>> Roberto Cavalli was sentenced Thursday to 14 months in jail for tax evasion, after claiming $3.14 million used to refurbish his home as business expenses. A technicality in Italian law will likely exempt him from actually serving jail time (surprise!), WWD reports. Cavalli is already looking to appeal the judgment, claiming that the home is question is also his business headquarters.
