Agyness Deyn Married Actor Giovanni Ribisi Last Week

File this under unions no one saw coming: Agyness Deyn eloped with actor Giovanni Ribisi last Friday.

File this under unions no one saw coming: Agyness Deyn eloped with actor Giovanni Ribisi last Friday. According to Crown City News, the couple was spotted "passionately kissing" in line at the eastern branch of the Los Angeles County Registrar's office. When asked if they were there to get married, they shyly said yes. Ribisi also added that he and Deyn had been dating for "a while."

A spokesperson for Ribisi confirmed the happy news on Thursday afternoon, saying, "Agyness Deyn and Giovanni Ribisi quietly married in Los Angeles over the weekend." Deyn previously dated Josh Hubbard of The Paddingtons for four years but ended the relationship in 2008. She told The Daily Mail in March that she hadn't dated anyone for several months, partially due to her hectic acting schedule.

"The fact is I'm choosy, but mainly about a man's character," she said. "He has to be interesting, funny, and clever. I don't even mind if he's not very good-looking."

Diane von Furstenberg and Yvan Mispelaere looked to the skyscrapers of New York, the sunsets of California, and the saturated gardens of the South — in short, all the vast inspiration the US has to offer — for Resort 2013. Titled Zoom, the collection was filled with many of the same easy silhouettes that Mispelaere has excelled at in recent seasons: cape-back jackets, loosely gathered dresses, and softly flowing tuxedo pants. Head-to-toe prints — some geometric and based on the cobblestones near von Furstenberg's Meatpacking studio, others looser and inspired by the Rockabilly playfulness of Memphis — were also a draw; they covered everything from silky tees to pleated skirts.

Elettra Wiedemann on Her Go-To Summer Look and Big Summer Plans

From hosting the live stream of this year's Met Gala red carpet to making sure New York's fash pack gets their Fashion Week sustenance the eco way, Elettra Wiedemann has been having a very busy year.

From hosting the live stream of this year's Met Gala red carpet to making sure New York's fash pack gets their Fashion Week sustenance the eco way, Elettra Wiedemann has been having a very busy year. And as she told us at this week's Coach Carnival in New York City, her Summer is about to get even busier.

"I'm getting married," the model revealed. "Next week, just at City Hall. I'm having a tiny, tiny wedding."

As if nuptial-planning weren't enough, Wiedemann also shared another activity that's sure to be taking up plenty of time — and energy: "I'm training for a triathlon," she explained. "My fiancé and I train together on a triathlon team. I'm not a great runner, and this is my first year on a road bike with my feet clipped in. Navigating New York City traffic with clipped-in feet has been quite scary, and becoming a better runner has been quite challenging. But I'm getting there — slowly!"

So what does Wiedemann keep stocked in her busy Summer arsenal of wardrobe go-tos? "Equipment shirts — I live in Equipment shirts. They're so light and so beautiful and they look elegant but they're not annoying, you know? They don't obstruct your day."

And what about the Summer's most important ensemble, the one she'll wear when she walks down the aisle? "Oh, no, don't ask," she laughed. "I haven't figured it out yet!"

Above, Weidemann at the Coach Carnival in New York City, wearing a Coach bag (from the upcoming Coach Legacy Collection, launching Aug. 1), jean shorts, an Equipment t-shirt, Repetto flats, and a vintage belt. "I got it at a vintage store in SoHo, and it was in the bottom of a barrel. It's one of my favorites," Wiedemann said.

Mulberry Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Mulberry's Fall 2012 collection — with its furry coats and hypertextured knits — was rife with fantasy. It was, after all, inspired in part by one of the most fantastic children's tomes ever: Where the Wild Things Are. Fitting then that the brand's Fall 2012 ad campaign would follow those same imaginative themes. Shot by Tim Walker in England's Blackheath Forest (a place whose very name can't help but conjure fairy-tale visions), the images feature a Mulberry-clad Lindsey Wixson surrounded by a host of larger-than-life monsters and beasts.

