Chanel kicks off the Pre-Fall 2012 campaign season with a mesmerizing black-and-white spread starring Daria Strokous and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Decked out in the label's Paris-Bombay collection — complete with elaborate head-dress — Strokous poses against a cafe bar while the label's latest flap-bags hang out nearby. >> Chanel's Pre-Fall 2012 Metiers d'Art runway show guests were seated at an elaborate banquet set up in the Grand Palais in Paris today, where they were served champagne, guava juice, tea, and miniature cakes and sandwiches. An antique silver train with the double-C Chanel logo ran around the central banquet table.
The Paris-Bombay-themed collection, inspired by the jewels, colors, and fabrics of India, was accented by nose rings and twisted dreadlock updos. John Lennon's "Instant Karma!" played on the soundtrack. More pictures will be added as they come in.
