrying a laid-back, tomboy vibe with girlier pieces. The trick is keeping colors more neutral and details on the simpler side; overworked or heavily embellished tops won't give you the desired effect when they're juxtaposed with darker hues and borrowed-from-the-boys footwear.

Le Look du Jour: 24 Modern French Muses

"With French women you first see the woman and then you see the clothes," Carine Roitfeld has said when describing the essence of French style.
    Modern French Style Icons

"With French women you first see the woman and then you see the clothes," Carine Roitfeld has said when describing the essence of French style. "It's more the way you mix the clothes and how you move, how you open your bag, how you cross your legs — just little things that make a difference."

Roitfeld makes it sound simple, but that perfect mix of irreverence, glamour, beauty, effortlessness, sex appeal, and slouch? Easier said than done. "It’s the fantasy of the entire world of women, even French women, to be the perfect Parisienne," Le Figaro columnist Bertrand de Saint Vincent explained recently in The New York Times.

Elusive, yes, but not impossible. Brigitte Bardot did it. Francoise Hardy and Jane Birkin, too. And while there's no denying the allure of those indelible dames, they're not the only ones. In honor of Bastille Day, check out 24 totally modern French femmes who somehow embody that certain je nais se quoi to a T.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and the extended cast of Harry Potter came together in London's Trafalgar Square today to premiere the final installment of the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and the extended cast of Harry Potter came together in London's Trafalgar Square today to premiere the final installment of the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Emma arrived in a beautiful floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown and raced over to greet fans and sign autographs before taking her place on the red carpet. Her best friends in the film, Rupert and Daniel, followed closely behind, also thanking fans and posing for pictures. The principle cast took the stage with J.K. Rowling and spoke to the audience of millions watching across the globe. Daniel first thanked fans and the cast and went on to say, "This isn't the end as fans will carry this story with them through the rest of their lives."

Emma then took to the podium and professed her love for her costars and especially Rupert and Daniel, saying, "Dan didn't get lucky, you were and are the perfect Harry and will be forever" and thanked "Rupert for making me laugh, I'll miss you so much," then broke down into tears before thanking J.K. for playing such a "great role model" in her life. Rupert was the final of the trio to take the mic, saying a simple "I love you" to the fans and crew and thanking J.K for everything she's done "for ginger people." It was a day full of mixed emotions for all of those involved with the franchise, and J.K. even joked, "I should write another one!" before wrapping up the event with her final words, saying, "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Hudgens, and Uma Thurman hit the beachside red carpet for Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein euphoria, and the Independent Filmmakers Project in Cannes last night. The setting was perfection and the crowd of onlookers was thrilled to get a glimpse at the stars as they headed into the bash at Hotel Martinez's waterside setup. Uma has been everywhere as one of this year's Cannes Film Festival jurors and both she and Rosario were honored at the evening's event. Rosario and Vanessa spent the afternoon shopping around the town's many luxury shops after arriving in Nice earlier in the day. Vanessa Hudgens was quoted about coming out to support her friend, "I think it’s really great when somebody gives women an opportunity to come out and stand up for what they are doing, and I’m so excited to be here." The duo were also glowing as they arrived side-by-side to make their way into the exclusive soiree. It was just one of many celebrations going on up and down the Cannes promenade and just across the street in the penthouse balcony of the Hotel Martinez, Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson were cuddling up at L'Oreal Paris's private party.