Bruce Weber cast model Simon Nessman in a short film called Wet and Wild, created for Giorgio Armani's new fragrance, Acqua di Giò Essenza. Inspiration for both the scent and the short come from the Italian island of Pantelleria, where Armani has a home. "The idea was to capture, in my own way, that Mediterranean feel," said Weber. "The connection to water, the sea, and bodily freedom on a beach." Accordingly, Weber's camera followed Nessman as he swam in the ocean and roamed around a Miami beach wearing a pair of black Armani swimming trunks. A look at the film — which debuted today on Nowness — below.

It's said that Raf Simons will show his debut Fall 2012 Couture collection for Dior next month in a vacant mansion in Paris, eschewing the house's traditional show venues. Simons is rumored to have selected a house on the Avenue d'Iéna, one of the streets that converges at the Arc de Triomphe. According to the official Couture Week schedule, Dior will show the collection twice on July 2: once to customers and once to the press.

In the past, Dior has staged its Couture shows in the gardens of the Rodin Museum, or in its couture salons on the Avenue Montaigne.

Yves Saint Laurent

Hedi Slimane to Change Name of Yves Saint Laurent

Hedi Slimane's first big move as creative director of Yves Saint Laurent will be to change the brand's name to Saint Laurent Paris.

Hedi Slimane's first big move as creative director of Yves Saint Laurent will be to change the brand's name to Saint Laurent Paris.

The switch was confirmed Thursday after rumors circulated Wednesday. Saint Laurent CEO Paul Deneve explained the change to his staff in an internal memo:

"I am very pleased to announce an exciting step in the history of our brand and our business. As part of our strategy to become one of the world's true leaders in fashion and luxury, we are transforming the name of our brand from 'Yves Saint Laurent' to 'Saint Laurent Paris.' The new name of our brand has been shared with the media today. The brand identity and visual language will be introduced over the next several months and will be fully in place for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. This change celebrates our legacy and heritage, while boldly marking our ambition for the future. It will allow us to return to the fundamentals of YSL and revive the spirit and the intentions that reigned over the creation of 'Saint Laurent Rive Gauche' in 1966: principles of youth, freedom, and modernity."

While the name of the brand will change, the house's iconic YSL logo — a French cultural icon — will not disappear. However, Slimane also plans to reintroduce the original fonts that were used when the Rive Gauche line launched in 1966. (At right, an ad announcing the opening of the store.)

Slimane, who took over the creative director's chair from Stefano Pilati in March, will present his first two collections for the house — men's Spring 2013 and women's Resort 2013 — to buyers only. He intends to make his first big statement to the press with his Spring 2013 collection during Paris Fashion Week later this year. When he assumed control, Slimane was given "total creative responsibility for the brand image and all its collections."

For Diane von Furstenberg, It's All About Empowering Women

Diane von Furstenberg — who has opened three stores in China in the last five years — said in a recent interview that regardless of nationality, all the women she dresses are fundamentally similar.

Diane von Furstenberg — who has opened three stores in China in the last five years — said in a recent interview that regardless of nationality, all the women she dresses are fundamentally similar.

"You would be surprised: Whether she is Russian or Brazilian or French or American, my consumer is the same," she said. "But it is great to design for Chinese women, because they have great bodies. They are slim and have tiny waists, so it's nice."

The designer was quick to point out that more than their figures, she admires women for their strength — and that empowering women has always been a central tenant of her work.

"What I like about women is always strength," the designer explained. "All women are the same really: They are strong, but they are afraid of their own strength."

One such strong woman was von Furstenberg's mother, a German prisoner of war. "She went to the death camps and survived. She weighed 49 pounds, so she wasn't supposed to survive," von Furstenberg said. "She always told me that God made her survive so that she could give me life. So my birth was a miracle, and therefore I carry her flag."

And it seems von Furstenberg will continue to carry that flag wherever she goes. "I think I will be DVF till the end. I don't want to retire from life. I am too engaged, I am too curious, too interested, and I still think I can make an impact. And in this part of my life, I want to make an impact."
