Olivier Theyskens's Resort 2013 is filled with the sorts of slouchy-sleek separates that can't help but exude an intrinsic sense of cool. Fitting then that the collection would be a personal favorite of someone who also can't help but exude that same sense of cool: Taylor Tomasi Hill. The former Marie Claire style director and current Moda Operandi artistic director took time out to walk us through her favorite picks from the collection — now available for a limited time for preorder — and spills how she would style each piece. From a leather pair of short-shorts to an oil-slick burnout sweater to the gauziest multicolored sparkling top, they're all here, and they're all totally covetable. After all, as Tomasi Hill says, "Who doesn't need a sequin crop tee? Olivier Theyskens made me realize I absolutely need this one."

Dolce & Gabbana to Present Test-Run Couture Collection

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will dip their toes into couture when they present a small, custom collection in Taormina, Sicily on July 9.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will dip their toes into couture when they present a small, custom collection in Taormina, Sicily on July 9. Most of the show's attendees will be clients, and reportedly only three unspecified media outlets — none of them American — are on the invitation list.

If rumors are to be believed, this presentation is a test that will allow Dolce & Gabbana to determine whether adding a Couture collection to its repertoire is a good business decision. A source inside the house said the designers had been interested in the "artistic challenge" of couture for some time.

Dolce & Gabbana's rival Italian fashion houses Versace and Armani will present their own couture collections in Paris on July 1 and July 3, respectively.

Colorful party dresses that sparkle with vim and optimism were the bulk — and, in fact, almost the entirety — of Erin Fetherston's Resort 2013 collection. The plentiful frocks came in bright hues of turquoise, orange, and pink, and a few were decorated with oversized bows. There were a few separates in neutral colors — a white jacket and gray cardigan, for example — and lace dresses in black, white, and navy looked especially demure next to their shimmery cousins. While a few short dresses had front panels liberally sprinkled with sequins, an excellent pink number was covered with them from neckline to hem.
