McMenamy made the decision six years ago to stop dying her hair. “You’ve got to keep moving forward,” she told Vogue. “You can get older and still be rock-’n’-roll. I thought all that gray hair would make a beautiful picture.”

But despite the decision to go au naturel, it sounds like she doesn't get to evade a dye job altogether: “I have one big black streak in the center of my hair. It sounds really cool, but it’s not. Josh [McMenamy's hairdresser] lightens it to match the rest.”

Jerome Dreyfuss SoHo Store Gets Covered in Masking Tape by Julien Gardair

As if you needed reason to stop by the Jerome Dreyfuss shop in New York beyond his gorgeous collection of leather and python handbags, the designer has commissioned French artist Julien Gardair to create a one-of-a-kind art installation for his newly opened boutique.

As if you needed reason to stop by the Jerome Dreyfuss shop in New York beyond his gorgeous collection of leather and python handbags, the designer has commissioned French artist Julien Gardair to create a one-of-a-kind art installation for his newly opened boutique. Inspired by Palm Springs (where Dreyfuss also found inspiration for his summer 2010 collection), Gardair layered black masking tape sketches over the shop's white tiled walls. “I think it’s very interesting when young artists don’t have money to express themselves. Then they have to find ways to be able to say what they want to say…using materials you don’t use normally for art,” said Dreyfuss, who has hinted that the multimedia artist's work has an impact on his upcoming fall collection.

Gardair's installation will be on view in Jerome Dreyfuss's store through September, but the art collaboration is certainly not the last for Dreyfuss, who selected his SoHo space for its gallery-like qualities.

Stella McCartney used Natalia Vodianova in her fall campaign, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and featuring colorful illustrations from artist Barry Reigate.

Anna Mouglalis, who stars in Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky on Karl Lagerfeld's disappointment with the film: "[Karl] was very keen for me to show Coco's humour but that was something the director didn't want to do. For him nothing can be precise enough. This film is just one interpretation and shows a certain point of view. I didn't even have to ask for his help though - he relayed anecdotes about Coco, showed me the archives and lent me some beautiful dresses."

Diane von Furstenberg flew all 24 of the Radio City Rockettes to Vienna to perform at the annual Life Ball.

>> Is PPR Eyeing Burberry? —Reports from the UK financial markets that Burberry may be acquired — first it was by LVMH, now it seems to be PPR circling — won't die. Needless to say, Burberry is doing well — the brand experienced a 30.6 percent sales hike in the first part of the year — and PPR is reportedly in the process of building its portfolio of brands. But spokespeople from PPR and Burberry both declined to comment on the speculation. [WWD]

Stella McCartney Still Enamored with Cartoons for Her Fall 2010 Ads

>> Stella McCartney, who populated her ads with Disney cartoons last Fall, is back again with more cartoons for her Fall 2010 campaign, this time furnished by British artist Barry Reigate. Over sparse studio shots of Natalia Vodianova taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Reigate doodled balloon letters, top hats, and clown shoes hanging off McCartney's logo. McCartney said the goal was “something direct and simple, using Natalia [Vodianova] and key collection pieces, contrasted by humor and a human touch in the treatment of the logo.”
