>> Over the weekend, rumored girlfriends Freja Beha Erichsen and Arizona Muse were snapped doing a photo shoot outside the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, wearing head-to-toe Chloe. Muse was sporting her newly chopped shag — "The thing that kind of started me was that bob — and I felt like it was time for a change," she told Into the Gloss of the new haircut — in what appears to be the upcoming Spring 2012 campaign shoot.

>> Zac Posen riffed on the idea of wardrobe essentials — with a twist — for his Spring 2012 Z Spoke collection. "There's no need for more essentials that are basic," he explains. "These have a bit of fashion to them." To that end, Posen's essentials are dressed-up, playful, and full of the designer's signature feminine detailing: lean-cut trousers come in shiny two-tone faille or tie-dyed lace, shirt dresses in whisper-weight seersucker, and skirts in swinging full flares. There's plenty of wearable whimsy too — a swinging "disco tent dress" in shimmering sequins, a floaty ruched-chiffon neon shift — and lots of lively prints, like an "acid" cheetah in chartreuse and lemon, ditsy florals in abstracted batiks. "This is a wardrobe, and it's nice to be able to mix it up and show the diversity of it," Posen says.

The collection's diversity carries through to accessories as well, with luxe Nappa leather totes and embossed-croc satchels mingling easily with brightly-colored iPad cases and studded clutches — which run from $225 to $695. Ford tells Vogue.com that this collection is inspired by the reaction to his first two womenswear collections: “It seems people came looking for what they used to find from me — the ruched dresses, the shaggy fur jackets.” He continues: “My focus is really old-fashioned. I want to do classic clothes. I don’t want to do trendy collections that swing around from season to season. I want to do things that will stay in a woman’s wardrobe a long time — quite ‘forever’ pieces. So I’m looking for consistency.” And how does he define a Tom Ford classic? “Blouses with a loose, slouchy quality; something fitted at the waist, and with a bondage-y thing on the foot — my favorite is the wedge with the chain-strap!”

As for the Fall 2012 season, Ford is already planning to do “ten small, personal presentations” at his London showroom in February, where he'll talk through each look as one by one, his models stand next to him. And about that movie career? “Well, moviemaking has gone away in favor of bag-making,” he told Vogue.com.

>> Lauren Bush and David Lauren were married over Labor Day after at his family's 17,000-acre Double RL ranch in Ridgway, Colorado, before some 200 guests. Now, a few pictures — including engagement shots —have been released in the upcoming December 2011 issue of Vogue.

The general look of the wedding — which included a rodeo the day after the ceremony — was “rustic elegance,” Bush Lauren explained. “A beautiful movie,” David adds, “like you were riding across the Old West and you stopped in at a wedding.”

Bush Lauren wore Ralph Lauren on her wedding day, of course. She and the designer had a few casual conversations about the sort of dress she'd like at family meals and holiday weekends, and then in late June they met at the Ralph Lauren studio for an official design meeting. “I walked in, and there were these beautiful illustrations of the looks we’d discussed with my face on them,” she recalls. “It was like a dream come true. We sat together and arrived at this silhouette. It isn’t Victorian exactly. I wanted something modern as well, so there is the high-necked collar and puffed shoulders with the large open back.”

The long-sleeved gown was the product of 100 craftspeople spending more than 3,000 hours hand-embroidering featherweight, antique ivory tulle with flower motifs and scroll designs using ivory silk and metallic thread, Swarovski Elements crystals, and off-white pearl beads. The bride and her five bridesmaids — who were dressed in white linen blouses, vests, and vintage prairie skirts — all wore cowboy boots. Bush Lauren's something new? The dress and boots. Her something old? Her headpiece. Her something borrowed? Victorian earrings from a friend. And her something blue? “I wore blue socks,” she laughed.
