>> April 30: mark it down now -- you have a date with the telly. "Helmut by June," a portrait of Helmut Newton as seen through the lens of his wife June, premieres at 7 pm ET/PT on CINEMAX. You get the unique experience of viewing what goes on behind the scenes at a Newton shoot in the nineties -- what a privilege. The trailer can be seen here (and features one of my favorite Newton images, a nude woman half-eaten by a stuffed alligator).

i rented it from kim's video in nyc a long time ago. if they don't have it anymore ask for it at evergreen (also in nyc on carmine st.)also check out "portfolio" - shot in '83 with steven meisel and the supermodels of the day. if you google it you can find a short clip on youtube.
you're talking about "frames from the edge," right? i've been meaning to watch that... it sounds fantastic. where were you able to watch it? i've had a hard time coming across it.
there's a documentary of him from the 80's that great. interviews of charlotte rampling shot in the dark smoking a cigarette. a go-see where he asks a models to show him her breasts...
wow that looks exiting, I was wondering if anyone reading this could record the program and upload it somewhere.
