Coco Rocha was at her home in Westchester, NY, when Hurricane Sandy made landfall — but the storm's fierce winds and rain had as much of an effect on her as they did on people in New York City.
br>
"Surveying damage in my hood," the model tweeted on Tuesday, sharing a picture of a fallen tree on her street. "Many huge trees down like this one crushing a house & car." She later added that she had lost power.
br>
The same fate befell Prabal Gurung, who lives on Third Street in New York, and to the hundreds of thousands of people who live in lower Manhattan. Gurung made it to safety and electricity uptown, then posted an Instagram picture Instagram of the view from his temporary home.

Other New Yorkers who work in the industry stayed closer to home, but still helped document the damage caused by the worst storm the Northeast has seen in a century. Take a look at what they saw here, in the gallery.

What Will Carine Roitfeld's Fragrance Be Named?

br>
Earlier this week we pondered what Carine Roitfeld's rumored fragrance might smell like, but now the big question is what the scent will be called. In January, Roitfeld reportedly trademarked the brand name Forgive Me and applied for protection for a wide range of beauty products. But in 2010, the fashion editor was granted a trademark for her own name that covers beauty products, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories.
But which moniker will her fragrance ultimately take? It's been over two years since she trademarked her own name, and we have yet to see a Carine Roitfeld-branded ready-to-wear line or shoe collection, so perhaps she won't use that trademark. On the other hand, a "notice of possible opposition" was filed earlier this month against the Forgive Me trademark, so that name may not be the final version of Roitfeld's brand, either.

The Campaign That Caused Kate Moss's Nervous Breakdown
Kate Moss says the iconic Calvin Klein ad she did early in her career caused her to have a mental collapse.
"I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18, when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts," Moss says in the December issue of Vanity Fair. "It didn't feel like me at all. I felt really bad straddling this buff guy. I didn't like it. I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die. I went to the doctor and he said, 'I'll give you some Valium,' and Francesca Sorrenti [Moss's friend and mother of Mario Sorrenti], thank God, said, 'You're not taking that.'"
Elsewhere in the interview, Moss discusses her discomfort with posing nude for Corinne Day — the photographer who discovered her – the "years and years of crying" she suffered after breaking up with Johnny Depp, and the mental anguish she dealt with in her first years as a model.
"It was just anxiety. Nobody takes care of you mentally. There's a massive pressure to do what you have to do. I was really little, and I was going to work with Steven Meisel. It was just really weird — a stretch limo coming to pick you up from work. I didn't like it. But it was work, and I had to do it."

The Creepiest Fashion Editorials Ever
Nowhere is fashion's long-running love affair with the dark side better illustrated than in the pages of glossy magazines. In fact, it seems that certain photographers' sole purpose — we're talking about you, Craig McDean, Tim Walker, Steven Klein, Yelena Yemchuk, Mert & Marcus, and Steven Meisel — is to create images that go beyond the subtly subversive and into territory that is downright macabre. From chilling cemetery scenes to nightmare-inducing institutional interactions, these are some of the spookiest fashion editorials around.
