>> The collaborations just keep coming: Zac Posen and Nanette Lepore are the latest designers to announce mass market deals. In April, Posen's capsule collection of 12 dresses — ranging in price from $149 to $199 — will hit 30 Lord & Taylor stores. And in early 2013, Lepore will launch a line for juniors with "sophisticated tastes" at over 600 J.C. Penney locations. Entitled L'amour, Lepore's line will feature dresses, prom looks, silk-screened t-shirts, sportswear, and denim. "This will not be a capsule collection," J.C. Penney president Michael Francis told WWD. "This is a meaningful, multi-year relationship." Francis also noted that this isn't the only collaboration the retailer has in the works, adding, "This is the first of our new designer partnerships. We will bring in the right designers."

Chanel Spring 2012 Couture
>> "No '50s, no '60s, no '70s; just what I like," Karl Lagerfeld said of his Spring 2012 Couture collection for Chanel. Presented in an Air Chanel jumbo jet — built in the Grand Palais specifically for the occasion and complete with Chanel logo carpet, skylights, and airplane seats — the collection was a "monochrome rainbow" of blues, blacks, and creams, in straightforward silhouettes that moved easily from day to night. Suits, dresses, and jackets were structured and clean, with dropped waists, puffed sleeves, low pockets, and wide, stand-away necklines. For evening, there were tiered gowns and organza trapeze cocktail dresses glimmering with crystals, beads, sequins, and high-shine PVC.

Floor-grazing pleated sundresses in super-soft jersey ($79), coats in brushstroke prints ($89), and leggings paneled in slick faux leather ($69). "My clothes have always been about making women feel elegant and modern, which is why I am so excited about this capsule collection," Chung says. Celine Cancels Fall 2012 Runway Show
>> LVMH wants Phoebe Philo — who is pregnant with her third child — to take it easy. "A runway show is a very demanding and personal engagement for a creative director," Celine's chief executive officer, Marco Gobbetti, told WWD. "The objective is to simplify." Though the house hasn't confirmed an alternative plan, the Fall 2012 collection will now most likely be presented in a more informal setting. Celine will maintain its current spot on the Paris Fashion Week calendar; Philo — who is currently "designing the collection with her team" — is expected to attend.

Christian Dior Spring 2012 Couture
>> Bill Gaytten went for pure nostalgia at Dior's Spring 2012 couture show in Paris earlier today. "All the structure of iconic Dior, thanks to lots of fittings, but all of it see-through," Gaytten explained. And so, the house's New Look silhouettes were done up in layers of ultra-femme chiffon, organza, gauze, and — for a bit of tough-edged modernity — croc-stamped leather and checks. Frocks were full-skirted and nipped at the waist, or slim-lined with artfully folded pleats, while jackets wrapped in deep, off-the-shoulder vees. "It was the complete opposite to John Galliano-fantasy. It was very wearable," commented a Vogue UK editor who was at the show.
The Chicest Looks From Sundance
>> Kate Bosworth, Emma Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, and Elizabeth Olsen were among those who descended on Park City for this year's Sundance Film Festival. Though the weather provided plenty of opportunities for bundled-up Winter looks, there were just as many dressier moments to be had as well: Emma wore a body-con floral Topshop dress to the Celeste and Jesse Forever dinner, while Kate — in town for the premiere of her new film Black Rock — was spotted on the red carpet in a crimson, beaded Antonio Berardi number. See those looks — plus others — here, in the slideshow.
Atelier Versace Spring 2012 Couture
>> Atelier Versace kicked off couture week with a star-studded front row, a supermodel-packed runway, and their first couture offering since 2004. Karlie Kloss, Lindsey Wixson, Arizona Muse, Karmen Pedaru, and Josephine Skriver were among those who modeled the 15-look collection, which was heavy on corseted metallic gowns, hot orange and lime minidresses, and futuristic detailing. "You know I’m a sucker for anything glittery," commented Cameron Diaz, who — along with Diane Kruger, Abbie Cornish, and Anna Dello Russo — attended the show.
