This week's lion's share of gorgeous looks by far belonged to the Venice Film Festival. Not only were some of the chicest actresses of the moment in attendance, but the sheer volume of photocalls, dinners, parties, and screenings also guaranteed that the opportunities for style inspiration would be plentiful.
br>
At the premiere of The Iceman, Brit Marling looked angelic in a strapless, white Resort 2013 Gucci gown, the hem of which was printed with a garden of grasses and blooms. At the same premiere, Winona Ryder took the opposite approach in a darkly dramatic lace Dolce & Gabbana — and the results were equally as stunning.
br>
But the true star of Venice, style-wise anyway, has really been Kasia Smutniak. The Polish actress, former model, and festival's host has looked flawless at every single appearance and in every single dress — from a gauzy floral Valentino to a Raf Simons Jil Sander to a streamlined, crimson Armani Privé.

All the Fall 2012 Ad Campaigns
Fall 2012 ad campaigns have arrived, and with them comes a stunning array of visuals from some of our favorite fashion houses. Among the standouts: a whimsical Where the Wild Things Are-themed Mulberry shoot featuring Lindsey Wixson; a bewitching segment by Marc Jacobs featuring Magda Laguinge, Marie Piovesan, Marte Mei Van Haaster, Ros Georgiou, and Tati Cotliar in ghastly makeup; and a futuristic spread from Givenchy featuring Saskia de Brauw and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Also in the mix and of note: Chloe Sevigny's reprised role as the face of Miu Miu. All those — plus more to come as they arrive — in the slideshow.

Iris Apfel: Style Is All Attitude
"Style is all attitude," declares living legend Iris Apfel in a trailer for a documentary that's currently being made about her. "Attitude attitude attitude. And if you know how to carry something off, you can make it look wonderful — and it doesn't have to be expensive, and it doesn't have to be trendy. As a matter of fact, sometimes those things work against you. A trend can be a wonderful thing if it works for you. But if it doesn't, it's useless and you can look freaky." More pearls of fashion wisdom abound in the video below.
The Models With the Most Vogue Covers of All Time

br>
Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen are on the list of the 10 women who have the most Vogue covers in history — but they're not on top.
That honor belongs to model and actress Lauren Hutton, who has graced the cover of the fashion bible 26 times since 1966. The second spot on the list belongs to another model and actress, Jean Shrimpton, who was photographed for the cover 20 times. Bundchen and Moss are at the bottom of the list, with 11 and 8 covers, respectively. A look at the other lovely women who've enjoyed more Vogue covers than anyone else in the list below.
- Lauren Hutton: 26 covers
- Jean Shrimpton: 20 covers
- Karen Graham: 20 covers
- Cindy Crawford: 18 covers
- Claudia Schiffer: 16 covers
- Jean Patchett: 16 covers
- Amber Valletta: 16 covers
- Veruschka: 12 covers
- Gisele Bundchen: 11 covers
- Kate Moss: 8 covers

Jessica Stam Warns Models to Be on Time For Fashion Week

br>
Jessica Stam may now be one of the modeling industry's biggest faces, but the beginning of her career was overshadowed by a serious punctuality problem.
"One time, years ago, she was all dressed and lined up for the runway when, to James Scully's horror, she disappeared," wrote The Cut's Charlotte Cowles after attending an advisement panel Stam attended for 27 of IMG Model's Fashion Week newcomers. "They had to hold up the entire show while they mounted a panicky search; she was eventually found in line at the Starbucks across the street. 'I don't know what I was thinking,' she said. Scully eventually forgave her, and now they exchange Starbucks gift cards at Christmas. 'Still, don't do that,' she warned. 'I had to earn a lot of people's trust back.'"
David Cunningham, IMG's vice-president of development, said the event was "a bit like summer camp orientation, isn't it?"
Who's in the Running to Replace Sally Singer at T? (Updated)
The New York Times has reportedly already spoken to a number of potential candidates to replace T Magazine editor in chief Sally Singer, whose departure was announced Tuesday.
Deborah Needleman, who edits T's chief rival WSJ. Magazine, GQ deputy editor Michael Hainey, and the Times' Styles section editor Stuart Emmrich have been approached about the position, according to WWD. While Hainey and Emmrich have not commented on the job, Needleman gave the impression that she's not leaving any time soon.
"I love my job," Needleman said from a beach in Indiana. "I'm focusing on our Fall-Winter issues right now from the Midwest."
This report follows rumors Wednesday that T's former online director Horacio Silva was also in the running for the position. He's currently the director of content at the marketing communications and entertainment firm ALLDAYEVERYDAY, but before that Silva had been with T for 10 years.
He was reportedly in the running to replace Stefano Tonchi as editor in chief when Tonchi left to take the reins at W Magazine in March 2010. Singer was selected for the position in June 2010, and Silva made his exit in May 2011.
Another former staffer said that Singer's leaving may have something to do with how much money her version of T was — or wasn't — making. "The Times will always look at that magazine as a cash cow, and because it wasn't a cash cow under her, I think they were getting frustrated," the staffer said.
