There's no shortage of white and light monochrome looks this Spring 2010, it seems like almost every designer showing in Paris sent at least one down the runway. Not that we blame them. The Spring 2010 men's collections revealed an array of interesting trousers and shorts--among them, the drop-crotch silhouette. Seen from the likes of Givenchy, Kris Van Assche and Rick Owens, among others, these lightweight trousers gave off an easy sporty vibe and were often paired with casual footwear and equally baggy shirting.
This season in Milan, Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati debuted a short film before his Spring 2010 men's collection went down the runway. Directed by Samuel Benchetrit and starring Benchetrit's 11 year-old son, Jules, the film depicts the mischievous happenings of a young boy left alone for the afternoon. Aside from videos, YSL's recent marketing strategies and special projects include outstanding and well-received multimedia manifestos, unisex collections and eco-friendly offerings.
