>> Crystal Renn's agent recently addressed rumors that she was losing weight after images came out portraying her much thinner. Now, Crystal herself has spoken out, saying that she was "shocked" when she saw the images and adding, "they look retouched to me." See a pre-retouch image here.

Renn, who is featured in the Fall 2010 Jean Paul Gaultier ads (left), which she calls "a highlight in my career," says that she wants people to "feel reassured that I am taking care of myself and am very happy. I am a size 10. My weight loss is due to body adjustment because of working out after a seven-year hiatus." As for what started the weight loss: "It started with stress. Then, to take care of the stress, I went hiking in Patagonia for three weeks. Since then, I have continued hiking and have established a regular yoga and meditation program." She told Glamour: "It took me seven years to be ready to go back to the gym because I exercised in such an extreme way during my eating disorder."

>> Anne Christensen on Heading to Glamour —After leaving T, Anne Christensen nabbed a full-time, executive fashion director position at Glamour within two weeks time — was she expecting to move so quickly? "Not at all! To be honest, I was looking forward to a leisurely summer. But sometimes opportunities come up, and I truly felt like this was the right moment and the right job. I think Cindi [Lieve, Glamour editor] is great. She’s very respected, and I couldn’t say no." And how does she feel about the move to a mass audience? "Even in my last few years at T, I was trying to embrace mass market brands, and this is a great mix of high and low. This is how people dress, and we just have to embrace this reality. I’m not afraid of the challenge." [DFR]

Models clad in colorful Trina Turk beachwear hit the runway in Miami yesterday for the designer's 2011 fashion show, marking the start of Fashion Week Swim in Miami. This was the first time showing at Miami's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim for the LA-based Turk, who was named "Mercedes-Benz Presents" designer for the event. Presenting to a full house at the Raleigh, Trina Turk brought her unique brand of West Coast glamour to South Beach in a lineup that was largely inspired by Hollywood's jaunts to Acapulco in the '60s and '70s (think bright headscarves and iridescent tunics). Oversize jewelry (better to stand up to the designer's bold prints) and gold hardware set off the colorful kaftans, tropical printed bikinis, netted cover-ups, cute printed beach bags, and some gigantic straw sun hats. See the complete runway show in the gallery below.
